The Battlefield series has never been about singleplayer and in fact before Bad Company they didn't even bother making a singleplayer. Battlefield is all about 64 player Conquest, or maybe Rush, I'll try that out too, but multiplayer always. The single player is only for when the internet is down. This, pretty much. I haven't played a BF single player yet, and I probably won't for a while.

Gotta say that this multiplayer is pretty awesome after the beta version. Still not 100% happy but best fps game this year for sure^^

hahahahahahaha I played against you in a 3v3 :D I remember you!

The pings for all the servers in my server browser disappeared after I disconnected from one game. Anyone know what's up with that?
EDIT: Are we playing on local servers if we used a proxy unlock? As in, is this the latency we can expect on legitimate release date?

Anyone know how to change your name? I thought we would be given that option?

"When you first login to Origin, you are asked if you want to change your Avatar, your personal information and your EA Master ID. Once you proceed past this point and save changes, you will not be able to change your Master ID again. "

I think it is to prevent people from griefing and name changing for anonymity.

Torte-De-Lini was taken. Tortellini TorteDeLini
Since when is the name popular?

Let it be known all who here thee, I downloaded the entire game in 6 hours, which equaled 11.4gb's...and yet I downloaded SC2, which was 7gb's in 15 hours. Can someone explain that? lol Fuck you Blizzard, Dice my new best friend. :D Let's hope this game doesn't fry my computer now. My release is 2am, gonna be sweet fellas. GLHF

It would be great if a very experienced FPS and BF player could do a critical review of BF3 for me, before I spend a fortune buying a new computer for it. These questions are directed towards more hardcore gamers rather than casual.
Questions:
1) How accurate and reliable are hitboxes when mixed with average latency, specifically when sniping at moving targets?
2) Is the recoil appropriate? Bad Company 2 had absurdly high recoil/spread in the beginning, and currently has absurdly low recoil.
3) Are death speeds reasonable? Bad Company 2 vanilla has very low death speeds, while BC2: Vietnam has extremely high death speeds.
4) Is flying a helicopter in BF3 easier or harder than flying a chopper in BC2?
5) Are jet physics reasonably realistic, or do they feel too arcadey?
6) Do you know of any extremely frustrating gameplay problems, aside from bugs? For example, it was impossible to arm/disarm an m-com in BC2 if there was enough fallen kits nearby, since the hotkey to pick up weapons was the same as the hotkey to arm/disarm.
7) Do you see yourself playing BF3 6 months from now? 1 year from now?

Ah there's that name changer. For a little while I thought I might actually regret naming myself misterfister69.

GLHF I downloaded it in 4 hours (slower than steam :<) Serejai downloaded it in 20 minutes. Pretty subjective yo. did you happen to download SC2, the biggest release of 2010 on launch? :3

Downloading now, can't wait until midnight!
Does anyone know if after you unlock the game through a proxy server, can you still get back on NA?
