You did the right choice, Scarlett Until september 2016 the most exciting player is back! Holy sh!t, im hyped and happy!! September 2016? I thought "next year" would be September 2015 ah, maybe - if she meant "next [academic] year" then you're right Its almost certainly what she meant, as right around now is when you want to start throwing in applications to Uni's (which reminds me, I need to get on that :D )
What are you interested in studying, SGTK?

I'm not totally sure yet. I'm very heavily leaning towards Engineering, but in what field exactly I have no idea. It'll be a struggle, I know I have the brains for it but it's about finding the motivation and passion. I want to avoid a repeat of what happened last time I tried Uni, but that's all not really on topic for this thread

Well whatever you choose, I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks broseph, you too.
Back on topic... you gonna be in WCS Scarlett? Shit starts tomorrow.

i'm curious if she will still play any SC2 at a competitive level while at uni i.e WCS or even some random online tournaments or if it would even be possible
|
dang wcs season 2 starts already? prolly a little to early for Scarlett to get back into tournament form maybe season 3.

well she likes it when the pressure is off so it will help her altho 7 players from AM Qualifiers into challenger then a week to train for the player u get placed against i don't see why not

But if she will still feel the urge to compete then that would be great.
The challenge is to convince the teachers that WCS is important

It's not that hard to get a few days off if you prove it's for a legit cause.
That said, it definitely does slow you down and also some programs do have caps on how many absences you can have, even if they're excused.

It depends on the course load that she chooses to take. She could always do part time, and many programming classes can be done remotely.
In my opinion, this is a great decision, even for a player's longevity in esports. It's hard to do just one thing all day long. Uni will offer a chance to pursue different goals, and offer some life balance to her SC2 practice. Minigun himself said that his play improved when he started college, because he looked forward to practicing after he finished his schoolwork.

Welmu, who also is a uni student, says something similar: that he would'nt be as good as he is if all he had to focus on all day was SC2.

In a way same goes for polt, although I personally preferred him and his play prior to moving to Texas, he has def been successful since

I hope she practiced a lot the past few days, most of the other big NA players are already in Challenger but Jaedong and Stardust have signed up too.
