Awesome article, very well written. I've liked this kid for a long time and I'm very happy to see him play so well lately. I remember noticing Baby's awesomeness back in a Gom classic where he played some very impressive games (if I remember correctly on Medusa -possibly against Jangbi??) but he has come a long way since then. Which winter do you mean? January 2009? Or December? He's been pretty prominent before December 2009, albeit not dominating, but he's definitely been on the A-team long before december. BaBy shows some very unique tendencies in TvT. In this matchup, we can see that BaBy likes to expand and macro, usually in a sudden explosion when he has a decisive midgame advantage. I really don't think there's anything unique about this, every terran will expand if they have an advantage. The korean style of expo whoring and going for heavy tank/dropship/goliath play ensures you have spare minerals, so naturally you expo and turret up. Baby just does it slightly better than the rest. Other than those points, I mostly agree with what you wrote. I'm a big fan of good upcoming terrans and it's nice to see someone other than Flash get some limelight. | ||

I really started paying attention to baby when he 2-0'd jangbi in GSI way back in season 3. I figured maybe this kid has potential, and i wasn't wrong about it either =P | ||

I love baby's matches (despite him beating Jaedong D=< ) because his aggression is always so ENTERTAINING. It's amazing to watch him pick apart his opponents with little bits here and there, and then just roll them. ^_^ | ||
