Basically yes. Opening Doran's Shield and running max mp5plvl runes turned me into a laning monster. After I down my lane's tower, I become this roaming, hard pushing, damage absorbing dude.

Garen doesn't quite equal auto win. I had a solo queue game where I ended up with this Garen who decided that after we lost a teamfight, even though we were up in turrets and like two kills behind and even on levels, he was going afk. So we lose two more teamfights, and suddenly he comes back and decides to help again and we manage to win a few teamfights even though we're down in levels and items. uhg, my late game hooks were so bad, but thanks for the support guys! I think I did a good job holding my ults and I was jungling faster and outganking lilballz early which I was really happy with, but goddamn those fights at mid were painful T_T such a fast and slippery team to try to hook...

EDIT: and the one fucking time I tricked them mid and had a gimme hook janna and ult 5, fucking Olaf turns back and blocks the hook accidentally right by the wall so that I don't actually jump it! RAGE!

^haha, you should watch that game they're talking about, Turkey's first ranked game with Garen and he was basically just running around doing whatever he wanted. They seriously couldn't put a dent in him.

Just played the most frustrating game ever, when I lag god I lag hard. Basically teamfights became me just casting WP then hitting defile and then just waiting 5 seconds to where its over. We won though thankfully because they had a leaver.

lol i think i had over 200 armor and MR and then my 35%damage reduction W on top of that...they just kept tickling me..

grag + janna poking u guys looked really irritating, but imo ur ults + turkey's amazing garen ballerness won the day. Tbh, tho, they didnt really have substantial dmg for the most part, and were mostly a midgame team, while yours seemed to be better lategame equipped

yea our lategame rocked because they couldnt hurt either of us, and yes you are correct, midgame their poking was pissing us off massively.
we would D our tower waiting for a time to go in..someone would get hit by barrel roll...and then leave to heal, by the time they came back someone else would get hit and have to go heal, and so on and so forth
