Notice Some people have suggested the idea of a foreman who would tally the votes for a team and post the team's decision in the thread. Here's my counter-proposal: 1) Every active player gets a vote. However, you can be as fancy as you like with your vote, as long as the vote itself is unambiguous. Thus, if you wanted, you could say, "I vote for 1. e4, unless it's trailing by over 5 votes with half an hour to go, in which case I switch my vote to 1. d4." I'm kind of hoping that people won't go hog-wild with conditionals, but if you want to, you can. 2) Thus, if a majority of the team wants to go with a foreman, it can do so, simply by electing one. Post in this thread, "My vote in this, and all future votes are the same as X's vote." If a majority of the team has delegated their vote to X, then X will ipso facto be the team's foreman. 3) Only caveat is that you have to stay active—i.e. post in this thread every 3 moves, just to show that you're still a part of the game. If you go inactive, your votes will no longer be counted (of course you can go active again simply by making another post). Remember, you don't need to get fancy; nothing wrong with just posting your vote in this thread as usual. This is just an option. Hope it works for everybody. | ||
