Steam account is "No swear", I play a couple games almost every night, add me and we'll play sometime. If you're up for some 1.6 1v1 fy_buzzkill, that's also cool .

Shox's reactions are literally unbelievable.

you cannot watch his plays and not have a smile on your face. it's freaking magic.

That headshot on Neo in the 1v1 was utterly mind boggling. There was a comment somewhere along the lines of "Aimbot would slow him down" sounds about right.

Wooohooo finally got MG1 .

You put too much faith in me. I can't pre-aim when i play against people that OS me with a pistol through a door because i wasn't walking :p Only way for me to get MG1 is to add a Rocket launcher and bunny hop to the game :p

Q3 ftw :D
Nah, you easily can do all that as well. It is like in any other game, on some time during your progress, you have that moment where suddenly you "get it", how thinks work and how you have to aim and shoot. You can get this satisfaction in CS:GO as well For me, the first moment I had was to learn that pistols are not crap in this game.

Best satisfaction in CS:GO are definitely the clutches. Nth beats the feeling when u win the important round (even if its MM :D). Its just feels like pure epicness. Ah i remember we were winnig 15-14 on mirage and last round they planted the bomb and i was 1vs2 :D and i ninja defused :D ( was at that moment maybe gold nova 2 or 3 not sure).

I'll add the both of you later this weekend, I hardly have any time >_>
Also heatEXTEND you've actually been to my house to play street fighter xD

I'm kinda depressed I'll have to learn how to actually clutch when I move out of Silver. Those 3v1 plays impossible retake scenarios are going to be so scarce.
Had a 3v1 retake on Inferno was coming through arch and motto one on the site, one in pit, other unknown. Got no nades just barrel down the center, I'm just at the site pit guy peeks and I hear shooting on the right. Guess I ducked instinctively to have the site box to the right of me cover me HS the guy in pit, now I'm getting shot in the back by a pistol (3rd guy) I turn around onto site kill the 2nd guy, pull out my pistol turn around and kill the 3rd guy and get off the fuse in the nick of time. #SilverThings

I think learning how to retake a site with proper crosshair placement, prefiring, good aim and nade usage would help get clutches..Also not exposing yourself to more than 1 person if you can help it.

Every time I pull out a nade I get peeked in those situations. Even if I burn like 5 seconds waiting for them to peek, and they don't, as soon as that gun goes away there's a head peeking and bullets flying

Compared with the Galil or Famas, it is less accurate, does less damage against both armoured and unarmoured opponents and it is more expensive. It doesn't kill any faster unless you somehow miss your first 10 shots and is worse for the mid and long range. It's got more bullets but you need more bullets to make a kill. Sure you get that one game where that guy with the P90 kills 3 guys, but the same happens with rifles all the time. The only advantage of the p90 seems only to be that it can move and shoot with more accuracy than the rifles like all smgs and that it ignores the most armour out of all the smgs. So basically it is only good for rushing. at lower ranks, having more bullets is usually the determining factor of a firefight I'm sure you are exaggerating. I'm sure that even new players can manage to kill someone with a rifle without having to reload. And judging by your description of what high ranks are, your view of what consititutes the mid ranks, the lower ranks would be somewhat higher than that.

Clutching isn't something you can practice or can be consistent at; the best you can do is to stack the odds better towards you by being suprising, trying to get into situations where you can quickly shoot one alone, kill him and quickly move on to the next. The most important thing about 1v3 is to move away as soon as you kill one if there isn't already another one shooting at you. And directional sound! Funnily enough P90 is a good weapon for clutch situations since you have a high chance that you need to move and shoot. That's probably why it gets a lot of hate, now that I think about it, due to confirmation bias.

Knowing when and how to throw grenades is really important. Grenades are immensely useful if used correctly but detrimental if used improperly. I think if you are using them at low ranks, it is probably detrimental to your performance. You'll play a lot better if you just keep your gun out and focus on aiming and shooting. However, you need to learn how to throw them sometime, so you probably need to get shot in the face while holding a grenade for that lesson to sink in. I would recommend Adren's videos on youtube but those grenade throws are more advanced techniques than basic principles.
Basic principles:
- Don't bother with HE grenades. You're probably using them as a crutch and more often than not you'll just die because you're holding one instead of your gun. Even if you have the timing and positioning right, the HE landing spot needs to be precise because they are unforgiving. The damage gets significantly reduced by boxes and other things that might be partially in the way.
- Don't throw a smoke grenade into a choke point and then run through it. You're most likely just putting yourself at a disadvantage because they will hear you and see you before you see them. Conversely, throw smoke grenades into choke points that you're trying to hold. Example: If CT on dust2 at B, smoke right at the exit of the tunnel. That is to say, so the smoke doesn't come out of the tunnel. That way you'll see them and they won't see you until they come out of the smoke, giving you a faster reaction time.
- If you're going into an area where the enemy could be watching from lots of different places, throw a smoke grenade somewhere you're not headed to block vision from that area. Example: If trying to take B as a T on dust2, can throw the smoke farther out of the tunnel so that it blocks vision from platform but doesn't block your view of the exit.
- Don't throw flashbangs. You just blind me.

Also, don't throw HEs at your teammate............ =)

I got banned because i killed one my teammates with a HE. I was killed and it fell to the ground and exploded (i was about to throw it and was maintaining click). I was quite mad because that wasn't my fault
Of course i had shot and killed teammates before (hence the ban) but that's when you don't have info, are low skilled and the guys are like : "YOU WATCH SHORT. IF IT MOVES ! FIRE !".
Then your friend comes into short and you're like : "Wow did you see my reaction time ? I headshot the guy !". and you get : "Watch your radar dumbass, that was me". (then you take an arrow to the knee... kill by someone that comes in long)
Of course talking Dust2 since it's the only map i'm allowed to play with friends

Lol, I'm just teasing Slardar because when he played with me and my friends (we were just playing and having fun, not super serious) tossed an HE to go past me but it blew up perfectly on me.. lol it was a nice nade minus the fact it TK'd..

Sage advice right here. I'm definitely in the camp of not buying HE's over Smoke/Flashes or just usually never anymore that is. Don't play virtual Frisbee with my HE.....art.
