Fair enough. Do you have any recommendations for a decently strong, cheap, newbie-friendly build thats updated for 1.2, then? I was hoping for a spellcaster, but it seems like most of the more fun builds are pretty expensive :/ | ||

Not considering flameblast, dd, SRS. most likely freezepulse/ice spear considering their insane buffs. i tried it on taiwan 1.2 and they are really good even for levelling. spark (yes lol) and lightning ball also has nice buffs | ||

Flame surge does very good damage afaik, the issue was the area of effect which was very small. It has been changed too. Ball lightning worked, not the best clear speed but some very safe builds with knockback support for exemple. And now damage has been buffed. Spell echo is now a must have for any spell user I believe... Dunno about stormcall, haven't seen that used in a while. Considering the huge buffs to cold spells and their CC mechanic, I can see them becoming the most played. | ||

Well it's patiently waiting in my removed-only tab atm so no worry  .Also Patch Note HYPEEE !!! That shockwave totem buff though. So far I haven't seen anything that is overly nerfed imo too.
