Or maybe JD just had a pretty good idea about how greedy Scarlett had been playing and responded in a way that would give a 99% chance of him winning.
I find it kinda hilarious that all of you think that the scrub cheeser jd was somehow scared to play a standard macrogame with the superior player/goddess who is known as Scarlett.
Word.
but it's not a shock that fans would react this way. It happens a lot when a fan favourite gets done. Worst were the idra drones that would parrot his nonsense about the perfect macro game, and how he was better at multitasking than the people that would cheese him out.
Complaining about fan favourites getting cheesed out is not new that is for certain. Best of luck to scarlet in the season finals, I personally think you would have done better vs polt (note I cannot prove this ).

Not scared of playing a standard macrogame but definitely scared of losing and that's why he did what he did. Was just a smart move by Jaedong to secure him the win.
Both players are awesome (but let's be honest Scarlett is more awesome). No need for this fan-war going on. Players do what they have to do in order to win.
Oh jeez, it's a fanthread heaven's sake. And being fans we all know what kind of weaknesses Scarlett has, and we've seen her lose series to these kind of things before. Sure it was smart from JD, but I personally just want to see good games, and this wasn't a very good one.

I don't think he was scared. He was just smart enough to avoid macro games when possible. He knew the odds of him winning once the games went on too long would go down substantially against her.
This is not shocking information - its just obvious if you keep up with the scene.

99% chance to win with a 6 pool, yeah sure... No matter how you put it a 6 pool is always a gamble, and yes I think it shows he was getting a bit worried. Still I give credit to jaedong for the win, he had the right instincts but... games like these don't allow players to really showoff their skills that's what's a bit frustrating to me, especially if it's a decisive game. And btw I would never want to call Jd a scrub cheeser, I'm a fan of him as well and I root for him most of the time.
Scarlett has insane mechanics and gameplay that seem to match the top Koreans. I am predicting a 3-0 first place in her group! Did she ever try and play in the gsl? I know she lived in Korea for a while
She was going to try for Code A but she moved to Korea after the WCS changes were announced so there was no point in her trying to play in WCS KR when she was invited to WCS AM premier in season 1.
