also, i love that bell of avici the singing/song is epic, though i feel overall it's a little lacking in supporting parts... feels a bit thin the PV is pretty good :D Oh, didn't hear the full version before, that's a pretty epic guitar solo! concert is done, but my group's soul as red as a ground cherry didn't go too well, though it was redeemed by the 2nd song "connect" from madoka (anime) the electric guitar player's amp was unplugged somehow, so someone moving between groups unplugged it ;_; the bass guitar player's amp was set to an octave lower, so we basically couldn't hear him at all (IIRC, i don't think he was able to fix it, but idk) So basically, the 2 very awesome aspects of the song (the bouncy bass and the bouncy... whatever synthesized thing it is that repeats throughout almost the whole song) weren't audible xD it was strange without that important background/foundation I saw the teacher's face he was like, uh oh, then he seemed to want to try to fix it by walking around or such, but then he had a face of like a "oh darn, can't... well hopefully they'll make the best of it, i believe in them!" so he had this encouraging smile the whole time, and he was facing the wall, and i was facing him with the keyboard; i guess it helped we were together at least, and the trumpet player (who isn't that good but was able to pull it together for this performance) played the melody quite well, except I think he may have blurted the high note as usual, but w/e though when the 2nd part of the song came in, with the mallet/piano sounding melody, i played that pretty well but then messed up 1 measure and dropped out for that measure haha... but then came back later, though I think i tripped again, but was able to keep going this time then the piano solo came... i played it satisfactorily, except I guess i got a bit excited during part of it so i tripped and messed up about 1-2 beats, though hopefully it didn't sound too bad since it was so fast anyways; i ended it well, though I realized that i didn't wait enough for the others to catch back up; i tripped during those 1-2 beats and then I sorta just went to the next part so i skipped that beat and went ahead, though we ended back together then it was a bit lulz, cus I have to grab the 2nd part of my music before the 2nd song (it's a medley I guess), but the violin player didn't wait as long as usual; i got up really quickly, grabbed it, put it down, and then I realized the audience was clapping (lol noobs), then the violin played the pick up intro, and then i was, with basically no leeway, able to come in on time even though i JUST sat down xD it felt satisfying then thankfully that song ended well, so that hopefully the fucked up first part would be forgiven a bit we got good applause for both the first and 2nd song... strange cus usually i don't notice or pay attention to applause (usually it's unintentional; i'm usually just thinking of other things, instead of remembering to hear what the applause is like) honestly i felt pretty bad afterwards, but not as bad as usual... it was an important performance for me cus i could have spent that time studying for AP tests to get credit and thus save lots of time/money in college xD and also because, of course, touhou is fucking awesome and this is my last concert ever; once i'm in college, concerts will be way different (much higher level, and maybe won't even allow anything but art music usually) i had hoped someone would record it, so that even if it was actually as bad as i perceived, i could at least have that to remember in the future :D but seems like i'll have to ask people i don't know very well ;_; well im going to play some sc2 now to clear my mind haha if anyone reads this, thanks for listening Also, dammit ZUN won't be there??? so the coincidence of his wedding + reitaisai wasn't cus he was getting married there or anything? T_T lol | ||

i was going to record it with my mp3 player, but i couldn't think of a good spot to put it in... i had the idea of having a friend record it in the audience, but didn't think soon enough... i gave directions (not detailed enough) to my friend who sat in the audience for me, but he wasn't able to get it haha... i was going to put the mp3 player on top of the piano or on a stool in front of our group, that would probably have been a good idea, but oh well my friend (in the group) said he was getting the DVD though, which has recording of all the events! (so hopefully a decent quality since it's $15 donation) so yeah ill try to show it asap ^^ | ||
