This is the fanclub for EGSuppy, currently a college student at UC Berkeley. Although he was well known in the Bay Area and DC communities, Suppy never gained much attention until MLG Spring Championships in Anaheim, where he placed top 32, beating out players such as iNcontroL, SeleCt, Bling, DDE, Tails, Killer, and finally falling to ThorZaIN 2-1. He placed top 16 WCS, and has advanced to WCS Global Finals. He will be participating at MLG Dallas.
He is a great North American player who was largely overshadowed. Hopefully he gets more attention after this event, and I hope he attends many more major live events!
On July 24 2012, Suppy was picked up by Evil Geniuses, making him their most recent acquisition!
Suppy has remained in Premier League throughout the first two seasons of WCS America
Ah Suppy. I remember a great game that he played, casted by HD and Painuser, where he used burrowed roaches to defeat a meching Terran on Xel-Naga Cavern. Great use of hit-and-run. Don't know where the replay or VODs is now, since it was like 10 months ago.
He's such a great player! For those of us who haven't heard he made it the farthest in MLG of all of the American players! He defeated: Tails, EGiNcontroL, SeleCT, GoSuDDE, cvgSasquatch, coLKiller, and dBling. He ultimately fell to EG Thorzain 2-1. All this after finishing finals at UC Berkeley in an incredibly hard major. He's certainly earned a huge fan base with that showing!
SUPPPYYY!!! He's SO GOOD! Be careful though, although he may seems super nice and cuddly when you meet him in real life, this guy is a jerk on bnet! I once saw him 7 pool a bronze in playhem!! All because someone (it may or may not have been me) messaged him and told him to 7 pool.
Please sign me up as well! I was also at MLG Anaheim this weekend and followed Suppy's progress pretty closely, some of the most impressive games in the tournament, in my opinion.
Thank you guys so much for making this, I've always wanted a fan club and I'm so appreciative of everyone who supports me Will try my best not to let you guys down! ^^
And high-five Kiett for our win in MAFIA last night :DDDDDDDDDDD!!!!

LOL. Kiett was soooo dead (asleep) that game. Made it even funnier when her policy kill status suddenly turned into vote-became-super-important status.
this gu played really well, I was following his games since before the tournament. I am really glad he was able to come out and show some great games here >.<

Sign me up! I have the privilege of knowing Conan and I am extremely happy that he was able to show is his potential at this MLG. Also makes me proud to have worn a checksix suppy shirt.
i think this kid is gunna be very good some day, young player has a ton of potential, very happy to hear suppy did well at anaheim! and big thx for hosting my very first DC lan!
Woohoo, sign me up! I'm a lame person who never had time to go to CSL events but I did go to dinner with you guys once and met Suppy, I can't fathom how awesome it is that you can do well in school and also be amazing at Starcraft. Good luck at Raleigh, hope you smash some more nerd faces there! Move over Sheth, Idra, there's a new top American Zerg :D
Wait OMG your TLPD picture, is that really you? Or just a random kid in a wolf costume lol.
I remember commenting in the live thread, asking if anyone knew who he was. him and sanddbox didn't get much attention. glad to see a fanclub for him, he must be quite the talent.

4.0 as a premed student throughout his freshman year at UC Berkeley so far!
Ya, pretty darn good ZvZs that were really close, I uploaded them in a replay pack if you guys would like to check them out (as well as a bunch of other reps). Thanks for following me
Aww, no chance to see a repeat open bracket smash at Raleigh?
Players will not be allowed to play in both Events. So, Players who have already qualified for the NA Continental Finals, like the Players who finished in the top 16 of the USA Nationals in Anaheim, won't be allowed to participate in any MLG Summer Online Qualifiers.

UC Berkeley's CSL team is playing in a bo9 showmatch tomorrow vs UCLA starting at 6 pm PST! The players will be playing live from the Berkeley campus in 174/175 Barrows (including Conan) so if you are in the area come by and watch, eat some pizza, cheer on the team and meet the players! Perfect opportunity to get that Suppy autograph ;D

My (hopeful) prediction for that group:
MC > HerO Suppy < Naama
MC > Naama Suppy > HerO
Suppy > Naama
MC and Suppy advancing to ro8 (I believe!)
Really? Kas better than Naama imo. Naama may be unpredictable but so is Suppy. Naama knows nothing about him. I say :
MC > HerO Suppy > Naama Suppy > MC Hero > Naama MC > HerO
I say Suppy will win cause MC all ins a lot in PvZ, and because I even think that Suppy ZvP is strong enough to beat MC, especially cause it kind of surprises the opponent.

I admit I know nothing of Naama's TvZ, or Kas's for that matter. The games vs Kas weren't shown either so its hard to gauge how much of the victories came from Conan's own play as opposed to Kas's own mistakes (as he admitted to making many in his interview). All I'm going off of is prior knowledge of Conan's ZvT, where even hes admitted it to being his weakest matchup at the moment (granted hes been training in it quite consistently over the past weeks so I'm unsure how much hes improved at it) Thats why I'm a bit more cautious about my prediction with that match ><
As to Conans chances against MC...I wouldn't realistically rate them as too great. This is a guy with a ton of strong 2 base strategies in his pockets, multiple tournament finalist, and hes just got that tournament playing edge that not many other players have. Conan's ZvP is great, but going against the guy who 3-0'd DRG I'm a bit scared o.o
If Suppy can do this with the limited practice he has, it will be truly scary when he's on an equivalent amount of practice as most tournament players.
Great showing for your first EG tournament Conan was fun (yet soooooooooo stressful) watching the series vs HerO! Bodes well for your chances at MLG/WCS in a few weeks!

Shame the school year starts right at the week of MLG Raleigh
Unfortunately, I couldnt catch any of Suppy's games as I had to work, but I was constantly updating twitter to see how he was doing. Im glad he beat some good players and had a great series versus one of the best toss in the world. the future is looking bright!!
Suppy thanks for the good games today dood. Like I said today in the stream, you bring some much needed enjoyment and vitality not only in your personality but also your games. If every stream was as entertaining and filled with good vibes then I'd have a tough time deciding who to watch..... but it'd prolly still be you :3 hahaha
Lets just hope your attitude will continue to reflect the attitudes of those who come to enjoy your stream and cheer for you. Cause right now your chat is by far the chillest and also filled with good vibes. Can't wait for Raleigh!!! GET EM!!!

I'm sorta mad that whenever I lose it gets on front page of Reddit T_T Last NASL Qualifier I rushed back from home back to Berkeley to play on my desktop, and skipped dinner with my parents, and I ended up playing one match against a mid masters. So I thought it'd be worth it this time to just stay home and have dinner with my parents and just play from my laptop. Well with the new patch I ended up getting 45 fps in the start of the game, 20 fps in the midgame, and I think he chose Metropolis game 3 because I told him I was lagging -_-;; On the positive side though, I did learn something regarding scouting in the match and also I got to spend a bit of time with my family, so that was nice ^^
Aww really? Well at least you're really well known (and deservedly as an awesome community guy, no less). At least you're getting recognized keke, and afaik they're not up in arms over you or anything, which is always a good thing. Never know with reddit. Dat metagaming, ouch, but well-played of course

Positive or negative correlation? I can think of a few players who might generate quite a few rage threads from being bad, as well as fantastic players who generate such threads :x
I dunno, always thought Suppy had more of a ring to it than Inffy.

One qualifier is next week, which is MLG Raleigh, then one more qualifier the week after that. Not many chances

Fair enough. Its funny how the metagame on entombed has changed so much.
In any case, I'll be thoroughly on vacation in Seattle during Raleigh. Won't be able to watch, but will be checking twitter results and such. If anything major happens I'll try and edit the OP via smartphone . What are the MLG result twitters?
Yeah, really. He didn't drop a match the entire LAN. (except for one game on ladder where there was lag, he cheesed, failed, then almost won, then had an idiot post replay on twitter (was on EGSuppy account))
Spotlight is a terrible thing to have. Sc2 community is full of really stupid people who talk so much shit about pro players. Suppy is amazing. I thought I was hot shit for a while being a Master P and I played Suppy at a LAN and he made me feel like a no-skill scrub. I couldn't even be mad at him because he was such a nice guy lol. From then on I've been a fan. Sign me up please
Proximity winning. Thanks. Also if you guys want results from open bracket follow @LuckyFoolSC2 . He'll be doing tweeting from open bracket (and will probably give suppy some priority ^_^
So of recent I find myself rarely watching player streams, mostly only opting for streams with casters (even if they're replays, IPL, IEM, TSL, etc). But I start watching your stream, cuz you know, you're boss. And then you simply solidify that by attempting to do the Gangnam Style dance on stream when you have the song/video playing.

Wait is that for the 7th position? Cause atm 1.Scarlett 2.Vibe 3.Insur 4.State 5-8. IdrA/Illusion/Ostojiy/MajOr i assumed losers of the Idra vs Illu/ Osto vs MajOr games would face each other and winner gets the 7th?

Scarlett and ViBE already have direct seeds to WCS Global from winning WCS Canada and WCS USA respectively. 7 other people need to earn the seeds from this WCS NA. Hence the playoff for 9th place
Although people keep talking about his injects, Suppy didn't have the money to reinforce, rather than larvae. Idra killing that fourth and a lot of drones really kept Suppy from building a bank to remax on.
That's more like it. Seems like Huk still has no answer for Suppy. Pretty much saw a near identical game between them on stream before with Suppy's 3rd getting taken out, into him coming back into the game with mass infestor play to counter zealot/archon.

Achilles – Suppy had a pretty good weekend with a few solid wins. What are your thoughts on his joining the team, and what does he add to the roster?
IdrA - Enthusiasm. He’s actually too goddam happy. It makes me feel like a grumpy old man. He celebrates and jumps around after a map win, it’s really cute. He’s also an incredibly good player and the thing that impresses me most is the rate of his improvement. He’s gone from someone that no one ever heard of to a legitimate competitor in international tournaments practically overnight. He also plays in a very respectable way. He’s a great addition.

My favorite part is "he plays in a very respectable way"
Does anyone know what graphics settings suppy uses? I Noticed on his stream he has the pre-1.5 creep, the grey coloured creep (Looks amazing compared to the new darker creep IMO).
Add me please Between his strong, consistent results, his great interviews and positive image, his trying to balance academia and progaming, and even his being on EG... I've become a fan of his
Just saw this guy beat Comm at WCS, sign me up! And I've generally been impressed with him for some time now. It's also impressive to see someone manage academics and progaming, and still find success in both.

This is why Suppy is so admirable. He somehow manages to maintain his academic pursuit (in one of the hardest majors at one of the best schools in the US, mind you) while playing at a level comparable to that of Korean pros who practice upwards of 15 hours a day.
Browsed through youtube and found this incredibly adorable video of Suppy!! Not sure if anyone has seen this before but I guess its worth sharing. Amazing how this student has already been contributing to the SC community since couple years ago and it feels so good to see him breaking through!
Imagine what this little kid in the video would think when he sees a future-self playing on live stage in the game he loves the most.

He should be. PartinG has no respect for his opponents; as far as I can tell from the interview, PartinG looks down upon foreigners, his teammates who came from ZeNEX...the list goes on. The accusation of cheating was probably what tipped Suppy over the edge.
Well, on one hand I completely sympathize with Suppy's reaction and on the other I agree with all the posts pointing out PartinG's well-established public persona, as well as potentially misleading translations.
Anyway, Suppy did amazingly well in BWC and I'm proud to be a fan of his. He's a really nice guy who deserves success.
That's the sort of game where you would have forgiven him for gging quite a lot earlier, when he was down on supply, had lost 2 bases, and his opponent had a 5k+ bank.
Crazy that he managed to win, and crazier that he had the mentality to stay in it.
On May 07 2013 08:10 Hellboy.100 wrote: If Idra had such mentality, that would be just great...
I think this was the greatest comeback and the greatest thrown away game at the same time :D
IdrA would have left after the mine killed all those banelings. But it wouldnt be that simple, he would have to say something along the lines of "You are terrible, i hope you get cancer for playing this race".
I honestly thought Heart and Ryung would advance no problem, but holy crap was I wrong. Suppy played really well overall, but I think the crowning achievement of the night was game 2 vs Heart. He was down almost 50 supply or something, dragged out the game into a 20-minute semi-base trade which he won. Can't remember the last time I saw another Zerg do anything similar.
