No Poongko Seth either?
and Floe is playing Daigo instead of Happy Medicine now. Ohhhh boy.
On another note, I'm hoping that either Dieminion, Jwong or Ricky, or Infiltration take the tourney.
I'd much rather see Momochi win than Infiltration. Other than Justin he's the player I'd most like to see do well - assuming he plays Cody. If he doesn't then I don't care when he gets knocked out. My preference here is gonna be Justin -> non-top-tier-character players -> everyone else.
wtf @ that announcement lmao. He said that was "first". As in, but first let us show you this trailer. I figured it was some pre-hype. But that was it. LOL. A fan game, for free. It looks legit but I don't see why they latched on. Lmao my mind is so full of fuck I just don't know what to do
Im pretty sure the only players that even made it to an SBO that doesn't play Chun, the twins, and Ken are Kuroda and Hayao. Maybe i forgot a dudley somewhere but that's about it lol.

Infiltration is at his best against opponents that he has a lot of information on. It's a 4-6 matchup for Fei Long too.

From my perspective is not that exciting to watch, but OMG is it fun to play. Yeah, I think you would get addicted to the game if you think watching it is fun to begin with.
Also, I have been so nervous the entire tournament...I am so scared when I see Fuudo, Ricky, or Daigo losing and feel traumatized when either of them get eliminated...

There are only American players left in the only game that matters.
not to take anything away from those guys, but hd remix isn't really legitimate :/
Not to mention that the only Japanese player there, Tokido, is a bit of a fraud at ST imo Leans on the most fraudulent character a bit too much.
I think if the Japanese players who still regularly play ST travel they'd win it easily, though maybe that's a Youtube monster perspective. I can't imagine getting really good at the game just from GGPO, though; does a significant offline scene for ST even exist in the west?

Name one game Tokido doesn't tier whore in lol.
3D fighters (Tekken/SC5/etc.)? I literally have no idea what tier lists of those games are, just wondering if he's using cheap/easily abusable characters in those games too lol.

Is Balrog that good in Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix?

Tokido was famous for tier whoring, especially in Soul Calibur. Viola's most OP combos are called "tokido combos" for a reason.
Watching capcom updating these old games and putting them into competition really makes me wonder why Blizz don't release BW on the new bnet and keep it alive in WCS.

People are more willing to switch between what fighters they play then they would switch between RTS's. So re-releasing ssf2 won't hurt SSF4's sales, but I don't think you could say the same about BW.

I'm really not convinced that it'll hurt SC2 sales.
Major fighting tournaments generally don't have ssf2 and 3rd strike. This is just for Capcom's own tournament.
Infiltration just sucked the excitement out of the room. LOL I don't think the people have been THAT excited for some interesting Ryu tech. Crowd is silent when Infiltration gets his 1st place check.

That's because the amount of money ppl just lost side betting in that venue hall is just about the amount on infiltration's paycheck.
Why would you bet against Infiltration!? That guy is a friggin machine. I remember seeing/playing against him at Isu's arcade in Seoul back during Vanilla SFIV. He would anal rape you in the game and then the next person would come and waste their money. Eventually he just walked away from the machine and left you feeling naked.
Its so weird, South Korea isn't very great, except for video games. Its like we make a game, or Japan makes a game, then some random guy from SK decides to dominate it and just does it. Insane.
It looked like Daigo threw it on purpose but I have no idea.

People would bet against infiltration if someone like, say, Daigo, whooped his ass the first set.
...Oh it did happen.
Inb4 Risen comes in here posting about how salty he was losing money betting on Infil the first set and then losing money betting on Daigo in the runback.
Does anyone know of a place that lists out career earnings for these players? I thought finding Daigo's lifetime tournament winnings would be easy, but had no luck.
$20k for the car and $50k for the prize pool, probably the biggest daily haul for any gamer outside of stuff like The Invitational and that CoD promotion.
Edit: Nevermind, just remembered early GSLs paid a little more. Still impressive.

Depends on whether you count Painkiller. That game had ridiculously large prize pools.

I'm pretty sure on a good year Nal_ra makes more than Infiltration ever made playing street fighter.
