I'm curios if anyone has suggestions or knows how to check DPI for this mouse. make the plunge to 400dpi or 450dpi and never look back. that's the advice i would give to ANY new cs player wondering about mouse settings. I tried it man, lowered it to about 700 (I was on 2070 before) and I couldn't do it. The sensitivity was just so low, I couldn't turn around or anything. Just couldn't handle it. you dont turn around in cs. if an enemy pops behind you, you die thats it. thats why sound and minimap are important. I play sc at 1800 dpi and cs at 450. much easier to score headshots when your crosshair isnt all over the place.
There is no reason to play with that low sensitivity. Even with low sensitivity you should be able to turn 180 comfortably. Very low sensitivity gives you some advantages to shoot in long range but it will harm your gameplay a lot. It limits your movement and the ability to check corners which is far more important.
Almost none of the pro players uses lower sensitivity than 45cm(18 inch) / 360°. Get_right uses 23cm/360° and average is 30-35cm/360°.
Edit: Some players use lower sensitivity but they are mainly awp's. I believe Delpan uses something like 100cm/360.

Low DPI + Sensitivity + Big mouse pad = win I mean its not about who does the quickest 180. you dont base your settings on that. If I was talking about getting the quickest 180 I'd have said "678213423784 DPI and 2347695823645789234675 sensitivity"

Astana Dragons have really been looking like poo as of late. :|
I'd prolly even take Na`vi over them atm.

Or you know - you play with a sensitivity and DPI which you feel comfortable with.
Take a random point in a map (at different ranges). Strafe around that point (half circle) and keep your crosshair on it. Problems? Adjust your settings. No problems? You're fine.

I can make a pretty decent 360 with my settings. I have no idea what the dpi or mouse settings are but they're set at a comfortable range for me.
edit: It takes SOOOO LONG to rank up. I was gold nova 2, then I quit playing for several months. Just picked it up again a few weeks ago and I ranked down so quickly

been active in cs for a long time, i've found that 800 dpi and 1.5-2 sens is pretty average and decent for 1920x1080, although i know a few with 400 dpi and 1.0. depends completely on your resolution

Winner faces NiP in the finals right after!

Not right now he isn't. Him and carn keep randomly blabbering on and on about irrelevant stuff and before you know it the round's over.
fnatic vs. NiP live soon.

yeah this duo is rather bad

they're pretty knowledgeable though. seems like they tend to have good focus on the round up till number 7 or so, then their minds wander off a bit lol

friberg so good on Inferno. My idol.

Mmm that smoke change is interesting. Thinking about comp play, would that perhaps make maps like inferno/train/nuke more even by taking away some of smoke defenders advantage? (more so inferno because it is the smoke map, where train and nuke is a variety of things) any thoughts? Also I think it would help T to use smoke more offensively in general, because now vision blocking a defending CT is enough, not smoking directly on them and forcing a move. Just would make it more reliable I'm......
Thoughts?
Also, with regards to skins, what does the factory new, field tested ect mean? Is that just the clarity of the skin basically? And does it change over time?

My mom thinks the smoke change is interesting as well.

So wtf I would sometimes get the error "a match was found for you but you failed to accept" and then I would do it again and be able to play.
All of a sudden today it just refuses to let me play. I googled (somehow valve has let this issue go on since day 1) and tried the ping fix, restarting router and nothing still gives me the error. Anybody else have this and if so how did you get it fixed?
