I mean in the 1st episode they decided going to the navigators guild would be a futile effort and to question the dock foreman. In episode 2 they forget that the dock foreman existed and so went on a futile quest to the navigators guild, granted the dm sort of led them by the hand onto the story again, but who wants to bet they have no idea the corrupt arbitors play dice at a bar on Thursdays?

But the mutant they killed is also extremely relevant by itself, and they will want to know how the hell it got there. It's probably all connected somehow.
