This is so awesome. I was revisiting the vods from evo and apex yesterday, then I come here to see this. I couldn't be more excited for everyone. Now I get to look forward to SSB news on TL :D

I've been away from Nintendo consoles for almost two decades so I've never got into Smash Bros but I can still approve of this, cool stuff. I doubt anyone saw this coming, although I was hoping for a Street Fighter team some time back.

Just one question: Why?

Melee isn't exactly a growing scene that draws in a lot of viewership, it's just an inbred scene that was neglected for a while and people were "astounded" when they remembered "Oh yeah, people play that game." It's an unbalanced mess that's mediocre at best to watch and not fun to play unless playing casually. I just don't see a point in this.

Edit: Maybe a bit harsh, nothing against the players, I'm sure they're great at what they do, and it's awesome for Liquid to support anyone who's into progaming and all that, I just don't understand why this game.
