On the other hand, it *is* kinda flattering? I mean, they wouldn't ask you out if they didn't think highly of you in some way. :-)

There's so much that's challenging about being a girl gamer in a scene full of teenage boys that people don't realize. On the other hand, it *is* kinda flattering? I mean, they wouldn't ask you out if they didn't think highly of you in some way. :-) i mean most of the time its super uncomfortable - like they sit down next to you and dont leave when you say no; just keep trying until you walk away.. its especially bad in toronto events cuz i actually live near there so i get asked quite a bit .. i spent most of the time with friends last weekend so i wasnt really approachable but then its kinda awkward for fans who just want pic/autograph or quick chat and anyway still ended up happening like; if you really like someone dont put them in a situation like that (and do you really think if you're a fan of someone and just met theyd agree to go out with you ---??) kinda like catcalling in a way (ppl think its flattering but its just ;x)

I'm queer and Asian, and whenever I travel anywhere that's not west coast NA, I get plenty of "hello my pretty little Asian boy" come-ons from creepy white men. And it's especially awkward in places where I can't easily get away, like a small bar. Eventually, I just learned to be very clear and politely say "thanks, but I'm not interested" and then walk away without worrying about coming across as a bitch. But to put it in perspective, I'm sure a lot of the guys who hit on you have zero social skills, and have no idea what it means to actually like someone. Most of them probably just really admire your play, think you're attractive, and are trying to express it in the only way they know how. This isn't to excuse their behavior, but it might help you deal with it more effectively if you can see where they're coming from.

yea all it took was thousands of hours abusing protoss on ladder, most of the real players to retire / take a break, an extremely favorable bracket and his coin flip 50 / 50 builds to make him 2k. showing all the protoss abusers / all in ladder heros that if u abuse the crap outta something long enough u will get your very small moment in the light ![]() all tho i'm a little disappointed in puck not putting him out tbh even with the 50 - 50ness of PVP, state gets a pass cos i think hes dealing with ping from korea (unless i'm mistaken) oh and i'm ok with being used in her vampire army i just want a position of power when she rules the world ![]()
