A little disappointing, yes, but Dark came out swinging, what can you do? Not a bad tournament run overall, I'd say.

I don't think there's any shame losing zvz to Dark or soO. They're probably the 2 best zvz players in the world. Heck, she beat Rogue, who is top 5 zvz for sure.

everyone loses, if you expect her to win every match you are set for disappointment
I think she played well in this tournament overall
$10K!

it ain`t faze me that she loses two previous important zvz in recent tournaments, losing to soO or Dark wasn`t a colossal failure but i`m bothered the way of what she did it - two series with sweep it`s not that i`m expected at all but put a fight there instead

Indeed, this is nothing to feel bad about.

You going for Super Tournament and GSL S2 next, Scarlett? WCS Austin isn't for a little bit yet, not sure what else is going on this spring.
I'm guessin' LoL training is off the table for good now, maybe a day of Magic with LS will happen instead...?

Thanks for the games, Scarlett! GG. Happy to see you playing so much.
We've seen Scarlett take out some of the best players in the world before: Rogue, Innovation, sOs. She's taken out other stellar SC2 players: Zest, Solar, Serral. She's taken down soO in a bo3. She has taken down Maru and Bomber before. Took down Polt.
The SC meta game shifts rapidly. What each of these colossi brings to the game waxes and wanes throughout the year. A couple years ago, Zest was slaughtering everyone. Remember "Zest is Best"? And then his success dropped off. He just kept getting knocked out of tourneys. Innovation hasn't won a premier tourney since, what, last September? More recently, Rogue has been looking like a titan. Dark and Maru might be emerging as players at the top of the meta game right now, too (along with the WESG finals, they're both in the semis of the GSL, too). The pendulum will swing against them eventually as well.
Scarlett's tangoing with the best of them. Sometimes she encounters players who are just dominating everyone, like Maru is now (and honestly, as a terran player, I'm loving this banshee/viking/raven/ghost combo he's pulling out). Other times, she's the one who leaps out in front of everyone else (i.g., iem PyeongChang). What I love is that she's consistently making it to these later stages in big tournaments with other heavyweights, and that's nothing to scoff at. How freaking cool. If she never wins another tournament, I'd still be following along, seeing how far she can go (and which behemoths she can take down along the way!).
You go, girl.

Dude, get over yourself. Nobody hates you, nobody even knows who you are, you're just some dude shitting up Scarlett's fanclub and SGTK is just asking you to stop.

Normally I'd say "harsh but true," except in this case the man stopped 10 hours before your post, so it becomes more harsh and less true.
SGTK already handled it, no need to shit on him further.

win or lose sasha is a good person to be a fan of for 6 years she has fought the ups and downs and cont. on. that in itself is something to applaud and cheer.

That's a great attitude, and a healthy way of looking at things. I've been an Eagles fan since the dawn of time and I had to wait a long time to see them go all the way; never stopped cheering for them. Been a Flames fan just as long and I've never seen them win a damn thing (in my lifetime). A bra has more cups than the Flames, but that doesn't shake my loyalty towards them. It's a FeelsBad moment to think of Scarlett never winning again, but would I give up on my favourite player even if that were the case? No way.
I don't recall if it was Sasha herself who said so, or if it was Jake mentioning something about it, but as far as I know, she wants to buy a house in Korea. Maybe that's no longer the case, or perhaps I misheard and it never was, so forgive me if I'm mistaken. But for the sake of making my point, let's assume that this is true. If that's her goal, then the absolute bottom line is this: she's making consistent money doing something she loves and she is able to sustain herself by doing so. As long as she keeps doing well in these tournaments, even if she doesn't end up winning, surely she can get herself into a financial position where buying a house could be a reality (not that her finances are any of our business, but let's be real, her winnings are not exactly a secret). So who are we to say that she's not doing enough? Are we cheering for Scarlett for her benefit, or for ours? Do we want her to win for the sake of her happiness, or for our own satisfaction?
If we truly give a damn about Sasha not as a player, but as a person, then let's not focus on: "wahhh she lost 3-0 against one of the best players in the world". Instead, take on the attitude of: "hey, she won a cool 10k and that's a lot of spicy chicken". I'm not suggesting we should join hands and sing Kumbaya when she takes a loss, but let's keep things in perspective. End of the day, if she's happy doing what she's doing, and she's able to look forward to and plan for her future, then that's the most important thing.

Just gonna throw this in here. Coldzera is well, a bad first round opponent, but maybe we can make it close
Also she's playing in a showmatch a little bit later today

Those Twitch Rivals showmatches flew under my radar until about 5 minutes ago. Were they announced anywhere? Maybe I'm just too busy with real life this month.
Also: Coldezra who?

Scarlett beat Special 2-1 and won $2000

Twitch Rivals definitely could have been better promoted I think. The overall schedule was posted in advance, but the specific players weren't announced and there were no posts on Reddit or TL, just tweets from Twitch Esports and BTTV.
