Without her post i would be totally satisfied with the result and the matches she played, cuz the games where close and Canada played against one of the toughest opponents ("forgetting" banelingspeed is unfortunate but can happen). Well, not having your own gear handy also can happen and if she had real worries 'bout that before the acematch, HuK or Desrow could've played instead. But saying that she commentated the game while playing could be pretty disappointing for all the fans cheering for her but even more important for the team and herself! While it may not affect anybody in the same way, its still save to say that it is a distraction (and absolute unnecessary). Lowering the chances of winning by such a avoidable act is annoying cuz it destroys all the effort and the hard work she put in, to prepare for the matches. That the games where that close regardless even makes it more annoying cuz it amplifies the "what if"- factor. Its never satisfying when you know you weren't doing your best if you easely could've avoid that. But thats just a opinion and i might be wrong. | ||

I think she played pretty well considering, she took some solid maps, obviously she got a bit outclassed by Mlord, perhaps HuK would have been smarter choice for ace, but overall a decent performance. I am really happy she is back to playing at least for a little while, with the new WCS system hopefully she can get some solid results, maybe that elusive tournament victory | ||

Well i didn't know that some of your post was related to reddit comments but that isn't that relevant cuz it doesn't changes anything of what i wrote in my previous two posts in this FC, just was confused about the voting part. Yes i don't know exactly if she did play her games at 100% or not thats why i wrote "it could be dissapointing" and that it's just my opinion. Also i was a quiete a bit prejudiced cuz she said something similar on TL when she was playing a qualifier for WCS season 3 at HSCXI, where she didn't had the intension to play in premier due to her hospitalisation but still played the qualifier. She said smth. like "i was talking to people" as she quoted a post regarding to a game she lost. Ofc this has absolute nothing to do with any games she played for NW3, but yeah it still influenced my reaction. I said that before i have no doubt that she did her very best in preparation for the series against France. And yeah saying she was'n taking the games itself seriously enough by commentating her games was exaggerated but i still think that nobody should do that in the later stages of bigger tournaments. And i mean that its very likely that this will influence nearly everyones gameplay at least slightly negatively (what doesn't necessarely mean that it has inpact on someones mindset, there i was wrong). But when Scarlett mentions something like this while she's explaining why she lost a game its not that surprising that a reaction like mine comes out what doesn't mean that have to be right with all what i'm saying. Edit: Besides this sentence i will ignore your last passage cuz (hopefully) it has nothing to do with anything i said. Anyway enough critisism n' stuff and since i don't want to start a new post (i'm allready posting far too much here...) i wan't to misuse this quote for a short shoutout to her (again just my opinion). I really like it that she's playing so much on the NA server atm. It might not be the most ideal training for her (she should be experienced enough to get the most out of it) but it surely helps the more unexperienced players in her region. If just more of the better players from NA and LA (like Kelazhur for example) would start to play more in their region again the NA ladder wouldn't be such a "mess". | ||
