A small optimization I noticed you could make is taking the 2 +10 int nodes near your starting area out and putting one into the +10 strength near elemental adaption. That would save you 1 point and if you needed the int you could put it into a Savant node and you would gain +10 str and +10 int. | ||

That's a very good point :D If you're using EE then none of your gear can have elemental damage on it. While this isn't actually that hard to pull off it is annoying when you're finding random drops or looking for upgrades because EE will no longer work if you deal any sort of elemental damage (other than the skills you're rotating). Any amount of elemental damage currently sets the EE debuff which makes it very impractical (GGG Devs have posted possible changes in the EE thread where it would have a minimum damage amount, but until this change is applied, if ever, EE simply isn't worth using in weapon builds). You can brute force it if you want, but I don't think it is worth the effort. Lightning Strike may be used with fast weapons merely because they are better than 2H typically than for any other reason. The % weapon damage indeed plays no role, but the way attack speed works and flat elemental damage additions from wrath/anger makes fast weapons better. 1Handed weapons like daggers are much faster than 2Handed and can also be used with a shield. If you're just worried about having fun and not min-maxing your first character you can probably ignore most of what I've said. | ||

have had so many close calls in Normal A3 and ALT + F4ing out because I've been playing cocky. I'm surprised I'm still in HC to be honest. going to change my playstyle from Sweep/Leap Slam/Heavy Strike to just a whole lot of Lightning Strike+Pierce+LMP now | ||
