I wont be using 2 daggers but I will have maligaro's, a crit neck, 20% qualtity ele hit for 80% increased crit, and many more crit passives. I don't think the patch will do much to my build --- I've read the notes. This is the perfect time to theorycraft because I have a level 70 templar that doesn't do anything right now :D EDIT: Holy shit, I just realized that I can get acrobatics with this build. Sooooo good. Well my point was that getting to the crit cap is rather pointless. Found this though so your build certainly works, at least for farming docks ^_^

Interesting video. He tried to use the same skills as me, but in the worst way possible LOL. GMP sucks on ranged attacks because they can't shotgun, and there is no reason not to utilize crit when you can get 10.8 base crit chance on wands. I should be doing more damage than dual spark totem, and about a thousand times more than him. Still, it was cool to watch - wand animation looks so cool. I am excited.
EDIT: Also watching that vid I realize that I will have to bear trap enemies in PvP for them to not dodge the ele hit.

@Deltrus: What are your thoughts regarding EA, patch 11 and the new Onslaught league? I am afraid of reflect more then ever.

RIP my lvl 91 marauder. It died along with nico. Oh well it was time to quit anyways

I haven't had much problems. There are a few situations where you take a bit more damage, but you can play around that fairly easily. I am mostly using mine for farming while I save up money for my next char.
I tried out my build that I was talking about earlier. It was really fun. I had a 75% crit rate in merciless sarn and everything was evaporating very quickly. It was very similar to spark, but a bit better I think since it freezes. I went full retard, though, and walked into perpetus with some scary rare monsters in it and died. If everything chained properly, I had around 5k dps with a 4L and without curses, at level 67. Crit weakness made things explode. O well, easy come easy go.
Next time I will be back with GG gear. Already bought an ES shield with 550 ES and 79 life. ES is really needed if I want to go acrobatics and still want to support arctic armor.
EDIT: RIP Billyx333. Sucks that a fellow TL member had to die. Take a break for a while and maybe you will come back loving the game more than ever.

Anyone going to do the Anarchy league? Thoughts on best build to start off with considering no items/currency?
|
Starting with a groundslam/cleave mara to farm the quest reward gems (he has all the best ones) and to get some basic gear would prolly be the best

Made my EA marauder go acrobatics. Working well ! :D

Started onslaught died at 20 boo, oh well, ill start again tomorrow.

Hey, I was reading the description of Chaos Inoculation but still not sure what it does other than make your health go to 1 and makes your immune to Chaos damage. Seems like such a big trade off... Whats the real benefit of picking it up?

If you are getting tons of ES passives, your life pool is going to be minuscule. That means you will get killed by chaos damage since it goes through energy shield. The keystone behind CI is also very powerful. 20% MORE energy shield is different than increased. More = multiplies. So lets say you have 200% increased energy shield from passives. With 200% increased energy shield you would have 300% total ES. Then infused shields multiplies that by 1.2, giving 360% total ES.

Yeah; I just started my new character on Anarchy so was reading through a spork witch build.

Taking a short break from no lifing in Anarchy. Rogue exiles were overhyped; I was expecting them to be omfgsuperhard and drop amazing gear in every slot. They're pretty easy in normal, but they start to put up a good fight in cruel. The two I faced in cruel were a RoA+frenzy ranger and a leap slam+double strike duelist who dish out great damage. Still nothing the average player can't beat. I hope they get unrelenting in Merciless and maybe even maps.
Still, totally worth playing just for the ladder reset. Ladder resets alone will keep this game fresh for a long time.

How do crit chance modifiers work? Is it a %increase on the base crit chance of spell/attack?
|
On June 09 2013 12:14 wei2coolman wrote: How do crit chance modifiers work? Is it a %increase on the base crit chance of spell/attack?
Yep. Normally you have 100% of your base crit chance. Then you add on your %increases from passives and gear. Base crit chance of wands can be like 11%, spark 4%, discharge 8% etc.
Another thing people don't know about crit, is that 100% crit multiplier = 150% crit damage since critical hits do 150% of the hit as a base.
