I know you're gladly eating your words though probably =P
edit: bulls acting like this is over already wth
@andrewlt below: Ya, I agree, no flagrant no matter what. Dumb call imo.

That wasn't a flagrant. Dunno wtf James was thinking when he did it, though. Was he upset by the non-flagrant at the other end? That wasn't a flagrant either.
Hinrich finally passed after getting inside. I guess he was tired of being blocked. I think he's been blocked at least 3 times in the past few minutes.

Well, no. I'm pretty sure everyone in United Center believe it's still possible. When they think this game is over they'll start cheering nonstop.
Edit: As I say that.

That's probably game. Nice rebound from Boozer to make up for the dumb outlet pass he did a minute ago. Bad TO by the Heat on the other end.
|
|
I can actually look at sports channels without seeing the Heat being brought up every other minute now!
|
It's amazing to think that when the streak started the heat were 29-14. If they weren't so awful early in the season they could've had one of the best records in NBA history.
|
Just didn't understand the officiating this game. If you're going to call a flagrant on what Lebron did to Boozer how on earth do you not call a flagrant when Gibson smacks him in the face in the first quarter. Heinrick mugging Bosh by holding his wrists and pulling him down with the ball. Battier blocking out Boozer and barely touching him and getting called for the foul. Either way the game is what it is and they played a full 48 minutes against the Heat. Was worried about it for awhile and here it is. GG Chicago
At least now the Heat can rest up going into the playoffs. Only positive thing about the streak ending.
|
lol the bulls better enjoy this while it lasts, thisll be the only time theyll get to experience an nba finals like atmosphere for a long time
at least the heat will be able to concentrate on what matters the most, another championship...
|
Woah. I'm glad Miami lost. It's not good to go into the playoffs feeling invincible.
|
Well that's that. Back to Lakers 24/7.

The streak was the only interesting thing at this point of the season. Unless you count predicting who's gonna be a first round exit in the west.

well when you think about it, what is more important?
breaking a streak that has been held for over 40 years and probably a very very long time or winning a championship that comes once every year that they will probably win anyway?

I think championships seeing as thats why lebron and bosh came to play in miami in the first place. They will already make history by winning championships and who knows maybe they will get another chance at longest streak in their next seasons.

Well, if they win the streak I think they have to win the championship for it to hold validity. If you don't, then everyone just thinks you got lucky with a good team, but not one of the greatest teams. I mean, I remember when houston was on that 22 win streak and by the end of the year nobody cared about them.
With that said, this was obviously going to be much harder for this heat team to reach 33 wins than the 71 lakers. 71 lakers were dominant and won a lot of games without trying except maybe the next 3 or so top teams.
