I was asking myself the same thing. I don't understand why they added new shitty maps instead of adding the ones that have "proven" to be competitive worthy. Last operation, we could vote for the maps, I wonder why they didn't do the same thing again with a bigger map pool to choose from and with less crappy maps. I have nothing against having new maps but when they introduce maps like Castle, I kinda feel robbed considering we could have maps like tuscan, crown and season to take its place.
I didn't play all of the maps yet but so far, Castle is utter crap, Black Gold looks and plays like a CoD map and finally Overgrown looks like a somewhat decent map but I need to play it more, it's better than Castle or Black Gold for sure. Next, I need to try Mist, hoping it won't be as bad as Castle or Black Gold. I won't talk about the hostages maps since I don't care for them.
Other than that, I like the deagle buff, the CZ nerf and I think the tec9 buff is over the top. Not sure I like the wallbang changes but we'll see. We finally have cache on the rotation and that makes me very happy. I also like that they added stats to weapons in the buy menu, I didn't like searching the internet for finding those stats. I also saw this in the patch note : "- Competitive matchmaking will no longer consider matches with a very high skill group difference regardless of search time." I wonder if it will really have an impact on MM. I hope searching time won't be drastically increased because of it, which I really doubt since I've yet to play with a "very high skill group difference", it's usually just one player that is ranked higher than the others.
Overall, I like the new patch but I'm disappointed in the new maps.

Dunno I was never a cz user really so I just changed back to P250 regardless.
Different topic: I'd be super interested to have access to valve's data on round wins and stuff. I bet T's round 2 winrate after losing pistol round goes up an absurd amount as of this patch. Or at least, I bet CT's falls off due to CZ nerf and T's shouldn't fall off at all if people are buying tec-9s

Seems like it only fucks global elite people if they want to play on a peculiar map (I.E. a guy linked a screenshot of a 70mn queue/estimed time cause he wanted to win a game on Overpass). The CZ change prevents you from 2 shotting people from one end of long A to another, which was stupidly broken. It's still really good in close quarters.

Funny you guys hate Castle so much. I really think it's one of the better maps this operation. At least somewhat playable. Overgrown too. The rest is way worse than even the worst Phoenix maps.

Well I've only tried Mist, Rush, Black Gold and Insertion.
Insertion sucked but the concept seemed fun to mess around with. Black gold was as mentioned really terrible. Mist seemed like it could be competitive if you gave it a chance, plus it looked like it might actually favour some diversity in weapon selection. Rush was hella fun imo but I'm not sold on its competitiveness or replay value (then again, thats all hostage maps).

Here are my first impressions of de_castle, one of the new maps in Operation Breakout:
To the people that think this map is good: How are you dealing with the insanely low contrast and super darkness of it? How do you navigate the tons of generic cave tunnels? How do you tell them apart? Have you noticed how many spots for glitching up the walls and under the ceiling there are in the caves? Last but not least, how do you deal with the insanely long distance between both bombsites?

I dunno, it seems more accurate to me but I haven't used to that much. Also, god damn the Tec9 is broken as shit...jesus christ. How did this get past testing?
Also dunno how I feel about doors being useless now. I think it's too easy to get kills now just spamming the doors randomly. Seems kinda dumb T_T Maybe for the awp it's good but I'm not really liking it for everything else right now.

yes the deagles a lot better, i could instantly feel the difference after DMing with it for a few minutes.
a part of me is actually sorta sad that it's closer to viable now, because i was getting so good with it pre-patch 
CZ feels almost unchanged, close-quarters it will still be the same gun. tec9 is obviously retarded, i'm hoping valve comes out with a hotfix tonight or tomorrow at latest. wallbanging changes are good because it shows that valve is actually attempting to change it, but the current version is awful, AWP bodyshot through dust2 doors does 100+ damage now.

CZ nerf I don't really notice, though I probably missed more kills, I woulda gotten if it was pre-nerf from mid range. Tec9 is stupid. It is actually retarded. Almost as bad as that AUG shit that went on.
Only played 2 of the new maps...Overgrown and the hostage one in the farm/hill area with the fog. That hostage map is retarded. I like Overgrown, gives me mirage feels.

Just got my first Operation Breakout weapon case, They are going for almost $4 right now so I got $3.40 for it. Holy shit, not bad, wonder how long they will stay selling at this price lol.

Beacuse the cave walls are very clean the models can be seen pretty decent imho. T spawn to B with all that dark forest grass whatever stuff is worse i think. The level of glitching is indeed disturbing. Seems almost like nobody tested the map for more than 2 minutes. Oo A part from that Castle is just an incredibly T sided map. Actually the best way to play as CT is to get to T spawn asap and retake the bombsite as if you were the T's.

Cache has to be the most fun map to AWP on, i enjoyed myself so much. Played about 12 rounds CT just awping, dat 1 shot 2 kill on A door.
