Ya, that is weird isn't it? Perhaps the internet thing was an excuse... Maybe Scarlett never really liked SC2 and was really playing dota all along /s I'm disappointed that she doesn't seem to be focusing at least on her challenger match.

It's also pretty disrespecting to her opponent no..? :/

I'm not trying to stop her, but I can say I'm a little disappointed, can't I? This feels to me very much like Naniwa tweeting about playing League the night before he forfeited against Polt. I don't like Naniwa for reasons like that, and I'm really not liking that she's turning into him recently.

you can say you are disappointed to see her playing dota2 instead of sc2, yes. but that she's disrespectful to her fans? it's not like she owes you anything. And actually, some of her fan asked her to stream dota2, so those fans are happy to see that.
and disrespecting her challenger opponent? I bet he must be happy to see that she's not practicing sc2 and don't really care about what you call "respect" here

No one's saying that she can't stream DotA, but she rarely ever streamed Starcraft because her internet was supposedly too poor. So it's a bit strange to see her stream DotA, unless DotA has lower bandwidth requirements. This is like your boyfriend canceling a date with you because he's sick, and then you see him at the movies with your best friend.

sushhh she is streaming, that's all that matters! more scarlett moree
She said she won't stream SC because it was counter productive to her practising

It's uncommon for players to stream SC2 when they're preparing for a match, especially for WCS, so it's understandable that she wouldn't be streaming leading up to her challenger match with Astrea.

The thing is that some people sound a little more than just dissapointed.

It's disrespectful given the context. If she wasn't retiring soon and this was just any old day, I wouldn't give a shit that she's streaming some Dota. Some fans have been asking her to do so for a while and she never did before either. So now, when she potentially has 1 important match left in less than a week she's gonna start?
And obviously she doesn't owe me anything directly, but her starcraft fans as a whole are the reason she ever had a career to begin with, and the fans are the reason the scene exists at all. Respect between someone and there fans should be mutual, and we both get something out of it.

Well, STGK has always been over-invested, so it's nothing new. :D

She's playing a game she enjoys and may stream in the future casually. On the other hand she probably wouldn't be inclined to stream sc2 before her wcs match lest astrea can study it

Meh, you're right and I probably am overreacting (what's new?). It is 4 days till the match I guess... but still I think the timing of doing this isn't very good. And as for being over-invested... yes but because I've had such respect for her and a few things she's done recently have made my respect for her wane just a little bit. Not that she or anyone else cares, obviously.

Good fucking Odin and Thor, I can't even come here anymore because of all the pubertal drama and angst. She's playing Dota, so what? I'll happily watch, I like Dota, but even if I didn't I wouldn't mind at all. She doesn't owe any of us a damn thing.

That is what I wanted to say, but you said it so much better!

Couldn't have said better myself.

Sgtk, how about you look at the bright side for a change
She plays something she really enjoys and is trying to improve at it - by how she plays she is very good for how little she played so far - and Nr 2, she streams! Because she knows everyone wants that.
I hope she streams dota close to daily tbh. It's so cool seeing her in a team game guiding the team and all <3

I'd still like to know why she can stream dota but not starcraft, for reasons I mentioned earlier.

Maybe she didn't want to stream SC2 but feels more comfortable just messing around with Dota where people don't expect her to be amazing? I don't even care tbh.
This fanclub has turned into a rather creepy stalkerish mess. Can we ditch the cringeworthy, clingy attitude and just act like adults?
