Three times this season I've tuned into the Knicks game to see them up by 10+ at the half, then checked back later to see the lead reversed in the early fourth. Typically I just watch Knicks games becuase I'm fascinated with the black hole that is Al Harrington's hands (once an object enters, it will never leave until the point of complete entropy/terrible shot).
The more surprising thing than the win was that gallinari is #1 in three pointers made, that stat came out of nowhere at me :O.
the stat didn't come out of nowhere - it's the reason he was drafted so high last year, because he has a pretty sick upside.
it's just that I feel so many of the high draft pick Europeans have been total busts over the past few years that we've grown to be really skeptical of them, so now when Galinari is actually starting to live in to his hype, we're like "whoa where did he come from"... oh wait, he was picked 6th or 7th because people KNEW he had this potential in him.

I think the "high draft pick Euro busts" is also mainly because most of the high draft pick Euros tend to be big-men, whom are more likely to struggle making the transition (due to the much more physical nature of the NBA and all). I don't really remember any other swingman Euro come over and get picked that high.

I don't understand people's criticisms of Artest this year. People like the Truehoop guy say: "Ron Artest could well make people forget he was compared to Ariza. But the more he insists on proving what a superstar he is, and the more he calls his own number on offense and steals glory from his teammates on defense, the more the Lakers are going to wish they still had Trevor "not really delusional at all" Ariza."
... when has Artest called his own number on offense this year? So what if he talks shit in interviews, he's crazy it's not as if anyone takes him seriously.
The Lakers have the best record in the NBA and Artest has been playing really well and been an awesome defender, also averaging like 5 boards / 4 assists.
The media is the only entity that feels Artest has been anything but positive for the team.

I've got nothing against Ron. I thought he was always refreshingly honest. A bit crazy to be sure, but the NBA needs some interesting characters around.

Hope AI can help me with PTs and STLs.

Everything Ron Artest is doing in LA say he's fitting very well into their system. The stats even back it up. "calling his own number on offense" is just straight BS. If this were true he'd probably have a higher PPG with a lower FG%. I think people just compare the PPG without looking at the actual games. The Lakers are probably stronger with Artest and will probably finish the season with the best record because now that Pau's back they are tearing shit up.

that was really interesting. i'd love to see him and big ben square off lol. i'm actually surprised he still actually thinks about that after 5 yrs.

and i thought having harris on a bad team would be a good thing

at the IZOD center no less
cmon Yi, stop getting injured so you can actually get some playing time

For a Phoenix to rise from the ashes it must first crash and burn. Phoenix is burning.

Earl Boykins constantly closing out games for the Wiz.
Don't think anyone thought that would be happening...

He was kicking ass, then he got injured, then so did Crittenton, and Miller, so they signed Boykins, and Boykins stole the show (and minutes) away. Post had an article couple days ago about that bizarre situation; Saunders was like "yeah Foye was doing awesome! But Boykins is kicking butt too."

I'm just wondering what everyone thinks about Iverson coming back to the 76's and if he can actually turn that team around. I have no doubt that he still has it in him, but I'm really curious to see how it'll all play out.

My T-Soldiers traded two bench players (Mike Miller and Foye) for Ricky Rubio. Time will ultimately tell if that was a good trade, but I have a feeling we came out on top on this one.
