Seed takes second in the TSL4 qualifier, losing to curious 3-2 really great run though and he got a lot of qualifier points, if he makes another good run in a qualifier he should make it in on points for sure.
sign me up, Seeker. I expect big things from this player, such creative thoughtful play, a true inspiration to watch as a Protoss player. And such class signing up to TeamLiquid to thank us.

Yeah I saw those replays from the TSL qualifier I think it is, I just brought it up because I just saw him use it on stream vs a Zerg on Cloud Kingdom and it worked really well.

I thought they said 'forcefield fiend'? Anyway, IllusionToss / The Illusionist Protoss is a much better name for him IMHO
Sign me up please, this guy is a total boss. I was rooting for Symbol and you can all say I am just hoping on the band wagon, but his play was actually incredible.
My favourite Protoss player, because he actually thinks and does stuff right.
Adapted to ByuN's playstyle perfectly.
Also a scary fact about IM: they have made it to the GSL finals 11 times out of 15 tournaments total (inclusive of WC and ST, but excluding Blizz Cup).
Got his work cut out for him in finals, but to be honest I'm super glad he made it this far. Even as a fan it's more than I expected, but it appears comebacks are his specialty.
I must admit I'll be rooting for MC in the finals (hard when you're a fan of both players, but I've been an MC fan way longer than a Seed fan so I feel that rooting for MC is justified), but if Seed wins, it'll be one of the best dark horse victories ever.
Seed) Ah... The Protoss' power comes from Immortals. And Immortal's are sagi* (Fraud, IMBA). I don't say other things are sagi, but I think Immortals are sagi. This is my heartfelt confession. Immortals are sagi. (points finger at camera)
OMG! I have been a casual fan of other players, but this is guy is my definite favorite! A really smart and strong-willed protoss and a very funny personality! Sign me up! :D
T^T So happy... Greatest underdog story in the GSL so far I'd say. Beat some of the most hyped players to get to the final and to win it vs the incumbent Protoss president! SEED!!!
Congrats Seed! Didn't expect you to beat MC, but as a fan of both I was to be happy either way.
I was actually somewhat moved by the moment where the confident Seed won and just sat there with his eyes closed in reflection. I found that super touching.
"And some Players play just to win money, but myself, I play because I enjoy it." -Seed That right there, sign me up, I just have gotten a lot more respect for this man.
I'm not really a fan of Seed yet (he beat Byun T;T) but I was sure that he would win (liquidbetted him ) and was very happy to see him do so well against MC!

I think most people watch player streams for entertainment and not as much for the games, they watch tournaments for the games. If you have a big personality with a webcam and mic streaming they are going to get the most viewers.
Anyway he got about 1300~ or so near the end so that's pretty good :D

Seed is pretty damn bawler. I remember thinking there was a good chance that he'd win GSL when he took out Symbol. He's got nerves of steel. Beating HerO and Taeja tonight, when it really mattered, supports that sentiment.
He was so cute waving the flag although I was forused more at that moment on how Nestea was evaluating the trophy and then they just kinda passed it around like whatever whatever we don't need another one of these.
My fav Seed moments were his little warcry when he was sure Hero was dead and then later when he was sitting with the team and then the camera centered on him and he pointed to the team logo then his GSL champion pin. He's got so much confidence mixed with Charm it's hard not to love him.

The lighting changed right as the photo was taken so it made Seed's face/neck look kind of weird, haha. I think the purple-ish overhead light was in the process of passing over him.

O_O You are a veeery lucky guy. And Seed is sooo handsome <3. Although he ruthlessly killed my two most favorites player in the TAC final, his play and ceremonies still inspire me.
i want to be in this fanclub , he is my favorite protoss . i am a terran and i really like his attitude , seeing him mocking is opponent in the final was the icing on the cake ! Cry Hero .. Seed is da MAN!
Seed looks so good waving the flag and posing with it ^-^. I wonder if he gets a share of the 9k IM won or if it just becomes team money and is used to improve stuff in the teamhouse and whatnot.
Wow congrats Seed I didn't think you were going to be able to win against Gumibear with the jet lag considering it was your first time traveling internationally!
Seed has also made his way into the ro32 of the FXO invitational 6 beating Fxowhale and quantic illusion (nice hallucination play in game 2) in the ro64 group stage. . No idea who he plays in ro32, as they haven't updated the bracket on liquipedia.
Winning a GSL? Good but not good enough to turn me into a fan. Coming back from a long travel and beat an GSTL allkill wonder? The personality of Seed combined with his play style yields in an irresistible thing.
imagine if seed just win ipl tac for im, fly to korea to win his match in wcs then immediately fly to germany to smash everyone at iem lol thats probably too much for him

The thing that impresses me so much is how passive Seed plays sometimes, it means he has confidence going into a late game PvZ. Most Protoss try to do a 3 base timing before Brood Lords but Seed just gets his Mothership out quickly.
You guys should check out Seed's second game against Illusion in the FXOpen Invitational. Some fun hallucination usage there. I'd love to see Seed hallucinate HTs with his real HTs and have his opponent spend snipes/EMPs on the hallucinations xD

You keep saying that but Taeja's still not on IM
But Mvp is.
He's got a point. At IPL TAC Mvp's team really handed it Taeja, beating him 1-7.

Taeja has the best ELO right now of anyone. But he needs to win when it counts more I think to be held on the same level as MVP. Stats aren't everything.

It's a pity he's not the best Terran atm though :\
I hadn't Seed on the radar until he got the semi finals. I admit if, Seed was a cheesy toss for me who had a lot of luck. But he didn't just won the GSL. He plays great games and wins because of his skill. The WCS series versus Polt game 1 – one of the many examples of a game Seed should have lost but he doesn't follow common wisdom.
He comes back when he needs to. He makes it work. He is able to win games when it matters and does it with style.
In my opinion, both Mvp and Taeja have not yet proved that either of them are the current best Terran. Yes, Taeja destroyed in the IPL TAC and has probably posted other results that I haven't seen but I am not convinced that he is the best terran yet. Mvp recently won IEM but that also does not prove that he is the best either =X.

Seed's games against ByuN in the semis were really good and I don't deny that Seed has amazing PvT, but the finals was just cheese after cheese coming out of him. There was no style from either side in that finals. Simply put the finals was just a bad series to watch. I'm not entirely convinced about Seed's vP, but his vT is pretty beastly.

Seed did what it took to win. He mindgamed MC enough to win the tournament. The game themselves were not too great, but the series (considering the story line and the mindgames of both players) was enjoyable.
Since MC cheesed White-Ra in the deciding game some time ago, I am happy every time MC gets a shot of his own medicine.
We forgive our HoneyBee! Still the best 'Toss there is, Parting just had a good day and happened to have the BO advantage in both games. Sign me up for the fan club!
Seed will likely bounce back from this without much trouble, he looked stressed in the booth but I don't think he has the same idk intensity to his need to win like other players. I think I worry more about how the korean netizens are going to lay into him for losing than I do about him mentally beating himself up or someting That said he'd better not start slacking or First and Yonghwa will try and steal his spot as IM's best protoss ^-^.
Watching the round of 32 this season, I realised that Seed has become my favourite player, and I literally jumped out of my chair when he managed to advance as the first person this season.
I think his group in the round of 16 is very doable. Can't wait to see the rematch vs symbol. There is a tournament today which seed will be playing that organized by kespa but I can't find a stream T_T.
BTW seeker sick job doing all the interview tl should give you a contributor badge or something
As a Zerg player, Seed makes me rage just watching him play--and that's a compliment. Warp prism drop in the main spotted by an overlord? Just sit on 2 base chronoing out 4 immortals, then take a third and easily win. No problem.
So unfortunate.... code s just got less interesting for me. Oh well I still have jyp to cheer for As for seed he will be even stronger in wcs Asia and I have no doubt that he will be able to get a seed for the global final
Anyone else see a problem with the GSL format? Seed and Symbol went 3-3 yesterday, but because Seed won the first set he got to play the better player between Life and Happy.

I don't see any problem. Life also had to play the better player between Seed and Symbol. I'm really sad that Seed didn't make it out, but the format isn't anything to blame IMO.

Huh, glad I'm not the only person who thinks this. I think Seed has to be considered evenly matched against Life, while Creator should be favoured against him. I'm expecting at least one of them to win over Life, would really surprise me if Life beats both.
I secretly believe Life has ZvP issues. :p He's such a good player that naturally he'll beat a lot of protoss, but I think really strong protoss with specific styles will do really well against him. And since Life vs Seed is the first match, Seed will probably prepare a bit, while I think Life isn't very interested in preparation. I also think it being online will strengthen Seed and Creator (They are the ones who may get nervous in the booth, Life himself doesn't seem to suffer from booth anxiety to a very great extent, while Creator definitely is a different beast online, and I'd say the same for Seed (Though he's not specifically nervous, his play offline differs from online play)).

Just saying those 3(Life,Taeja and Creator) made their names on an online environment especially on ESV Korean Weekly and other online events(TSL,etc) before they went on to performed successfully on a offline environment.
Well at least getting knocked into Code B hasn't killed his passion for ceremonies, I have more confidence in his return now. His game vs Lucifron was what I would come to expect from his PvT, a very well played game.

Well, he bombed out of Iron Squid. Losing 1-2 to Life isn't a big deal but 0-2 to Kas is frankly horrible, I wonder how long ago those games were played. Gotta train harder, not expecting a great result for GSL tour at this point.

Yeah, I don't expect him to take the Grand Tour, but I hope that he puts up a good fight, as he used to during his peak. Plus, he's got about more than a week to prepare. So, he can advance from his group, although the odds are heavily against him (with really good zergs such as Life, Leenock and Sniper, very strong protosses such as Hero and Parting, and MVP).

You can do it Seed. Your play has always been pretty intelligent, and you usually show us some cool builds in the GSL. I know you've got it in you to pull out some awesome builds again. All you need is a little more practice methinks
