I think the startup and hitbox for different characters matters as well. If two Ryu's start at the same time, they will trade. But if Ryu and Ken start at the same time at point blank range, Ryu will always beat out Ken, and a trade only happens if Ken starts a bit earlier. Same goes for red focus. Using a faster level 2 against a slowly charging level 3 focus attack is ineffective for obvious reasons. | ||
