The players and I enjoyed the oneshot so much we decided to start a campaign located in a Shadowrunner inspired DnD setting where the players are lowly street rats with no money and no future in an enormous city ruled by the rich on one side and by gangs on another. They have just been hired by one of the gangs for a simple job which is going to take place next Wednesday sometime during the evening European time.
Anyone over 18 who considers themselves friendly and can keep track of their own character's rolls etc. feel free to be in contact. I would prefer if you had some experience playing roleplaying games, but beginners are ok too if you are ok with putting some work into it. If we don't find anyone until Wednesday, we will start with 3 and the spot will be filled later.

It's infinitely easier to have a DM and look for players. Just trying to give some advice.

Yes, I understand that. But what good does it do to have that knowledge without a DM?

Being a DM is not as hard as people think. I'd suggest just trying it out. Usually players are nice to beginner DMs, and if they are not, they are probably not the people you would want to play with anyways. Also, there is no right or wrong. As long as you have fun, you are doing it right.

Our Pen and Paper group is currently looking for one new player, and thus i decided to dig out this old thread again.
We are a group of TLers and generally mostly nice people (currently we are 3 germans, one of which is stuyding in england, a swede and a USAnian) who have been playing various campaigns in different pen and paper systems online on roll20 and skype for roughly 2 years now, after we originally met partially through the original rollplay Thread and partially through this very thread. The game is obviously being played in english, but you might have to endure my horrible german accent. We play on Sundays at 17:00 CET for about 4-6 hours with a few breaks in between, which might also be acceptable for some americans if they are willing to get up earlier on the weekend.
One of our regulars has now changed his work schedule in a way that makes it pretty much impossible for him to join us, so we are looking for an additional player to get up to our favoured 6 people setup which still allows for play if 1-2 people miss the game for whatever reason.
We tend to play more lighthearded games with quite a few bad jokes being made, so if you are always super serious, you might not be the best fit. On the other hand, we are very serious about actually gaming and accepting that people are people even over the internet, so if you want to randomly turn up or not depending on how you feel half an hour before the game, we are also not the right group for you. We do campaign- and systemhop a lot, usually with shorter campaigns of about 4-8 weeks, with varying dms and systems based on who wants to run something at the time. Usually (especially if i dm) we play more story and narrative-heavy games, as opposed to very crunchy ones. However, currently our crunch-guy is running a Star Wars Saga edition (basically 3.0 as far as i know) game, so this campaign goes a bit further in that direction than usually. Still not very crunchy though, after all he still has to placate all us thespians.
There are no knowledge- or experience- requirements, you should just be interested in playing and have time on sundays. It would also be good if you were a nice guy.

The time has come again where we're looking for a new member. Since this is the same group that Simbert advertised earlier on this page, most of what we're looking for in a player will sound the same, so I'll just copy&paste and modify as I see fit for posterity. ^_^

However, currently our crunch-guy(that's me) has taken over running a Corporation campaign. You'd be playing as a more or less James Bond-esque super agent on a futuristic Earth mostly taken over by mostly evil (hint: all the other ones) or absolutely fabulous megacorps doing exhilarating and very agenty things such as rescuing hostages, infiltration space stations and breaking into your own corps banks to steal your own corps secrets and hide them from the evil Earth government.
There are no knowledge- or experience- requirements, you should just be interested in playing and have time on sundays. It would also be good if you were a nice guy or gal.
