When?
As it's a tournament and not a league this will all take place on one day, the date and time for this is as below.
Tournament is cancelled due to not enough people showing up.

Where?
Meetup at Server 2 (Avatar off) in Channel 8. You will make your own game rooms with a password that you and the opponent decide.
How to join?
Write your gunbound name in this thread and you will be added to the list.
Final day to register is 24 hours before tournament starts.
Prize?
This tournament is for fun and to keep us all entertained. The winners will recieve glory and their names in the list below.
Winners Top 1-3 will receive avatars. Not confirmed what but some goodies will be handed over.

Game Rules
Each set will be a bo3 series up until the finals which will be bo5.
First map is always Meta Mine A Side and then the loser can pick Any Map.
You will report to me after the series are done i.e. if the score is 2-1 you tell me the result after completing the series so you won't have to create a new game room all the time.

The lack of dual/dual+/bunge+ makes the matches very uninteresting and imba towards things like boomers and turtles and terribly bad for things like lightning or nak.

I'll join the tourney for the benefit to get some awesome stuff but you called me a noob at gunbound (which is fine) AND on TEAMLIQUID (which is not fine) few days ago. I take very offensive on that. Hmmm...

Are you going to allow Random? Because someone getting a dragon or a knight could mess up the tourney.

Every bot benefits from dual/dual+ (with the exception of lightning), while only certain bots (ones with high dig) can benefit from bunge items, etc.

Lightning can actually do some nasty stuff with bunge and dual+ if you get a good dual+ in you can dig someone into a hole that's hard to shoot out of. It's not going to bunge them but you can hit them with the #2 first to drop them down then the #1 drops them into a circular hole. Dual+ adds a lot of strategy even to bots like lightning.

I personally (as a turtle) hate playing against good lightnings... they ruin angle with shot 2 if shooting at you from the left and the SS just kills your slope.

I realized people would start to complain/comment about the items. In GBWC when they had a 1vs1 world league all items were allowed and it was very imbalanced. No bot could beat bigfoot for example, all you did was to get 6 Bunge item and either 1 dual or 2 Small healths. You would kill the angle for the opponent with every shot and bury him deeper, eventually he would get bunged or killed.
Now why I don't allow Dual+ or Teleport and such is because in my experience the delay is a bit imbalanced towards Dual+, i.e you do a SS and the Dual+ might delay you or it might not it's highly unpredictionable. Considering Teleport it's just not fair if you successfully dig a nice hole for your enemy and he just gets out of it to a higher ground and kills you.
Also the Dual+ owns Dual in a 1vs1 for bots that you guys mentioned like Turtle and Boomer. Think about it; boomer vs boomer and 1st uses dual and hits, 2nd does dual+ and hits, 2nd will get next turn and either uses s1 to get advantage (which will lead to 100% win if he hits next) or he tries a dual and might very well kill him right there. This is my experience though.
I thought about having a discussion in the original thread about this but I got so curios so I just posted this anyway. How about he test with just Dual in this tournament and we can add other items in the next one? Note that I am willing to add items in this tournament if you think my idea is too boring and unfavourable.

Whatever... I'll play, but if you don't Dual+, I'm just going boomer. I understand getting rid of healing items, and teleport to prevent long, stupid standoffs, but no Dual+ is still pretty bullshit in my opinion.

To get the buddylist working you should open port 8372.
Also the buddylist works one day and doesn't the other, have patience with it. But opening the port should make it better, worked for me.
