A young, unfamiliar team with a new manager and chaos surrounding the captaincy narrowly losing to the World Cup runners-up? I'd say it went pretty well...
I never said it was bad match, i didnt even watch it i was watching Fra vs Ger match instead. i just found out the robben goal through twitter.

I kinda exaggerated the raping, but France was doing really well with their possession of the ball. While Germany was playing poorly. i know their key players are missing. Still, that's no excuse of not playing well.

Germany lost 11 months ago 2:1 against australia at home, so wtf cares.
Those friendlies are completely unnecessary, the players only get injured, and the losers are always the clubs.

France last lost was in aug 2010!
and the last time germany lost an away game was more than 4 years ago (tournaments excluded)

its more embarrassing losing at home against your main rival. lol!
Who cares, these are all friendlies. Germany beat us (Holland) the other day, convincingly. All these results probably only mean that levels aren't too far apart, any of these big teams have chances of winning, and a lot will come down to the form and spirit on the day itself.

Main rival?! I hope you don't mean France. Almost no one here has any hard feelings against France when it comes to football. Our main rivalry we have with our beloved Dutch neighbour.

it is definitely you! and Argentina and Italy. I have nothing against Holland, Spain or France.
THANK HEAVENS Pearce doesn't want the job, fark me he picks a shit team, does the whole thing AVB style, where you completely shake up there team way to quickly and cause to much doubt/tension which is not needed! Picks squad of youngsters, with 2 familar faces with experience, Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard, Cole last year was undoubtly best LB in the world, fantastic. Gerrard since his return from injury has been fantastic (coming from a Chelsea fan too..) He gives the Captaincy to Parker, who is just a defensive midfielder who tackles people, cant ping any crossfield passes, cant unlock any defense with a decent pass, just breaks up the play. Plays Barry alongside Parker to make the team boring and dull. Plays Gerrard, not Captain, GOD KNOWS WHY, such disrespect to a long serving player who always gives his heart for his country, vice skipper to JT before, lead England in world cup for bit and always steps in to Captain (Englands best player at world cup too) Doesn't play Ashley Cole left back either plays Leighton Baines who whenever plays for England is crap, his crossing was dyre all game and was barely ok at defending. So wtf is Pearce doing? Way to much to soon and then to top it off comes out and says "This isnt a game we need to win its to experiment" or some crap on that line. Well when you looked at the Holland team they bought over it was the best avaiable to them. They showing they wanted to win, play well and get in the mood for Euro 2012. England...decide to experiment with an idiot manager who plays awful formation, stupidly under aged team and with the wrong captain. GET OUT PEARCE!!! Not like i was even bothered about the scoreline, we didnt play to badly, but first half we were the worst team, and second half we were the worst team also. Nothing new, same kind of tactics under Capello just different young inexperience personal. He had 2 CBs in his squad and played 1 of them.

/rant over..but you must see my point a bit?
Gerrard was only planned to play 45 minutes at max, but only managed 30. What's the point giving him the armband when everyone knows he's completely knackered from the Carling Cup? And even in those 30 minutes he was the worst England player on the field. He probably should have got it out of respect, but I dunno...playing 30-45 mins then handing the armband over kind of devalues the point of your captain. His team pick was weird sure, but why not try a lot of new combinations in a friendly? The strongest team on paper has proven since 2006 to be completely inept and terrible. Besides, it's not like Harry Redknapp is going to have the balls to play anyone except Ferdinand, Gerrard, Lampard, Cole, Rooney, Terry etc then say "at least we 'ad a triffic crack at it 'ey?" when it all goes tits up in Euro 2012.
There's not really much to say when the starting 11 have proven for 6 years to suck. The "reserve" squad, are equally as bad and the youngsters consist of people like Walcott and Welback who are the kind of players who play world-class 3 from 365 days a year, and terrible the rest. I'm surprised this kind of radical experimentation hasn't been tried a long time ago.
