There's also proper crosshair placement which in many situations gets you kills by people walking right into your crosshairs and you having the ability to react and put enough rounds into their face. Edit: Sn0, watch this.

I've been doing some reading, and it seems to be we ll known at servers are an issue (especially the 64 tic comp). Just wondering if anyone else here experienced that?

I've adjusted rate settings, and I thought it may have just been my aim suction (which attributes to part of it) but it seems sometimes that shots that should hit don't (most obvious one for me was 2 consecutive op shots on someone standing still in crosshairs, neither shot hit). Or other times when shooting someone, I die which is fine but then console tells me I didn't hit them one (from me Lee range basically, and I can hear /see gun firing) I've been doing some reading, and it seems to be we ll known at servers are an issue (especially the 64 tic comp). Just wondering if anyone else here experienced that? If your rates are fine then its not on your end. Valve MM servers are generally garbage.

Edit: unless your windows mouse settings are low. Make sure to keep that on 6/11 and turn off enhanced precision for no mouse acceleration.

Everything I've been looking up on the internet seems like it has relatively low sensitivity from what I use and I'm considering trying something else. I have the in-game at 7.1 and my mouse (steelseries sensai raw) only displays CPI not DPI and its in the 2000s. I'm curios if anyone has suggestions or knows how to check DPI for this mouse. make the plunge to 400dpi or 450dpi and never look back. that's the advice i would give to ANY new cs player wondering about mouse settings.

The first long period of me playing CSGO MM I litteraly had to check in the corner if someone I hit, even with the AWP did acutally die. Coming from CS 1.6 I always knew if they died or not even when making very fast peek prefire shots with e.g. AWP. I've gotten more used to it now and mostly know if they died or not. Another thing I feel like give this sense of "shooting air" is that there is a vey slight delay in registrering the hits. So you shoot at someone and think he died or got hit, then nothing happens and you subconciensly start shooting again, but in between that tiny timeframe he then dies.
