Scarlett: Would you agree that an oldschool Stephano style is a better approach to the now common TvZ metagame of attacking before baneling speed, and then constant rally/aggression?
Essentially, superfast upgrades with an emphasis on mass zergling count, and constant counter attacks, later backed with infestor support. This way, you are trading minerals for minerals mainly, and the mines friendly fire could even be beneficial to the mass zergling/infestor/upgrades due to friendly fire. You would obviously have to do a lot of ling splits and build a couple more spines to ward off drops. With the new patch, the followup could be fast 3 base buffed ultra + infestors.
The problem with this strat used to be hellbats, but now they require significant upgrades, and an overfocus on hellbats can lead to a sudden weakness to a muta tech switch.
Also, I feel that double spire could also work to counter this sort of play on some larger maps.

I'm possibly guilty of hyperbole, but yes it has been enjoyable seeing such close games. I was tempted to mention the MC/Idra rivalry for comparison but then I remembered that was more MC constantly trolling Idra.

I don't think so. Players in a rivalry should be on a comparable level. The record in the last days says they are but let them play a best of 9 and alive will be outclassed. Not a doubt in my mind.
Beat Maru and MMA then take bomber to the limit, i think her ZvT is pretty top notch. i think JD could use the practice partner more. Maybe acer should pick up Rain next just to facilitate Scarletts training.

I agree. Alive's win during WCS was a result of a planned strategy and then throwing Scarlett off mentally, something he's probably better at than Scarlett because of his more extensive experience in series matches, and his time in Proleague. In terms of just mechanics and straight up macro games, Scarlett is the better player.

lol. The reason I said top quality is because bad protoss is very bad.
Ya man she always catches a lot of respect from the best of the best players. They just realize there is no such thing as an easy game against her when she is playing well. I've become a fan of this guy as well now. Seems like a real class act.
