Here's the test with the FAMAS. Same result. The artificial "no shooting allowed" period (after the quickswitch is done but before you can shoot) is quite noticeable with it though as it's pretty long compared to the AK-47.

Yeah that period is actually the reason you shouldn't quick switch, it can really throw you off

Is Dreamhack Summer going to be a good tournament for CS:GO? Don't watch a lot of it normally but since I'll be at the venue I thought it worth asking if it is worth checking out.

It's not a huge $250K prizepool like that last one but all the top teams are going to be there so it will still be the highest level of competition. It's def worth checking out, the last big CS tournament (IEM Katowice) was hype as shit) + Show Spoiler +

Not 'all' of the top teams. LDLC and Dignitas won't make it, and no American teams will be there. Playoffs should still be a good watch though.

Yesterday i played a few matches. I was totally off, messed up 60% of all my nades. I bought a lot of nades

"nice flash, striker!!!", "idiot...", "fuck you..." etc. I'm kinda sorry for my mates i played with, but on some days things don't work out.

MM put me in games with lots of gold nova guys and even one ak guy. I hope that's a good sign. The higher the rank, the better the comminication i have to say. On the other hand, the later it gets, people get less talk active

In one match people started to talk about betting on cs pro team from the get go... felt kinda strange, cause i don't have a clue.

btw. how much do they charge for the operation packs? The maps get boring... dustIIdustIIdustII

Just remove dust from the search settings, games on mirage/nuke/inferno don't take much longer to find. I even get train from time to time, even though I kind of don't like it it was one of my favorite 1.6 maps so I kept it checked >.<

What's everybody's opinion of overpass btw? I haven't managed to play one competitive game on it so far but just from customs, casuals and watching streams of other people playing it, I kinda like it. I can't say much (read: anything) about balance, it's just so well designed aesthetically in my opinion, love the setting, the detail. Might be biased as a German haha.

Also it has DAS KANINCHEN!

My main issue is with the underground paths. They feel way too cramped and the setting changes from the sewer area to the park is offsetting to me.

I'm having an issue where I can't view demos that I recorded in offline mode at all because the fps when viewing goes down to 1-ish or less. It's not my computer, I can record videos with FRAPS fine etc. I've tried the regular client demo recording (with record demoname.dem, stop and then playdemo demoname.dem) and I've tried serverside demoes as well (with tv_record/tv_stop), no difference. I tried starting to record the demo in the warmup/freezetime because someone suggested that and it didn't help.

What happens is: as soon as I'm loading into the demo, my FPS go down so much that I can barely do anything anymore. Using the console is hard, but if I bring up the demoui and pause the demo the FPS go right up to the usual values, only when I hit play again it immediately drops down to sub-1 fps again.

I found out that a lot of people seem to have this issue, any insight?
