Damn, my start was really bad as i didnt find a proper 2h weapon until late. In fact i only found a sword and prefered heavy striking over using ground slam with a 1h. Was mad fun though. | ||

Tomorrow I'm gonna try to play one level behind at most I think. I was constantly three levels behind today and it was really annoying for using new gear and gems despite being the optimal exp rate early on. Not sure if I want to play duelist again or not though. | ||

Also that statue level took all my charges...only for me to desync briefly in front of three spitters in the next zone to die instantly. I was doing poorly anyway though. | ||

And yes, i think Added Lightning is worth it for Ice Nova. Especially if you have enough mana pots. Looking back i really felt noobish to not know whether the spawns from the Carrions give EXP. At first i avoided them, then i realized they're the best source for EXP in the first level, lolz. To be honest though, i feel like they could increase the droprate of good items a LOT. Perhaps it would be too imba for the already imba Duelists though, but i didn't feel the greatly improved droprate which they announced. Especially for orbs. | ||

Cleave doesn't really get better with items. You already one or two shot everything with cleave so ^_^ | ||

True true, to be fair i had some dropluck. Found a rare Longsword with +5-12 fire dmg and 50+% physical damage, that helped a lot (given i was lucky enough to have picked Leap Slam ). Then again, not having decent potions sucked. Oh well, can't have everything (at least not when you pick the quicksilvers lol).Anyway, they chose very challenging enemies for the zones. I wonder if you could get to level 12 or close to it and then just run through statues and frozen and then farm the monkey area. 80% exp at level 11 may be worthwhile as well if you think the statue and frozen zones are that bad ^_^ Then again I couldn't run through the frozen level if I wanted to; kept getting frozen and having to alt F4 so I didn't die yesterday. | ||

I think I'll play a Ranger again as well. Grab all damage passives and hope for movespeed boots. Might be the best shot at high ranks. Probably grab RoA, Hatred and Faster Projectiles. Or you could hope for a +1 bow gem weapon and aim for PA+Fork. There's enough currency for this, but white bows are pretty rare. :-/ | ||
