Yeah, I recognize all of those including Blockbuster Jon (Adon player, switched to someone else in Ultra or something). Commander Jesse... I've seen the name... but nothing comes to mind. Haha.

edit: Wait, is he a Sakura player? I'm reaching here.

Sucks that Jayce couldn't even take out Chris T. Dude's gotta learn to block a crossup or 37.

Chris T is a monster though, that dude has stepped his game up a thousand times. Must have sold his soul or something to get that good that fast.

Can he attempt to land his ultra animation then? I was out of town all day, but I assume, like always, he didn't even attempt it and just used ultra ASAP.

http://www.twitch.tv/unequalledmedia is live with Triple Threat 12, an EGX Qualifier. I don't know what any of those things mean. Seems to be a small tournament that flew completely under my radar. If anyone knows anything more about this, let me know.

UnequalledMedia says this ran yesterday and that they're streaming a handful of top 8 matches, so it won't go for long.

DreamHack Summer 2015

It's DreamHack! It's the biggest eSports event in Sweden. It has a USF4 segment. What more do you need to know?!

This tournament is Japan Style, meaning the entire Street Fighter segment takes place over the course of a single day. This event starts Saturday the 13th of June, 2015, at 12:00 CEST, and concludes the following evening.

Notable entrants:
  • GamerBee, Taiwanese player who plays a phenomenal Adon
  • BX3.Veggey, because I am Norwegian and so is he, so suck it!
  • Problem X, one of the best C. Viper players in the world
  • Pro Fluke, a very flashy El Fuerte player and one of UK's top players
  • RMZ, a very impressive Yun and Decapre player from the UK
  • Ryan Hart, the Prodigal Son, Guinness world record holder and first ever sponsored FGC player
  • Tyrant, possibly the best Bison (Dictator) player in Europe
  • Ixion, the absolute best Dan main on the planet
  • Bashfest, Sweden's best Sagat player

Schedule for USF4 at DreamHack is as follows:

Saturday 13th of June
      • Ultra Street Fighter 4 Pools
            12:00 CEST - 18:00 CEST |

East Coast Throwdown

East Coast Throwdown is a fairly long-running event held every year in New Jersey. It's a sizable tournament that usually features some excellent talent from across the US. Last year it was part of the Capcom Pro Tour, and offered seeding points to players of Ultra Street Fighter IV. Unfortunately, they did a bracket float to prevent Justin Wong and Ricki Ortiz from playing in the second round, and as a result they were penalized by Capcom.

This year they are not part of the Capcom Pro Tour, and they are headlining Mortal Kombat X instead of USF4, but the talent pool is still strong for USF4. There should be some fun games throughout the weekend.

This event starts Saturday the 13th of June, 2015, at 18:00 EDT, and concludes the following Sunday.

Notable entrants:
  • Justin Wong, like you even need to ask
  • K-Brad, a Cammy player who was dominant in AE2012 and still arguably the best Cammy in the world
  • Ricky Ortiz, the most exciting Rufus player picked up Rolento recently, and it is great to watch
  • Filipino Champ, self-proclaimed bad boy and the best Dhalsim loyalist in the USA (if not the world)
  • Zeus, a fantastic Vega player
  • Smug, best Dudley in the world and the main reason Dudley has so many players now
  • Rico Suave, responsible for a huge influx of Abel players
Semi-notables:
DaFeetLee (he would be a "notable" if I could find a single good highlight of him on YouTube zzz)
      PIE Lee Chung
      PIE PoeM
      RayRay

Schedule for USF4 at East Coast Throwdown is as follows:

Saturday 13th of June
      • Ultra Street Fighter 4 Pools
            18:00 EDT - 22:00 EDT |
            http://www.twitch.tv/teamsp00ky

Sunday 14th of June
      • Ultra Street Fighter 4 Top 8
            20:00 EDT - END |
            http://www.twitch.tv/teamsp00ky

News and updates will be added to this post as details become available.

DreamHack doesn't have a good and complete player list available. The one that's available definitely has some players missing. I'll be checking for updates leading up to the event and if I find anything crazy I'll post it here.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend! ♥

There are a couple of 10 min gameplay videos out there. It still looks a tad too slow imo but it works. I'm not a fan of the hitstop though. Or maybe it just looks slow/awkward because of the hitstop.

Well if you compare it to the earliest trailers it's definitely taking a turn for the better, both aesthetically and gameplay-wise. At this rate who knows how it'll really turn out, but at least they seem to be listening and evolving in a positive way so far.

Here's one of the gameplay videos for those interested

Yeah, it definitely gets better each time they show it. I'm not particularly worried about it. Except for the hitstop everything else looks great. I really like that V-trigger is the comeback mechanic now instead of the CA.

This overview of the mechanics is really nice. Goes in a bit more in-depth compared to the others I've seen. Like no invincibility on back dash.

All of it looks very cool so far. I like the speed, the new mechanics, the looks.

Starting to be sure my characters won't make it tho, so I started learning Juri because there's no way she wont be in there.

So we get alpha counters? Looks nice, but I still feel a bit reserved.

Haggar's on the poster (and Guy?), so maybe they're teasing the chance he is in?
So zen.
