There seem to be only very few people who share your opinion, however i have not played EU2, so i can not comment on that directly.

If I buy EU3 Chronicles on Steam, will I be able to play at least Complete on a Mac? It says that Complete is osx compatible, but that Chronicles is not.
Speaking of which, Chronicles is 12 bucks on steam until the 28th.

IMO, if you get the offer on Steam, and it for some reason doesn't let you download the OSX version, just go ahead and warez it man. You paid for it, you should be allowed to play on whatever OS you want.

Ok, thanks. I do have a windows machine to play it on, but my brother owns a macbook, and it would be great if he could play too.
Edit: Actually, it looks like Steam formats the package in such a way that my brother will be able to play Complete, but without the other two expansions.

So I just had a game where I played Teutonic Order, my goal was forming Germany. Played with D&T mod
I followed the missions, made Pskov, Moldavia and Riga my vassels pretty fast. England then annex Pommermania and took those provinces from England and got the free cores. Beat up Poland/Lithuania, took some of north Poland made Lithuania my vassal Then with Austria I beat up Bohemia and made them release Silesia and made Silesia my vassal. Then Claimed Throne on Brandenburg and was lucky to inherit them pretty fast.
By now about 100 years had passed.
I was made Emperor of HRE ! Made the rest required provinces my vassals and used missions to diplomatic annex and get cores on them.
Then disaster stuck, Austria got a personal Union with the leftover of Bohemia who was 2/3 of its normal size. then not even 10 years later Austria got a personal Union with Bosnia, who had all of Balkan and Greece :S
I continued to make the rest of Germany my vassals and annex what I could.
Austria then forced Bosnia to intergrate AND inherited Bohemia.
The status now is: 1622 I made Germany and got all the german provinces except the Austrian and Bohemian ones. Lithuania is my vassal together with Netherland both are their default Size. I got an Alliance with Italy (it formed and got nearly all of Italy, not the 4 Austrian owned provinces) Alliance with Russia (Formed and look like Russia of today)
France is long gone.
against:
Austria, who own part of Venice and Aquelia, Bohemia, Poland, Balkan, Greece and most of Turkey. Austria got Aragon as only ally and Aragon only got 4 provinces.
According to the ledger Austria can field a army who are double the size of mine and I got maxed army sliders We are close in tech, I am only very slight ahead, got all the great army NI, ready to fight Austria! Still I can only field 780000 against Austria's 1500000 ! 1 million 500000!!!! Italy around 200000 and Russia around 500000
Never seen such a strong Austria before :S

Does Death and Taxes use DW?

Ah yes
It wouldn't work when I put it in my mod folder, so I just copied my entire EU3 folder and overwrote the main files in one. The game is only like 500mb, so who cares
Loving it too, lots of small changes making it fantastic. I also noticed if I decline a war call from an ally, I don't instantly lose my alliance with them. Is that D&T, or is that 5.1 and I never noticed?
|
If you decline a CtA in DW5.1 you definitely lose your alliance with them, and as far as I know mods can't change that.

Well I've declined two CtA's in D&T so far and I'm still allied with the countries. Weird.
Also, EU3 Chronicles sale. Everything for $11.

Yes.
Fuck yes.
As Tver.
And I'm unsure if this is because I put High Aggression down to Normal, but GH only attacked me ONCE. Usually by now I'd expect to be attacked like, every possible chance. Granted Lithuania has been on their dick the entire game, and I was/am allied with Poland the entire game so....perhaps that is it.
EDIT: Now is where I make a choice. Do I take National Conscripts? With Death and Taxes it's pretty god damn good, +50% manpower, +33% Forcelimits and Regiment Recruitment time. HOWEVER, I lose a substantial amount of Discipline -- 20%. Not sure if worth it. I don't really got the economy to field a -massive- army yet, but hopefully as I core a bunch more of my territories in the coming decades that will change.
Hm.

EU3 chronicles is on sale on Steam the next 24 hours!

Gh will attack you every 5 years as long as you have a border with them and are not paying tribute or a vassal of them, completey undepending on aggressiveness. They don't even have a choice. Unless D&T changes something with horde mechanics, i am not really into mods, maybe i should start once i am done with the achievements.

D&T makes it really easy to change your horde nation into a normal one. You just have to click through a number of events which have no effect and just cost some stability. It is really easy. So maybe the AI did that and thus doesnt have to attack all the time anymore.
This reminds me I still have to play a Mongol Khanate game and rebuild the Mongol empire :3

You think Poland will join me against Lithuania in my Reconquest? Lithuania still being under Polands PU.

I can't beat both at once, fuck.

Yay, Denmark retaking their medieval claims in the Baltics. Makes me happy.
As for your Poland/Lithuania troubles, I have no idea. One thing's for sure; you don't want Poland to inherit.
