Farming Lunaris temple act 3 is more fun than farming maps, idk seems so peaceful. I just put on some music and just run it, reminds me of farming docks forever and I really like the pack sizes there

My map pool is beginning to scare me. Last 2-3 maps in a row haven't yielded anything. I did find a Crypt map earlier, but I used a Chance on it to see if I rolled the unique. Instead, I got:
92% IIQ
Vulnerability
-23% max resists
Monsters fire 3 additional projectiles
+75% monster cold resist
Unique boss deals +30% damage and attacks 25% faster

Crypt is a copy of Fellshrine, yes? I'm not sure if it's a good idea to run this beast. I have only about 7,500 armour and 4,400 life (resists are capped with Endurance Charges). I'm EK and have a Skelly Totem, so the boss buff and the cold resist mods don't really do anything, since the boss is a melee skeleton. My other maps are 2 Dungeons, 2 Overgrown Ruins, an Arsenal, and a Wharf. Blarg.

You can buy like so many 66-67 maps for dirt cheap since new patch opened up higher lvl farm areas

True, but I am trying to be self-found. Will that map rip me to shreds? I have Unwavering Stance, so the stun aspect of Vulnerability is whatever.

Crypt is like church or catacombs, the boss is from church i believe (throw vurnerability or temporal chains). It's easy for a hard map because it's closed area, a lot of rooms to lure a bit and kill. It may be hard if you roll skeletons & necromancers but exploding totem/detonate dead will help in such cases. You can surely clean it but beware of monsters who shoot additional projectiles stacked as one (you see one flying but it's 4) like alchemists/pyromancers or dogs. They can kill you instantly (if crit) but that's no reason to back off from trying at least. Leave the map if you'll think it's too hard. Also as long as it's not your last map you can just leave it for later/run in a party. I think the mods are very nasty but I would probably run that in 66 now.

Hmm, all right. I have a Detonate Dead gem in my regular gear slots for Necromancers. Maybe I should grind to 75 and pick up Elemental Adeptation a bit earlier than planned (delaying Divine Toughness and Inner Force by a level) to help combat the Exposure affix. Also, farming Docks teaches you about LMP dogs pretty quickly. =P

[Edit] Followup question: How difficult is post-buff Lunaris? I've gained a few hundred HP and about 700 armour since I (easily) completed it pre-buff.

Oh yes, and my Flask setup: Bubbling of Heat, Seething of Grounding, Ample Quicksilver of Adrenaline, Ample Granite of Warding, Avenger's Granite of Iron Skin. Covers pretty much all the bases. All are 20% quality, of course.

If you play Hardcore then that map looks a bit too deadly i would think. -23% max resist is already very bad. Coupled with 3 additional projectiles it will make for extremely hard spellcasters. Burn/shock/freeze, if they happen, will also be a lot more deadly cause of Vulnerability.

Oh well, that map can range from easy to ugh, depending on the monsters in it. ^_^ Like always...

Yes, I play on HC.

P.S. Sorry for all the newfag mapping questions. Despite playing a ranged build with CS Bear Traps and insane survivability, I don't want to die to something really stupid after finally making it through Merciless and not dying to desync or lag.

[Edit] Just did that crazy Crypt map pretty damn easily. But... with 92% IIQ... it dropped zero maps. THANKS, OBAMA. :|

Patch 11.0 looks good.

Some expected changes in 0.11.0 are:

More party loot allocation options
Direct melee buffs
Rebalance of monster damage
Improved resync code. The scope of this patch doesn't include the more complex changes to the action prediction system, but will hopefully prevent deaths by resyncing more aggressively when needed.
Some secret awesomeness that I'm not able to reveal just yet. It's bigger than the other changes in the patch.
Secret awesome stuff could be Act III Ex. Might be the cutthroat league, but I think they'd make a huge deal out of it. Raising the level of merciless zones is a good indicator of new content, however...

Nah, it can't be the new leagues. It was specifically stated that those would occur in exactly one month's time.

I also kinda doubt it's Act 3.5, since they said the game would come out of beta soon after the extension is released, and the goal for that was roughly September, if I remember correctly. But I can't really think of anything else that's remotely plausible. Well, fingers crossed anyways.

Edit: On second thought, he says it's the "second phase" of open beta, so maybe it's Act 3.5 after all.

One of the reasons they increased the level range of Merciless Act 3 is to have non-map zones go up to around the level they will after Act 3X is released. They only just buffed the zones last patch, so there is no way they would simply recalibrate the levels to compensate for it, and then release the content and have to recalibrate the levels again so soon afterward.

They'll probably just increase the minimum level map like they did when they released act 3.

The rebalance of monster damage is the most interesting thing though. So many ways you can go with that one.

Man, I've been so cockblocked on maps lately. I'm at like 0/4 on Piety runs for maps, and I have yet to see anything remotely good from Catacombs. Zero chests after 6-8 runs, and the Scribe's Racks haven't dropped anything good (one literally dropped nothing). I have zero 66 maps, and only 5 67s and a couple of 68s. What should I do?

When I played my freeze pulser I got my first map after I had hit lv 75... is that normal? farmed docks for a long time btw.
