I might go for a vaal pact crit claw build with duelist, scion, shadow, or ranger. Depends how the tree looks. Not sure if I should dual claw or claw + shield. The nodes for shadow heading down into duelist for Vaal Pact or for duelist heading out towards Shadow for the crit favor a dual wield approach, so I dunno.

Also worth considering: Dual wielding gets you more leech from the claw inherents.
Though getting 1 claw with decent DPS seems hard enough without having to find a 2nd to dual wield tbh.

well with crit multi nerf the top range phys wands won't kill urself so much. i don't have le currency to fund 100ex of auxium+6l shavs for my wander though. not sure what to do with its gear.

Don't screw my dream guy I'm making an elemental crit shock wander for first char in Ambush. Anyhow Summoner is borderline broken because you can run every map mod and can stack infinite MF without losing any killing power.
|
Also the nerf to scion makes my build pretty rough. I try to start at Templar and Ranger/Shadow , and the Templar version has significantly less attack speed/dps and the Ranger/Shadow version has significantly less mana and mana regen. Also both cannot take the aura node near the Aegis shield cluster for summoner. Let's hope the elemental node buff can make up for it.

lol 4 purities. Who needs resists on gear XD. I guess that makes acquiring MF stats a lot easier.
when lag and I were originally theorycrafting our lowlife MF summoner ideas the only major problem we encountered was resists, where you are forced to use an aurumvorax with that sad sad -20 iir for the 60 AR. I'm not sure if 20 IIR is worth losing haste or vitality auras for mapping (leaning toward no), but for boss farming it certainly would be worth it.
also, first person to find a solaris lorica in Ambush sell to me and I'll love you forever

Twitch is really strict about showing weapons on stream. Hes not the first person I've seen get banned actually. I'd be really surprised if they unbanned him, He can also kiss ever being partnered goodbye.

There are changes to elsewhere in the tree that aren't in the notes yet. As I mentioned, they're incomplete. There's still hope for Shadow and Witch starting areas!

comment from the reddit thread "He apparently passed the background check of having enough money to buy one."

also, some streamers apparently have the passive tree and are streaming it (ZiggyD confirmed)

Chris also said he provided the new tree to someone who can update an offline calc, whatever that means exactly.

Update (March 4) - added the following notes:
Increased the damage of Fireball at low and high levels. Increased the damage of the following skills at low levels: Spark, Cold Snap, Ice Spear and to a lesser extent, Freezing Pulse and Storm Call. Monster Unrighteous Fire now deals a controlled value of fire damage, rather than being based on maximum life. Improvements have been made to early cast speed passives in the Witch and Shadow sections and to early attack speed and life passives in the Shadow section. We're investigating more detailed revamps of the caster classes (Witch, Templar and Shadow) in the future. Adjusted the PVP scaling of Righteous Fire and Searing Bond. These have only been conservatively adjusted. A more thorough adjustment to PVP scaling of skills will be ongoing throughout 1.1.x.

Looks pretty good so far. Seems like shadow is finally superior to scion as a start for trapper (but we will see, have to theorycraft...).

Not concerned about BMs being nerfed, i was already thinking about just doing 2x throwers from lunaris, did a fair bit of testing with them. They do quite a bit of dps with the new offensive dmg spell buff. It kind of makes the SB build the best MF build now, is the only real difference I expect to see.
Also, now that I don't have to stack minion life passives to make Bms good, i wonder how their damage will look with the dmg passives and snapshotting, I will probably give it a test on my hardcore league summoner before commiting fully to not using them.

ruh roh BMs got burned.. unfortunately thanks to the vague patch text we won't know how badly until tomorrow.

I fully expect a dmg summoner to run 1 bm 1 thrower 1 bubble boy still, You will just see some crap like spectre/trap/remote mine/conc effect/increased minion damage/increased burning damage.
Also looking at the alpha tree, the evasion wheel by scion now alot less points to get through, that's very nice to see
