I played Chrono trigger ALOT and I think its one of teh gr34t35t game ever made. I have never played chrono cross though and I would like to know if its any good?!?! | ||

It really only comes together if you're a huge fan of chrono trigger (READ: played through it 10 times, got every ending, know all the intimate details of the plot and every character, you know, typical shit for a chrono trigger fan) because crono cross ties up so many loose plot threads. At first it'll seem to have absolutely no relation to chrono trigger then bam! If you enjoyed chrono trigger you owe it to yourself to get a more complete view of the "chrono trigger" world. The thing about crono cross that throws people off is that there's 45 playable characters. You can go from start to finish with 45 different perspectives on every event in the game. There's a gaggle of sub plots and threads that all tie together in strange ways. If it's your first time through the game I recommend using the "main characters" who have a much more developed relationship with the plot to get the most out of the game. You can really tell who the chrono trigger fans are after they beat the final boss in cross. If you leave confused and disapointed you probably didn't understand trigger. | ||

story was in bits and pieces, not very well transitioned, not very well explained. of course we the gamer could comprehend it perfectly, and i guess they did make the movie for the gamers, but the flaws are still there. seemed like a lot of mini-climaxes as opposed to build up and release - i for one was more excited about the bahamut scene as opposed to sephiroth =[ but that was offtopic. best ps1 rpg is ff7. | ||

Super Metroid is an RPG now!? :O  heh I won't be an ass... Just getting on your case cause Super Metroid is one of my favorite games... However it IS NOT an RPG... Not even close...Aside from that I beat it yesterday in 1 sitting, 2 hours 20 minutes with 61% items I figured i'd share that tid bit so I get flamed for posting my D- level speed run >< (hey this was my first time playing it in few years) 'Check this link if your into this kinda thing' BTW the above link is only a "decent" speedrun. http://speeddemosarchive.com/SuperMetroid.html has better ones with less mistakes... Wow I'm really putting the nerd in well... Nerd. Back on topic I really liked FF7 and FF8... I've noticed a lot of people suck FF7's weiner while just not liking FF8 based on 'the characters' and 'the junction system' ...Well w/e I liked them both about the same. | ||

Grandstream saga for ps1 was always one of my fav rpg's, most critics hated it though, should check it out of you havent. | ||
