We were promised shadow changes basically because nobody played shadow in the most recent 4months. Judging by the marauder change picture that showed some of the scion life circle, there will be substantial modifications to the scion circles as well (the 3 circles, evasion/es/life). When you factor all that in, along with general complaint's I've seen about witch, I'd be surprised if there weren't at least minor tweaks all across the tree. The server-wide passive reset is another clue pointing that direction.

Theorycrafting using the current tree doesn't seem all that valuable atm I don't think. Unless you stay inside duelist and ranger which I haven't heard too much about them changing even though I think ranger is the worst part of the tree.

I was planning on doing shenanigans with a Templar this time around. I never did get to do my wander but I want to see the tree before I invest in an idea.

Hopefully Shadow still has dual wield passives and IAS lined up to Acrobatics still or it might break my LLD build.
And my new LLD build looks like it also might get wrecked by the Marauder changes, but I cant tell yet.

Not sure what I wanna do lol. All the builds I've been super early phase theorycrafting have started as marauder or scion.

I wouldn't mind doing another Bow Templar but it is such a pain to do. I absolutely do not want to do spectral throw outside of leveling. And I don't want to do a spell caster either except maybe Flameblast since I haven't done anything with it yet.. Maybe I'll make another trapper but then it wouldn't be too logical to do it as a Templar.

I'm really interested in all the corrupted gems and what builds could be done around those. That's probably what I'm most excited for. Well until I heard about the passive tree rebalancing.

They are specifically including a new unique quiver with a TON of dex designed to support non-dex character bow builds. Its in the Diamond Supporter newsletter that gets linked on reddit.

Yeah PoE has obnoxious region locks.

I know the SEA PoE localization is through Garena so you might have to obtain it that way. Definitely check out the official site for more info. Or google it.

Getting Dex isn't that hard, it's more of a problem that all the good bow or projectile nodes are on the opposite corner of the tree. Though I could just scale ele damage and life. I really just need to see the new tree to make a decision. I could just make a bow scion... but she wears pants.

Well, templar has reasonable access to either Iron Grip or a bunch of WED nodes (or both i suppose) so your dps shouldn't be unreasonably low. Also Static Blows.

Well, if the content in the link posted ealier turns out to be true then the inherent item quantity for maps doesn't influence map drops, which would be ridiculous.

Why would anyone even want to get this game on steam? Is it even possible to have mutiple accounts with the steam version or is it locked to your steam acc? Dunno, for games that have an alternative to steam I would always get them from this alternative source. In this case: Yes, you can just download it from the official side as well as making an account there.

You link your PoE to your steam account so you can only log into one account through steam yes. You can just as easily have multiple steam accounts though so ^_^

Steam kicks ass. Also relevant: being able to spend steam wallet on PoE stuff since I know a lot of people with excess $$$ stuck in steam from trading etc.

Its pretty hard to multi-account with steam though, you have to either have multiple steam accounts (doable but inconvenient) or use the normal client.

PoE starts much faster through steam vs the separate launcher. And with 24 character slots I don't need multiple accounts..

Fixed that for you.

No really, steam has it's bright sides but also has a lot of downsides. And since a lot of these downsides have something to do with everything locked to one account and not freely accessable game data, I prefer using non steam versions for games that aren't steam-only. I still use steam for games like CS 1.6 and I don't really have a problem with it to have single online games locked to one account.

24 char slots is really nice, yep. But it really depends on your play style whether that's enough or not.

Steams downsides with respect to PoE: It goes down sometimes. It takes longer to change accounts.
Steams upsides: Automatic updating, faster launching, steam friends communication including voice, steam wallet integration, etc. Steam friends integration is really fucking useful btw.

I mean, if you hate steam because ur biased against the program thats totally your prerogative but there really aren't reasons not to use steam. You can just buy character slots if you seriously have issues with the virtually infinite free ones they give you.

I don't hate the program, lol. I just don't love how a lot of people seem to. See, a lot of the upsides aren't upsides for me personally. I don't care about steam communication ingame. I don't care about the wallet thing either (and I don't like the wallet in general, but that's to big of a topic really). Automatic Updates? I have to start steam to update or the PoE launcher to update - where is the difference? Faster launching: True, and I don't now why the PoE launcher takes 2 minutes to start the game (because sometimes the game just starts within seconds...), it's really weird.
Steam is more of a problem if you hort a lot of games on your account, the loss if getting hacked is bigger. I lost two steam accounts due to hacks but I never got hacked in any other website/game _ever_. That's probably my biggest reason to spread games out.
