On dust2 ? I'll asked since we tried this on our server. I was standing T spawn and they were firing through the door and i was like : "Up. Left. OUCH but not dead. UP. Yeah i'm dead".

Tried this until they could kill me 10time in a row. Then switch spot on T spawn (basicly middle, left near the lamp and right). I don't remember but they were couting the planks of the door

Something like : "if he's middle you go 4 plank from left when standing at this spot etc..." I don't remmeber the number though but you get the idea and you can do that to test on a server with someone.

The new wallbangs are just total BS. Some crates are made of paper and people take nearly 100% damage through them, some others are armored and stop bullets, some walls can be banged super effectively (lol @D2 spots), and some can't (one side of the sniper's nest on mirage is totally impenetrable, the other can be shot through)... And the one hit awp kill through D2 double doors is just retarded as fuck. Hope they'll change it back to something more reasonable, I don't really see the logic behind those changes.

I just got my first ace about an hour ago which was really cool. I was CT at B on Dust2 with a scout and Usp-S, the T slow pushed long A, the other guy that was with me at B rushed over to A through CT and was killed, so it was 1v5 with 2 of them lit for about 40. I was going through cat to flank. I headshotted one of them on site, and hit a second guy twice and killed him, turned around with the USP because I heard someone coming from behind and got that guy which barely saved me from a molotov someone on site threw, and then I dropped down and went through CT and killed the last two with the scout, and defused with a fraction of a second left. They all had awps and autos so I was surprised I even got two of them. Even though I know Silver 4 is really bad, that was probably one of the best moments I've had so far and felt pretty awesome. xD

I'll probably be playing for the next couple of hours if anyone wants to join.

The main problem I have with the wallbangs is that they are incredibly inconsistent. Some wooden crates are made out of pure wood, other wooden crates are made out of air. Same with some of the metal boxes. The carboard boxes on Dust 2 are are tougher than the wooden boxes. Those barrels filled with adamantium are stil inpenetrable.

As T on Dust2 when coming from long room, there's a corner behind the blue box on top of the crate thing for CTs to hide in. You can now do a AWP wall headshot through the blue box while hidden from the CTs at long.

I'm surprised that the one hit kills with the AWP through wood doors in Dust2 lasted more than a day... if it's the norm now, the dynamics of Dust2, the iconic CS map, have changed quite a bit. I don't like that at all -_-

As a shitty nova master, i can kill someone 4 out of 5 times at the start of a round now you can 1 shot through door. More if they pass over a second apart.

Its pretty fuqqin borked. I cant even imagine how bad it must be at higher ranks with decent players.

Having to smoke/flash just to get out of your spawn and onto a site safely without dying is pretty ridiculous, although ive always thought being able to snipe directly from spawn was pretty silly, im honestly not sure how the map works so well, probably because it wasn't a 1 hit kill through doors =p

You most definitely couldn't 1shot people through doors in CS 1.6. At this point against good players, it's nearly impossible to cross mid without smokes if they have an awp. You used to be able to take a gamble and have 2 smokes for B which is actually a pretty huge deal as far as I'm concerned. Now you don't really get that. It's very relevant. Awp shots through DDs are incredibly frequent.

Yup, this. You could never one hit kill someone with wallbangs as far as I know except AWP headshots in 1.6, and the change on d2 is a big deal. If you don't smoke you basically lose one player for free per round. It's just stupid to be honest. Then the "new more straightforward" wallbang system is actually a giant clusterfuck (some walls are paper and some others with same material are impenetrable, I.E one side of CPL on mirage is 100% impervious to bullets while the other side is basically a wooden crate..). I'd prefer them to put a fixed rate per material (wood-concrete-sheet metal) and then just a multiplier for the damage reduction depending on the distance travelled..

wallbanging is currently kinda shit but the fact that they're tweaking it at all is an amazing thing.

i love the fact that rifles do more 1.6-like damage while wlalbanging, but obviously they need to lower AWP's penetration power and fix various wallbangs over the commonly played maps.


i give it 2-3 more patches and it will be 100x better than the old system.

Are people not smoking while crossing mid? You can also walk close to the door and then strafe across it with a knife while peeking....

Personally I have not yet been hit once crossing to B from CT.

Also you don't need AWP. You can OS with a scout. Pretty BS when you lost first round as CT and a guy in T buys scout and you have to buy a smoke just to cross from a to b. Playing at AK level ish for a GN3-4 player is a nightware. I always go A now as CT.

Hidding in the stairs in short with a shotgun. (well i already did that but when i hear : hey, you go to B, i'm like : "NO WAY ! I'M DOING SHOTFUN IN SHORT !)

Knife, jumping, tried circle jump, tried running. 4 of 5 rounds the guy in T gets a kill. Well... when you get T after you get 4v5 too but... when i die each round 5seconds after leaving spawn... it's annoying.
