I have about 7 characters that I actually play somewhat (Main three are 90, 89, and 80)( or used to play.) from various leagues that started/ended, about 4 pvp characters, 10 random level 20-45 characters with free respecs, and then 3 open slots for racing.

seems like i might be able to play a bit of the new league. not that much tho so the rings are on the softcore league rather than hardcore.

More highlights:

A new item type has been added to the challenge leagues: Unset Ring. It's a ring with a socket as its implicit property.

Added a new armour base type which only drops from Queen Atziri: Sacrificial Garb.

Waypoints now have effects that indicate whether they are activated or not.

Shrines can now spawn in all leagues. The Thorned shrine no longer spawns.

All rare monsters have a chance to spawn with a Nemesis mod, in all leagues. The Camouflaged Predator Nemesis mod no longer spawns. The Blessing of Elements Nemesis mod now does considerably more damage. The Shroud Walker Nemesis mod now gives the monster a smoke effect with a larger radius. The Storm Herald Nemesis mod will not appear until level 60.

The way leech applies to the player has changed. If you leech additional life while currently leeching, it no longer queues after the current leech. Technically, where multiple leeches are stacked, the largest one is used.

The Vaal Oversoul's Smash is now fully considered an attack. It can now be evaded or blocked, but cannot be spell blocked.

Spell Totem and Ranged Attack totem now have multiplicative cast and attack speed penalties.

Vaal Pact no longer suppresses life recovery from flasks. It still prevents life regeneration and now also reduces your leech by 60%.

Interesting:

End-game maps do not contain secret corrupted areas.

Invasion + so players will run into unexpected and dangerous invading monsters from other levels or acts + All rare monsters have a chance to spawn with a Nemesis mod, in all leagues. = OMG

I just traded my old soul taker + a void battery for 3x Aegis Aurora, 20% wed, 19% wed, and 16% wed rolls.
The only unique thats going to be nerfed that I still want is a Maligaro's, I dont own one and I need one for LLD. T_T

Some of us just got a whole lot richer in standard, but I don't really go there do doesnt really matter . Have all the legacy for this version, 1 each except Romira and Saffel's.
A few things stood out for me.
-Why they nerf leech ? That means if you leech higher than the leech cap, that would be wasted as if you stop attacking, the leech regen stops immediately if I'm not mistaken. The wording is not clear there.
-HoHo Elemental Adaptation move to top left -> hell yeah
-I dont see a reason to use Maligaro over of Facebreaker now for crit build.
-Why did they nerf Crit Multi boo . Hopes the increase crit dmg gem doesnt get affected.
-Also the mana nerf on Rainbowstride is so uncalled for. What boots I'm supposed to used for Cloak of Defiance/EB crit ele wander now =/ ?

1 more thing. God bless Vaal Pact. Can finally go physical crit build life base again whohoo.

I hit 90.

Ran 36x 75 maps, and 6x 74 maps in the last 26 hours. Dropped 11x 76 maps.

So they removed Thorned shrine, hehe. I wonder if that Hexing shrine (or what it was called)) is still there. Punishment is at least as bad as Thorned Shrine, even though you have to be unlucky to get it and attack at the same time.

I'll most certainly not play this month, but perhaps next month.

If I may.

The witch isn't Igenue, she's a psycho killer who freaked out whatever community she came from enough that they burned down her house. Then she "took their children" in her own words, and she got exiled to the magical island of necromancy and death for that. Smart rulers. There's no reason we can't have a male psycho wizard.

The templar is the hard one. He was exiled for questioning the doctrine of the religious order he came from. He refers to his "brothers" and it seems extremely unlikely such an order would admit women.

The ranger is a simple poacher, and her being female is the weird part. Traditionally in every Earth culture, hunting is done by men.

The duelist and shadow are warriors/assassins for hire and/or participants in gladitorial combat. Females in these roles seem odd as well.

The marauder's background is the most shallow one, it seems to me. Basically he's a "noble savage" and him and his tribe were being oppressed by white people, so he got mad and bashed skulls in, and got exiled for it. I think he's an image for some kinda New Zealandic colonial traumatic past or something.

So at the end of the day, the society of the world of Wraeclast is already oddly egalitarian by medieval Earth standards, so there's not much reason in not having both sexes as any class.

Do I think too much about stuff like this? Aren't I supposed to just click the monsters and pick up items? I just don't know anymore.

Haha.^^ Each their own. I usually care a lot about lore in RPG's but in PoE I don't care at all. I don't understand why people are asking for both genders for every class in this game but hey, wayne... If GGG doesn't cut more important stuff for it then I'm fine with it (and don't care).
As for hunting females: Amzones? Makes me realise that I want spears (both melee and throwing) in the game. Javazon had some really fun builds in D2 LoD.

I have to note that the Amazons were mostly a Greek myth, and no other records of them ever existed. They're about as real as minotaurs.

it's a buff to life vaal pact. leech nerfed by 60% is still not that bad. you can get a lot of leech from q bloodrage plus some on gear. with high enough dps it's a ton. ci vaal pact is retarded anyway so it getting nerfed is ok

I just realize reflect is gonna pwn me hard even with 10% leech if I don't have at least 50% phy dmg mitigation. Also Incinerate build are so fuck.
Unless your AOE has high enough dps to hit leech cap per target, you're not gonna hit leech cap. And leech would stop immediately when one stop attacking since they don't queue anymore.
Hm my crit builds need to be rethink =/

Only RF and Summoner is not affected by the leech change. Goddamn but I dont wanna make a summoner damn it =/.
Ok need to QQ less and patiently play until maps to find out whether builds work or not I guess.

Yeah, I think people cry too much. The official thread is pure horror because everyone cries about everything, lol.

I mean, it's perfectly fine if one doesn't like some of the changes (I do, too) but nothing got nerfed that much that it isn't playable anymore in any case with a bit of tweaking... I hope Aegis Aurora will drop in the price in general in the new leagues because then I will probably make a melee build with it, I think it's still good enough.

Incinerate builds are only partly fucked. Life gain on spell hit still works. Does Incinerate shot gun with LMP/GMP btw.? If yes, then it's even less of a problem.
