He started out by laughing for like a solid 15 minutes, then later on his stream crashed because he ran out of hard drive space. On the other hand, it was Scarlett and Nerchio, and his failures were funny in a let's laugh at DayJ way. | ||

I said similar thing just after seeing Scarlett's pov from IPL4, good to know Stephy agrees To give you a wider answer: Scrupulate, weaker in lategame macro, excell in small/middle micro: DIMAGA, nerchio DIMAGA had strongest foreign ZvZ in 2010/2011 (most part of 2011), and comaparable to the likes of Nestea etc (yes i was actually saying he could beat him and everyone laughed at me, but unlike them i saw all his vods and understood how good he was in this MU). Remember this MU rellied heavily in ling/bane control in that period. Nerchio has probably one of the best small micro, his trademark build 4-6 zergling no matter what, no matter what matchup. Also his downfall, and he is going weaker by the time the game goes into lategame army composition, he cannot maintain the same precision he has in early game. In-between Stephano, Scarlett Stephano uses "weird style" of doing almost everything with mouse, because of certain SC2 automatizations he can actually do it incredibly efficiently (mass zergling disselections as respond to drop instead of actually grouping them in different control group, becomes a pain in late-game). But this ironically makes him not the best small-micro zerg, he often misses bunker scvs, banelings splits etc. Scarlett unlike Stephano utilizies certain BW mechanics (camera hotkeys) and combines it with good lategame spellcasting. It will be more evident in Hots where micro and spellcasting will be bigger than it is. She only needs to get a little faster and she can actually rival korean zerg monsters mechanics wise. Macro heavy, ignoring details and small micro/mouse use : Idra Almost everything done by keyboard, fixation on macro, he actually started to do mineral "boosting" year behind everyone else... sometimes errors in small micro (he may have changed seeing how he won lately some important ZvZs, i did not follow it though). These are not really fairy tails i saw these trends stick to these players not for months but years and affect them on macro/strategical level aswell. Sometimes its a part of mentality, like in case of Idra and Dimaga, Dimaga was more micro user and Idra was macro user and both them were losing games in weird manner because of too heavy reliant on certain aspects and inability to properly respond when the game went "out of hand" of their usual rhythm. Players in a middle who shift into macro but still maintain deadly micro when needed should be the best, ZvZ used to test these players in this area, unfortunately with Roach centric style not necceserily anymore. | ||
