the article kinda makes me depressed though. It's basically how Boxer (aka GOD OF STARCRAFT) founded a team that became the best and then they became one of the richest teams in the league and just bought good players when boxer left and still failed and then boxer came back and they became great again. fantasy is almost doomed to never be a true hero of Starcraft. He wasn't Jaedong who came from a last place team and helped bring them to the top, or flash who became the one shining hope of his team after many of the past greats (Ra/Yellow/Reach) couldn't cut it any more. Instead he came from a team that purchased arguably the best coach in the league and the greatest protoss player of all time and then also came to fruition with teammate Best to help carry the team to 1st, and even then couldn't manage to do it thoroughly until Boxer came back.

I would really love to see a team that has never won a Proleague before win next season, like estro or STX. Although I guess technically STX has won the STX cup (although the format is kinda rigged). So go eSTRO for SPL 09-10 champions!

if Boxer had stayed, and not taken intotherainbow (who I also like) away with him, OZ wouldn't be so poor, and history of the team leagues would be totally different. I can't feel "happy" for T1 crushing a poorer team they stole players from. Jaedong + friends got all the way to the finals without Boxer & co's help only to get smashed by a team with better resources (coaches, sponsor, players)... imagine if Boxer had been loyal like Jaedong has been?

this is all silly of course; it's just entertainment. but it's half-serious... real life has a storyline as well

Really now, if every player stayed with the original team they were on, you'd have about 5 teams now. Why should boxer be loyal to a team when it dark reality, teams back then meant almost nothing other then just practice partners. The PL wasn't really a set in stone thing. Needless to say Boxer didn't 'poach' anyone, they left on their own accord (so you should attack intotherainbow's loyalty too then?) Questioning boxer's loyalty when he has stayed with the team HE made for well past retirement years for pro-gamers is not only illogically, it is borderline insulting.

the point isn't boxer, it's the team's journey.

What started out as a team growing talent and taking it to the arena, they turned into a team that purchased lost momentum from loaded bank accounts.

I don't think this is particularly bad or anything, but the posters above hit the nail on the head when they say it robs the team of a certain elegance.
