So to wrap up Week 1.

EG-TL finished 4th... with 3 wins and 4 losses.

Of their four losses, they played 3 of them to the Ace match. (The lone exception being Week 1, when they were confronted with new maps, Jetlag, and many other problems)

All of their losses came to the Top 3 teams (except CJ entus, who was at the time Number 2)

I think this again goes to show that no one will be taking them lightly in the future rounds, as they'll only get stronger as time goes by.
======================

Other random stats:

EG players are 10-13 Liquid players are 11-7. (unimportant I know, but I looked it up, so I put it here)

Taeja is the goto ace with a 1-2 record (3 matches)... Jyp is 0-1

Overall, the players that BEAT EG-TL members are averaging +2 (1.94). Higher if you take into account ace matches (Beat by same player twice). In fact there were only 3 players at all with losing records... so no one is losing to scrubs.

Indeed the result is not bad even if expectations were slightly higher.

Also it is Round 1, Weeks 1,2,3 and 4

So apparently EG-TL scored their first win against their new neighbors LG-IM... at playing soccer.

Congratz to them! They almost got twice as many goals as their opponents.

If the geo information on ThorZaiN's tweet is correct, then the new team house in Oryu-dong seems to be really well located close to both the GOM studio for GSL (4 km) and the Proleague venues at Sindorim (5 km) and Yongsan (12 km).

What I like is the progression : JD = super excited, Taeja = excited, Zenio = wtf don't touch me..

good round1 guys. just start winning ace matches everything will be fine. With steohano is one player to throw in. No automatic loses with Puma.

JYP is 5-3, not 4-4... He lost against Wooki, Soulkey, and sOs, and he beat EffOrt, Stork, Sang (Terminator), Mini, and soO... ~.~

12? So they got a field goal and a safety? Those are some hardcore street rules.

Or do you think they went for 2 pts twice?

Win for EGTL! Nicely done by JYP and Revival. Also this is purely EG win

I really though that EG-Liquid has this after Stephano won 2 games. I wonder why they sent JYP? Wasn't HerO or even TaeJa a better alternative? Or Jaedong with his exceptional ZvZ.

Oh, and EGTL was supposed to be good in the winners format.

They are, but the problem is the coach's bad decisions such as JYP as ace and Puma as the 4th player against Jangbi. I think EGTL needs more practice and time, developing clutch players because Taeja cannot be the only ace for the team.

Well PuMa traditionally had good TvP. I'm watching the VOD from this match right now so not sure about how that played out.

Good play by HerO, though!

EDIT: lol, PuMa so outplayed.

Can anyone tell me where HuK and Stephano are staying? I never see them in the EG-TL house.
