Welcome to the fanclub of Pedro "LucifroN" Moreno Durán, a Terran StarCraft 2 player from Barcelona, Spain, currently playing for mousesports.
He first entered the e-sports scene as a Warcraft 3 professional as an Orc player and went on to collect win several championships such as ESWC Asia Masters of Cheonan and placed highly at many others. His SC2 career started in the early beta where he achieved success, placing 1st in the ESL TV Pro Invite, defeating DIMAGA, HasuObs, Nazgul, and NightEnD along the way. Though he was performing well in the beta, he stopped playing to focus on his university studies in computer science.
He returned to Starcraft 2 after launch, joining Fnatic and then moving to Aprender, where he again took a hiatus due to his studies. Upon his return, he joined Karont3 e-Sports alongside his brothers Ryo and VortiX. Since then, he placed 1st at the Gathering 2012, WCS Spain, 3rd at WCS Europe as well as taking first in many other online events.
He has decided to play SC2 full-time in 2013 and has been a fixture in the EU scene ever since. Upon the closure of K3's SC2 division, he moved to mousesports with VortiX, who also plans to go fulltime.
Thank you to JayJay_90 who started the fanclub and Karont3 for helping with the OP! If anyone wants to help out with more content, please do so, it's much appreciated!
There was a hilarious game of him vs Dowaq back in the wc3 days where he had a +60 blademaster. or something. Crazy shit. Glad to see him kick ass in sc2. Sign me up.
Wow, he had a sloppy game once or twice in this tournament but then he was so solid! beating thorzain 4-0 is an accomplishment, and it seemed like he knew his opponents very well too.
This guys is just brutally good. If you just look at his army movements its...its insane at times. Probably the best micro of any Europeans (Yes I truly believe this).
I remember seeing Lucifron in wc3. Cool to have him doing well in sc2 as well. Too bad he had to smash my favorite player. Maybe next time Thorzain won't think Lucifron is the underdog (I'm just guessing). He played incredibly solid. Good work Lucifron!

Been a big fan since 09, sign me the hell up!
in his stream he say sometimes that he think Happy has the best micro in EU actually, but ofc he have insane micro he is so humble ^^
Been a fan since WC3 and have been trying to tell people for aaaaaaaaaaaaages that he was one of if not THE most talented player in Europe, finally people take notice ^_^. Sign me up!!!
Also small sidenote, i think Happy has slightly better micro than Luci but they are the top two for sure
He isn't necessarily better than Thorzain just because of his 4-0 against him. I'd think that means Lucifron has the best TvT in Europe though. Such insane micro and multitask, and some nice decision making as well. Is his studies finished, by the way?

i'm fan of the most scary terran in europe every hollydays this is so bad he can only play when he doesn't work and he's still dominating every times he comes back !!
In my opinion he's is the most talented player in the foreign scene with Stephano and Nerchio, he just cannot play as much as the other pros.
and i was talking with lucifron about streaming 2.0 with cam and micro and he said that he havent cam but i will think about it(he is a bit shy ) and maybe he stream now
Lucifron is the next Stephano. He is done with school now. I gaurentee you he is the next big star! He is so amasing im so impressed watching his stream
Really liked lucifron even back in the day in wc3.^^
Great to see him finally show his potential in sc2, he is one of the most talented rts-players out there. He looked like a code s terran in the games today.
Wow this guy really really impressed me, better control with his early game units than most and the first 2 games of the semis where amazingly interesting to watch - unlike many other games nowadays. Lucifron practice even harder !!!
Great run yesterday, sad he didn't get the win vs Stephano but hopefully he can recover and do well today! Good news is he already secured himself a ticket to the world finals
Whoah.. European terran hope! Yesterday games against Stephano were amazing hope we will see it again in finals! Will be intresting to see Lucifron vs Vortix i missed spain games, But both of them have really cool style so i think we will see great games. And also they are brothers and play in same team so they must train alot with each other so there might be some mind games.
i remember this kid being what 15 or 16 and beating Happy and Sonkie and almost Lyn at blizzcon 2008... this guy has real RTS talent. Sign me up big fan !

Terran King.
Wow, excuse me the term but what a rape o_o. I remember being so happy to be put against him on ladder, because he was retired and that meant he might be returning to the pro scene soon. One week later (he had like top master MMR when I was against him) he was #1 GM europe lol. Two or three weeks after he made a splash winning The Gathering (with a win 2-0 against MorroW who was in korea right before the tournament lol...).
Impressive play against Nerchio (3-1 him in the MSI procup qualifier, qualifying for the final and the international stage). Sign me up, this guy understands how to play terran!
man but if someone can take a deciding fight bad, then its lucifron ^^ He plays so well against stephano but in the deciding fights he just messes everything up! Still i am amazed by his play!
I hope Luci wins today and the upcoming WCS.. Only 4 terran (and 13 protoss, 15 zerg). That tells us that Luci is one of the 4 best terrans in the world xD
one of the most underrated players in sc2. when i watch this guy stream i litterately have to clean up my brain off the wall after each game. Sick terran and sick talent. Viva La Spain!

Yeah, It was suspicius that they changed the looser bracket MUs up to 4 times... but they getting to the main stage just confirmed what I supposed. They arranged it because for some reason, it attracts viewers.
Luci beats Goswser 2-0 again after losing 1-2 to Hyun. He advances to the semifinals and will play Scarlett. Not sure when that'll be played, not today, that's for sure.
I just don't see luci losing anything, he just seems to be able to detach himself from emotional aspect of the game and play his best. If he never slacks in practice due to his success I can easily see him taking many major tournaments this year
The best thing is that this is a build (metagame) created by Lucifron himself. When everyone stopped using hellbat drops after the nerf (from 4 to 2 cargo space), Lucifron found a way. He always finds a way.
So is the Ro8 randomly drawn? Knowing Lucifron's luck I bet he will draw ForGG, who he can beat. they typically trade games all the time on ladder.. but probably will be his hardest opponent due to forgg's super strong tvt.
Yeah hes definitely the best foreigner right now. I just hope he doesnt get forgg in ro8, regardless of opponent though i think he has a really good chance to go very deep in this tournament. LucifroN fighting ~
I thought Lucifron was full time since the beginning of 2012 but on Meta Artosis claimed he was full time only since a couple of months? Can you guys clear that up for me?

Definitely not the beginning of 2012, was still going to school throughout most of 2012 I think, although he eventually started to play a fair bit more during 2012, where as he would just disappear in 2011 whenever he wasn't on holidays.
It`s also very hard to determine when someone really plays fulltime. If I remember correctly Luci always had played a lot of Ladder games after his comeback. So maybe his focus was already mostly on SC2 while being a student.

Well now that mystery is solved. He says that he started to play fulltime at the beginning of 2013 in mouz announcement.
LucifroN was fantastic in DH, but I think he had bad luck too, but I know that he is going to do a very important position in the RSL, we must trust him!, Cheer Luci from Spain!!!!

He went full time around February 2013 from what I know. Definitely not in 2012.
Good result at DreamHack, I'm happy he finally went through to the bracket at least! Shame he met the player with the best ZvT at that day, I hope he gets some more practice in against the style of counterattacking Zerg Jaedong used. If he had defended the counters better (which he absolutely had the opportunity to) I think he would have been able to win the series.
I've been following Luci since 2007 back in WC3 when he started playing and becoming the best Spanish player, placing high in his first tournaments (1st in ESWC Spain Qualifier, 3rd in Blizzcon European Qualifier and 2nd in Blizzcon Finals). I've been cheering for him through all his career and I've trully enjoyed all his success and accomplishments. I strongly believe he achieved -in his prime- like top 3-5 in the world, alongside Lyn, Moon, Grubby and Sky, and I'm one of those who has always believed that Pedro has true talent to become the best in the world, even in SC2, as long as he puts enough time and effort, which is doing now.
curious if lucifron is back? on the current eu ladder there's a player named "lucifron" gm rank 14 currently with 160 wins and 34 losses, is it real? can someone probably confirm or disprove it?

It's Kas. Kane's been posting screenshots of their matches on EU ladder ahead of the showmatch they're having.
