My main died recently at lvl 78. I didn't really mind that much because I was starting to really understand the game. Even if I don't trade, and don't have the skill that would carry me to level 90, I still feel like I beat the true "campaign" of the game. PoE is one of the most rewarding games just because knowledge = power. I had 2 gaming weaknesses that PoE solved: 1. Being willfully ignorant of certain aspects of a game. I used to use sub-optimal strategies and didn't scout in SC2. I thought that if I just practiced my macro/strategy I could be the best. But no! PoE taught me that games follow certain rules, and by knowing all aspects of the game you can succeed. Learning every single mechanic and strategy of a game is now a top priorety for me. 2. Doing stupid shit over and over and over. In SC2 I would run into tanks with lings and in dota 2 I would play too risky and die, which would lead into feeding. If you die in hardcore PoE you are screwed. PoE forces you to learn how to dissect a situation and play it out the optimal way. So if anyone is a competitive gamer and wants to check out PoE, I strongly suggest you do so.

There aren't a ton of fireball builds atm. You probably could have sold that for a GCP. Low % gems are kinda hard to get rid of because you can get a 16-17% gem for around 3 GCP and then spend a few GCPs to upgrade it to 20. The entire market isn't crashed tho. Exalts are worth more and mirrors are like 45 exalts. The harder to get uniques are around the same price. The easy to get ones are dirt cheap.

Market is dead!!!! .. well not really, regals went up in price to 2 chaos, exalts are inflated, though I expect that to come down a bit, its a bit overpriced, seems like people are just flocking to them since GCPs went down so low. Most non qual gems are not even worth an alch now, stuff like blood magic will still sell for a bit however, any gem sub 10% is basically just GCP fodder unless the base gem has a high value.

I died at level 10 but at the time I was top 50 out of 200. Not bad imo for only playing for 1 day now. Learned a lot. I look forward to doing much better in later races. Someone said frost nova was good if you are templar ele cleave in the early levels. I even had a frost nova, I just didn't think of that.

And it benefits from +%eledmg nodes etc. Hence pretty good "filler"-skill untill you get cleave and decent enough weps. Really like that post Always nice to hear people evovle their thinking through a game. And imo you can consider that you beat the game when doing most maps without dying. Yet we have none lv100 ![]()

Gotta say making official racing servers is the best thing to happen to this genre. Most fun I've had in a long time.
