I think it's still the simplest way right now to ask around for someone who has access to the above list of requirements. Most people are more than happy to help out as long as you can pay them back in a timely fashion.

As for the online shopping thing - 90% of Korean sites require you to use a Korean social security number to sign up. I'm not 100% sure why this is, but the government seems pretty keen to monitor internet use (not as rigorously as China though.)

Belgium apparently monitors it pretty hard too.

I'm not really understanding the point of this "guide".

- You can't buy online unless you are Korean.
- Even if you were Korean, most of the teams don't have online shops. If they do you have to wait for a seasonal sale.
- You can't buy anything but MBCHero offline.
- The only way you will ever get merchandise is if someone living in Korea is nice enough to get it for you.

Basically it just outlines how you can never hope to have any team merchandise unless you have a connection. I thought guides were things that assisted people in achieving something? Should be titled "[FAQ]You will never buy team merchandise on your own so stop asking."

The point of it is the following;

~ People ask about this a lot recently and are often given incorrect advice in blog posts etc.
~ It's for people who are also coming to visit/know people living in Korea or simply don't know where to start when it comes to buying items.

Just because you personally can't use it doesn't mean it's not useful to at least have an outlining of the facts for people who can/people who might be able to in the future or simply those who are curious and don't know any information about the subject.

It's not my fault the options are currently so limited - I'm just here to provide the facts for people who want to purchase these items.

It is assisting people by giving them all the relevant information they might need if they want to purchase items including a few routes to do so which aren't insurmountable to the majority of us.

Why are you reacting so negatively?

I'm not really understanding the point of you stating this. Maybe not you, but MANY others have asked and continue asking how they can get merchandise. Boo hoo you don't have a Korean friend who can hook you up. But I'm sure others do.

If we changed the title to FAQ instead of GUIDE will it make you feel better? This is here so that people are at least informed before doing the "OMG my friend is going to korea where can they go buy stuffffff" threads so that we don't have to repeat ourselves over and over again.

I guess so if you don't have any non-TL friends in Korea.

I thought this was an O.K. post. At glance I expected it to be more about what ReS stated, "a way to get Korean merchandise."

It's not like its anyone's fault. Just unexpected...

They're a fan club item so sadly they're not available to anyone outside of the Korean MJY fanclub. It'd be pretty easy to replicate one at a printing shop at home though - if you provided a photo.

The thing is - it's not possible for me to just make up ways for people outside of Korea to magically obtain merchandise. This post is mainly aimed at people who don't know anything about merchandise finding and also those who are going to/are in Korea who have a chance to visit the shops. I think what made us sad about ReS' post is that it was so negative. I'm only here to provide information and that's what this guide does. If it's not the information certain people want to hear then that's not my fault.
