But the "Player A was in control of most of the game or ahead in resources or map control then Player B won" definition of the term throw is not one I agree with, nor the definition along the lines of "PA was ahead and didn't do everything 100% correctly and PB won," nor do I agree that pressure should be put on every player to always have full information when they're ahead otherwise they're throwing the game.
My definition of throw, since we're still on the subject, is something along the lines of: PA is ahead and makes a poor decision or mistake or series of poor decisions and/or mistakes (based on the information they have at that time) which directly leads to PB winning the game.
Not making a correct decision or not making a great play is very, very different from making an incorrect decision or making a bad play, and letting the former overshadow all of the correct decisions and/or great plays is what I feel throwing around the term "throw" does most of the time with all the other connotations/definitions people have.
To me it wasn't disappointing or sad "cuz she threw," I don't believe she did, it was disappointing and sad because from our perspective she was so, so close to winning the series and I feel that she deserved to with how solid her victories were throughout that series and in her last few series (especially against Serral).
*Also Protoss, to be honest. For me, Force Fields will always make for disappointing, unsatisfying victories when used effectively and make for shallow losses when used poorly. I guess im just writing it wrong i generally do i wasn't trying to imply it was a bad series or anything just that teams or individuals to sometimes throw away a lead they have in any given sport or game or whatever. or maybe i just look at differently in any case both her and classic played well and I honestly believe when on her own turf it will be a hole different story. I don't think that a lot of people (maybe not most, but some) mean to imply that the series (or even a game) was bad when they say it, but the term carries so much more negative baggage. To me it feels like one of those words that's so easy for everyone to throw around—and it gets thrown around so much—that people forget how heavy it really is, how much of an impact it has.
But anyway. Sigh. I can't wait for Montreal.

And that's exactly what happened. She was ahead (like 40-10 in army supply) and made a poor decision (not sending 1 zerling to scout third, not scouting passed the ramp of the natural) based on the information she had at the time (she had decimated his army, no units defending or harassing her army while it was sitting there). Another poor decision was to spend 1k 1k on 11 mutas when knowing he had stargates (he harrased with oracles) and reveal them to kill 1 warp prism in the other side of the map instead of going straight away to kill probes, giving him plenty of time to get Phoenix.
I think that game was the exact definition if "Throw". And I bet she thinks the same way, since in one stream she said something like "I threw hard against Serral in DS" and in this game she was far more ahead of her rival.
And again, like you said people tend to use it in a offensive connotation or to bash some players. I think it's clear thats not my intention at all.

It is just one person updating the OP, my internet has been shaky (or completely and totally dead) all week but I think the last edits I made went through.

Well, I didn't expect a quick 0-3 vs Zest, but I didn't expect a quick and ez 3-0 vs Neeb neither, so... Overall, a nice paycheck and good offline practice vs other top players (and a sick DBZ portrait). Let's hope she can reach the Ro4 in a few hours in WCS Challenger, GL!
Also, props to Blunderfulguy for keeping the OP nice and updated

Cross server not a problem in that match ZvZ will certainly be tougher, but can't wait to see her at Montreal

Oh well, still a good result. Scarlett vs Neeb remains incredibly fickle. 3-0 yesterday to 0-4 today
