That was back in bw 4-5 years ago? And he was forgiven by TL his stream is actually amazing. Especially if he commentates games because he knows what he's doing.
This guy just talked about propper build orders and counters in Mech TvZ as if it were actually something people did. He's got this shit figured out brah. Bigtime.
edit: ugh. Now I'm regretting not playing him. Thanks for the oppertunity though Love your stream !
Great stream. A LOT more informative than most other Terran streams. LS has a really scientific way of looking at SC and you can tell he's been training with Koreans and not foreigners. If you like the way Demuslim commentates his games, this is another great stream with great commentary.
Edit: What's with the sudden burst of interested? I've followed LS for a while, but it seems like people finally realized he's good. Best kept secret player no longer so secret.
Day9 did a daily on him and then linked his stream... lol Ls went from 25 to 700 viewers... Some fizzled out but here 4hrs after he still has 400! :D. Yay!

He wasn't really known by fans/stream watchers before day9 did a daily on him so SHABAM everyone's interested not only that his play is pretty sick good @_@
Please add me to the list! Glad LS is finally getting some of the recognition he deserves, hes a great player with a great attitude toward the professional aspects of the game and also is super manner to his fans

I've really enjoyed his vlogs he had. He really helped me understand the TvP matchup. I'm glad he is going to start streaming regularly. I'll have it on everyday here at work
I've only been into SC for about 2 years but seriously who is this guy and why have I never heard about him? It seems like he played in the same team as Day9 in BW? [9]? Also is he part of the Shield clan at the moment? Cause I saw he was nicking something with Shield.
Sorry for my lack of knowledge, just curious to why I haven't heard about this guy, ever.
Also I don't want to get signed for the fanclub would just like some info, thanks!

I don't know if he was on the same team as Day, but you've probably never heard of him because he was banned from TL for 3 years due to producing rigged maps that made his unit production faster than his opponents. After that he's obviously reworked his entire image and is today a very hardworking SC-player. And yes, he is currently part of Shield.
Sign me up. I know he has a shady past, but he seems sincere in wanting to fix that. His commentary on stream is probably the best I have seen for Terran.
Really enjoyed watching his stream last night (even with the Koreans seemingly having what sounded like a party behind him). Very informative breaking down the build he was doing each game.

He used to be a pro bw player just like Day9, known as ajtls. Almost five years ago, so when was like 14, he got caught rigging two or so maps, was banned from tl and all, but hes now been forgiven and theres no grudge or anything, but theres still a bunch of people who give him shit for it. And [9] is not a team its simply part of his id. Yes, hes part of the shield clan now. Shield is an old school clan from broodwar, a lot of today's star players in sc2, like MKP, used to be on it.

Ok thanks Harrad and KvltMan.
I just thought I head sometime that Day9 kept that 9 in his nick even though it was from his old BW team. : ) but ok thanks for clearing things up, definitely seems like a interesting player, despite playing terran. ^^
Love watching this guy play. He's the sort of dedicated gamer that it's easy to follow and get excited about. His play is actually inspiring: You watch his games and you just want to get better and practice a helluva lot.
Been following him ever since he started streaming. You should also add that he's in the old brood war team Shield. Also this guy spits out so much knowledge when streaming, it blows me away.
I freakin love Lastshadow and his stream and i don't even main Terran. So informative regardless, hope he get's featured soon. the amount of high level content (vlogs about strategy, reliable streams, etc) he is putting out for the community right now should be recognized.
with me being 17, he's kind of an "inspiration". what I would give to live in korea and play starcraft full time (the thought of a PC cafe at every corner in Seoul gives me nerd chills).. and not to mention he is going to be GM on the KR ladder this season which is auto- better than 95% of NA players

You mean 99.98% of NA players?
Who knows maybe the NA has more Scarlette players than we give it credit
LastShadow is beast mode. If he actually gets a team that can send him to foreign tournaments he will smash face and compete with Idra & Sheth for best American SC2 player.
Read Life in Korea Part 3 and it was a very interesting read. Heard about his 6Rax opening as well! I wonder if Terrans are doing in the ladder now (Master League) Guess I'll never know... All I do is stim!
I don't know what it is about your stream, but I really enjoy watching it. I think your analysis and commentary is some of the best out there! Good luck, and keep up the good work!
Sign me up. Watching his streams has really helped me beat protoss; I no longer have to all-in, as I now feel comfortable in macro games, as well as being aggressive early on. :D
Man his last stream was kinda heartbreaking, he really really really wanted GM, don't think he got it despite beating some top GM players. Looked pretty shattered at the end of it.

But the reason I'm here is to celebrate that he fixed his volume. I didn't dig his stream too much before since the keyboard was just so bloody loud over his voice. But its better now !

Heh yeah I saw that. I'm pretty sure ajtls isn't a word that can be pronounced or nothing. I've heard what it is like 2 years ago (probably around his MLG run) but damned if I remember. I have to imagine the ls at the end is Lastshadow. And call me crazy but for some reason I want to say ajt was a girlfriend's initials. >_>

I second that, i've been watching this guy since I saw vlog #7. You are most definately aware of this Nick but it is worth reitterating. The real reason that a lot of us watch you is that we value the unique and apparent honest perspective that you deliver on a life style situation and a product that a lot of us would give our back teeth to emulate. We also emulate the feelings and attitude you have towards any of your hiderances (physical or otherwise) to the magnitude in which you have presented them.
Hopefully this carries over how concerned people are about your recent announcements and will emplore you to inform us as to the nature of them sooner rather than later.
Ls mentioned "Bad news" in stream chat last night, anyone caught what that was all about? Hope it's nothing serious, I really love his style of play and the vlogs he makes. He is a huge asset to improving my own play.
LS such a baller. Day9 asks him for some cool replays and instead of linking him to his recent replay pack, he just plays a bunch of games and then sends them over :D

Lastshadow isn't in Code A. The best place to watch his games is probably his stream. He was featured in a couple Day 9 dailies which you could also watch. Also Husky cast a few of his replays over at his youtube.
I wouldn't join FXO really nothing personal, I just don't really like the atmosphere of the playstyles / I've had bad experiences(albeit a long time ago) with some of the management/players. I'm friendly with some of them though, they're great players, but I wouldn't want to join, even if not for these past things.
Scarlett and LS playing 2v2 both as zerg. Scarlett just asked when the 222 game marathon is and LS said he thinks in 2 weeks for "reasons he can't say on stream." And then he switched to a black screen. Signed by a team maybe? Hopefully.
So psyched he's gonna be at battlegrounds, but he has like the worst group possible. Hope he can find a way to beat parting's PvT and Ret's ZvT. It's gonna be a tough one.

Yeah spamming isnt always bad. Keeps you moving fast so you can quickly do these things. It's alot harder to play slow and then start having to do things fast when the game gets more intense.

You can't talk about him like that.. So what! he made mistakes everyone does were human.. And also we don't love him because he is the best but because of his unike playstile and mechanics.. So get out...
He cheated years ago and was forgiven by the Community, and there is always 2 in a fight (afaik the reason for the Gom house thing) Why do you even write in a fanclub of someone you don't even like? bring your pitchforks to reddit where they belong
Wait, what? He hasn't streamed in forever, and I came here to see what was going on because I watch him literally every time he streams, even at 5am lol. By far my favorite player to watch. Hopefully the ambiguous personal dilemma he mentioned in his stream in the past hasn't gotten worse, whatever it is. Also, I thought he was going to Texas for the Red Bull tournament..

To be realistic, he'll probably get torn apart by Squirtle/Parting but I'm not counting him out either.
I think the longer the games go the better chance he has considering he tends to play mech against protoss. And not many players play a mech style. Tastosis talk about it all the time casting gsl code s how the top terran players always say how good mech is but they rarely play mech because they are not comfortable with it. So it will be interesting to see how much practice Squirtle and Parting have against mech.
Day9 just said on stream what was going on so I can now I guess ;; Someone that doesn't like LS was posting his builds on twitter to parting/squirtle and on TL; as well as giving a link to his recent practice account so they can look at builds in his match history

LS showed a ton of potential in the first two games and I really think he was going to crush the blink in the 4th game before the restart. Then he tried to switch away from him gameplan to throw Squirtle off but just ended up getting away from his gameplan and losing.
A few well placed depots and he wins games 1 and 2. If he doesn't go 0-2 against Ret he isn't on tilt and leave early in game 3. A non-disconntect and he wins game 4.
I'm a believer. I've watched a lot of players play and he has a ton of potential. I'd love to see you guys go back and bring up some other pro's first major tournament experience. I know he's played other things in the past but nothing close to this level.
Now that his name is out there, I guarentee he'll be back in future events.... and now he's hungry for revenge.
I hope lastshadow comes back and proves all of the haters wrong. Practice harder and show them what you can do man, don't give in to the hate. Sign me up for the fanclub.

LS played a bit of competitive Super Smash Bros. his main was Doctor Mario. LS used to play non-professional competitive Magic the Gathering. LS's zodiac sign is Virgo. LS's ID "ajtls" means machine in Korean. LS has gotten to Grandmaster on Korean ladder with both Zerg and Terran. LS fingers are longer than the average human beings, due to many hours spent stretching them from his teenage years playing BW, similar to piano players. ajtls it doesnt mean machine in korean buttt if you type that sequence in korean characters on a keyboard it spells out 머신 which sounds machine...

If your not MC, idra, mvp or nestea people dont want to know. This is why the foreign scene is failing because of "fans" like certain people in this thread. Keep your chin up and keep fighting LastShadow!
People are fucking retarded 'oh he lost to a single zealot' no shit sherlock, if there is a zealot in your mineral line you lose, he took a risk, he was punished for it. God, people are so ignorant.
Does it really mean "machine" in Korean or did you rather mean that's how they transcribe it from English ? I'd be surprised if they had to borrow a foreign word to say that, especially considering there are few sinograms with that very meaning.
On another note, if Lastshadow lengthened his fingers playing BW, doesn't it imply his keyboard hand (probably left) is longer ? I don't assume you could stretch fingers a lot handling a mouse.

He means that if you type ajtls with your keyboard set to Korean, it will type the Korean word for machine. In BW I believe you could not use Korean characters in your ID, so many Koreans had names like this.
I really hope he bounces back from this. He has so much potential... one tournament like this shouldn't derail him. He can use this to build off of, use it to feed his bloodlust, and come back stronger next time.
I won't quit on this guy. I know he'll be considered one of the top players very soon.
I wonder what he has been doing so bad. I love his stream more than any other (even tho i prefer bio :D) and i really hope he just sees this as experience, and ignores the idiots of the community. Go lastshadow! You are epic!
God man all these haters i mean god knows this guy is already nervous enough this being his first major SC2 Tournament and then he gets lucky enough to get invited to it and everyone is giving him so much shit? Im not a huge fan of the guys play or anything but really im freaking worried as hell for him now since he apparently "dissapeared" and deleted his twitter and facebook i mean come on guys quit hating on him.
I was unaware of Lastshadow prior to the invite, but was digging around, digged the guy's stream. Also respected his hunger in going over to Korea, and his genuine interaction with his fans. He's gained another one here
People overuse the word 'hater' to mean people who disagree with them, but in the case of the LR threads and various other things the word hater is entirely apt. Ridiculous treatment of a player who's trying his best to make it in this game, and made me ashamed to be a part of this community

You haven't read a single word I wrote, have you ?
In case that's what bugs you, 머신 reads "meoshin". I'm wondering if he wanted to write an "a" and made a typo though.
ls plays the game completely wrong. he needs a whole re-working of his play because currently it is not solid at all. most of his fans are subpar terrans that don't have a clue about the game. with that said, i enjoy his stream and hope all is well.

Sorry, I misunderstood you
Googling 머신 does lead to results that translate as machine, but these seem to be part of borrowed english phrases, such as "virtual machine". Translating machine into korean on google translate gave me 기계.
People who come over to a fanclub for the sole sake of hating on a person are loathsome human beings.
LS might be a douche for all I know, I haven't followed him very closely, but none deserves this kind of treatment. He was invited to a tournament, so wtf was he supposed to do? Turn it down!? How on earth are lesser experienced players ever gonna get anywhere in this sort of climate?
He seems to be really upset about his performance (and probably all the hate he's been getting) and ends up deleting his shit. Then people jump on this and goes on reddit and other places to flame the shit out of him calling him a loser etcetc. Who the fuck do these people think they are? It's a complete and utter disgrace.
I'm starting to lose the little faith I had over this community. Influental pillars of the community (like iNcontroL) can no longer present moderate criticism towards another player (directing towards the post he made at the SotG thread, not from the podcast, that criticism was towards Day[9] as far as I'm concerned) without becoming an involuntary fuel for the community's hatemachine.
Again, LS might be an arrogant fool and a dramaqueen who deleted everything he had just to get sympathy and attention, but there is no way most of the hating assholes would have any idea if this is the case or not.
If you feel such a need to hate on someone over the internet, tell it to them when they are doing good, don't kick them while they are down, it's not very nice....

Disclaimer: I'm not saying LS's supposed attitude haven't contributed at all to what he is recieving now, but people should be able to be different and still be met with a certain amount of respect.
I heard two rumors... wondering if anyone has any information on either.
The first was that his Twitter, YouTube, and TwitchTV stuff was taken down PRIOR to any games played. This is all suppoosidely handled by a IRL friend. Also, when I try to go directly to one of the videos I had bookmarked it says it's Private and I have to log in, not that it doesn't exist.
The second rumor kind of ties to the first I believe. Someone reported that someone was sending all LastShadow's builds to Squirtle and Parting and that this person also provided the logon/password for LastShadow's practice account so they could go in and take a look at all his match history and know what he was doing.
Since the media he had wasn't deleted, just set to private, it could be that it was all moved to private to try to prevent more information from leaking out.
Again, these are both rumors and I have no proof of either.

I actually disagree. I think his understanding of the game is completely above most foreign players, you can just watch his vlogs and you can tell that he has an amazing understanding of the game. So far this hasn't translated into success, but I definitely think that he can understands the game on a whole different level from most foreigners. Remember, he spends all day talking to korean pro's and practicing in different korean pro houses. Obviously he needs to work on his play, because if he didn't he would be playing much better.

Why would anyone have to login in someone's account to check his matchhistory lol?
I really doubt Squirtle and PartinG would do something like that, also yea if they want to check out his builds they don't need to login in his account but they can just check it with their own accounts.

Do you have a source for these rumors?
I don't really see why this info would really help Parting or Squirtle... this isn't Brood War. Info, replays and VODS are pretty public these days. I don't really know how getting into someone's account could do anything either, unless you want to delete all their friends, get them him/her banned or wreck their winrate (and none of those would affect tourney performance). Pretty sure that replays are stored locally too.
They only need his name and bnet number to look at his match history. So stealing his login password would be really pointless, which makes me believe that it probably didn't happen. If anything the ST coaches just friend added his account and checked his recent match history.
Felt bad for him, he was looking pretty sick. Wearing a mask like that can be anything from having a cold to pneumonia, and on top of the travel in from Korea we obviously didn't see him at his best. Props that he still flew in and competed, albeit for a short time.
Day[9] addressed this on the stream, so it's hardly a 'rumor someone made up out of nothing'.
I don't know how to go about getting the timestamp on when he did, but I've heard several people saying he did mention something about this during the cast today.

Lastly, a question I got a lot over twitter was will we be seeing you compete in more Korean tournaments such as the Korean Weekly, and although you've said you have no desire to return to the US full time, do you see yourself competing at any foreign events in 2012?
LastShadow: I don't see myself competing in any foreign Tournaments. It's not wise for sponsors to send players toe events they can't guarantee at least a top 4 finish over 90% of the time with certainty, that's a waste of money and if a team/sponsor was supporting me I wouldn't want to waste their money when people like MVP, Nestea, MMA, etc exist and go to events. Additionally one might argue that I could try for the Code A seed through MLG. That's so morally fucked up I can't even imagine why someone would aim to knowingly steal a seed from a Korean that probably deserves it more than you. If I deserve Code A, I will win through the qualifiers, I shouldn't obtain it through silly invites or online tournaments, that's dishonourable and pathetic compared to what the ancestor game bw set as a standard for us. I'll play in show matches if requested/I get invited to, but that's about the extent of it. If I do happen to join a team that is in GSTL or KSL or whatever, then I will play there too.

This has been addressed on Live on three. He said that he was invited for the storyline. Not because he was friendly towards day9. Also you hate him? What the fuck? You hate/lose respect for a person because he underperformed at a tournament? Arn't you just a dick.

Why would you post this in his fanclub then?
Also "I'll play in show matches if requested/I get invited to, but that's about the extent of it" seems to fit why he came to redbull, but I doubt he'll get invited to any other tourneys abroad unless he has some strong showings in online tourneys. Let's hope to see that though!

To be honest, I really doubt he would ever think that he wouldn't be able to take a Ro4 finish, given the fact that no one has that low self esteem if you're playing the best of the best...
He's referring to the fact that he won't compete in foreign tournaments because it is unwise for teams to send players there who probably will not win. Thus there is not disincentive for him not to go, since he will win at least $500.

I'm not the biggest fan of LS (I actually have a bit of a grudge against him), but this quote seems to hit a little below the belt. First of all, he said he doesn't see himself competing in any foreign tournaments....which is just a prediction....and those things are sometimes wrong....especially 3 months after the fact.... Second, he isn't wasting the sponsors money. As this is an invitational, I'm sure the tournament provided for his travel expenses, or most at least, and of course, he has the guaranteed $500. Also there is no chance of gaining a Code S spot or anything of that nature (as far as I know???) so the most of the quote is not even relevant.
I hope he recovers from whatever was wrong with him, and shows some better games in future tournaments.
I fall into that hazy category here with regards to LastShadow. I heard about this guy about a year ago when he exclaimed that he would be practising and living in Korea full-time. I can totally understand why someone hoping to reach the top would want to live and practice in Korea, especially someone who had previous Brood War experience. That was essentially the last I heard of him though, and, at that time I wondered to myself, how is this guy in his early 20s supporting himself in this endeavour...
Most of the foreigners who end up in Korea deserve it; Jinro (top 4 GSL), HuK (top 8 GSL), Naniwa (top 8 GSL), Sase just to name a few. Even MajOr who had some personal issues and never truly broke the scene has showed some promise from his practice time in Korea. Most of these guys EARNED their spot in Korea and the respect of the Korean teams as well. It seems like LastShadow has been spoiled with his opportunity to practice SC2 full-time. The whole "I don't see myself competing in any foreign tournaments." seems a bit conceded to me and disrespectful to the foreign community and fanbase.
What I'm trying to point out is that he's alienating the fanbase that would care about him the most, not through attending tournaments, but rather making comments about how irrelevant the foreign scene is in SC2. Koreans are the best at SC2, but it's not the domination we saw in Brood War. Unfortunately, until LastShadow starts respecting his North American fanbase and foreign community, I don't believe that he can truly succeed in Code A. The foreign tournaments that he doesn't want to focus on would provide him with the necessary stage experience and give him a chance to actually get paid for playing this game.
I'm not trying to offend any fans, I just hope that LastShadow comes across this...
Man......... real talk hope you aren't thinking about quitting or anything like that...
YOU HAD A RIDICULOUS GROUP, Everyone knows how you play because you told everyone....THE GUYS YOU PLAYED WERE ON ANOTHER LEVEL purely on an experience aspect nothing skill wise. I was really dissapointed that you ff a tournament game, you will most likely never be invited ever again because people don't forget stuff like that.
With all that said man you and one of your friends were an absolute douches to me at MLG Colombus and called me a diamond noob and harassed me while I was playing my first warmup game to get off the computer. The reason I brought this up is, I am not one of yours fans, I do not particularly like you ( dont really dislike you)... so this is a unbiased unfanboy like statement. You are good at starcraft 2, you are innovative, you are living the dreams most people want so bad but would never admit it... you are an an inspiration to tons of people..... YOU. If you really really really want what you tell people you want, to be a pro and to do this ... you need to get over this and move on and and write another script. Idra didn't just run away when Huk beat him with hallucinated vr's ... People make mistakes and successful people overcome them. something about you tells me that you are a successful person. Good Luck if you want it you gotta take some bunches in the face to get there.

You haven't read a single word I wrote, have you ?
In case that's what bugs you, 머신 reads "meoshin". I'm wondering if he wanted to write an "a" and made a typo though.
"meo" in KR arguably pronounces closer to the "ma" in machine than "ma" in KR ("mah")
His twitter is up with all previous followers, so I don't think it was deleted, not sure what happened to it though. Anyway he tweeted saying hes on his way back to Korea a few hours ago so he's fine.
Originally I made this post for the SoTG thread but I felt it was off-topic and a bit too long so I'll put it here. Some of you here might know me from the stream etc. The events of this weekend have turned me into more of an anti-fan of LS and made me really think about his time in Korea.
The following may not be 100% true and I am more than open to correction from LS or anyone else more in the know. A lot of what is written is based off my recollection but there should be twitch vods for a large portion of what is discussed.
The fact that people still go on about the hacking is unjustified.
However the BM bit is, as someone who has followed LS since his start in Korea, 100% true. The most significant things that LS has done in Korea are:
1) The GOM house controversy. While we don't know exactly what happened in the house, LS left after a major (hehe) falling out with Juan and the Desrow incident. Also various other non-directed but heavily implied complaints about LS (I remember he was vs'ing Shuffle on stream and Shuffle said 'if only you had social skills" or something to that effect, I think Khaldor made some rather pointed posts on Twitter about the state of the GOM house). LS cites it being a bad practice environment, which Naniwa and SaSe have corroborated as well but there is much more to it than that I would think, as LS then had to rent out some college dorm or something for a few weeks and was moving around a bit, hardly a good idea for practice. LS had no practice house to go to, like Nani and SaSe. The GOM house seems to be comfortable enough, stable, safe and with good equipment, from a practical perspective there was no reason to leave it really.
2) Conduct on ladder. I'm not some uptight guy who requires players to gg gl hf and gg at the end of games before I consider them human beings but LS isn't exactly the nicest guy on ladder sometimes. He tries to wave it off as "oh I'm insulting his play, I don't hate the player at all, nono". An incident that sticks out in my head is playing vs START, apparently an FXO trainee, on ladder at some ridiculous time of the morning where it appeared that START was the only guy playing in LS's MMR bracket. Anyway after a few games, START gives out about LS's propensity to all-in (which is 100% true :D) and LS bm's the hell out of him, saying that he'll never make it as a progamer and to go and cry to Slog. There are various other incidences of it, I'm sure regular stream viewers can attest to.
3) Joining and getting kicked out of Shield (I'm 99% sure he is out). So in his second official game playing for Shield, vs the Taiwanese team Spider, LS loses and then proceeds to bm the hell out of his opponent (in Korean) and leaves with no gg. This was streamed in front of ~8000 people I think, watching Hui's stream as well as the people watching on LS's stream. Anyway later on some other drama occurred, involving something to do with account sharing and BM'ing, I never got the full story because it was never really given. LS refuses to apologize iirc to one of the shield clan leaders Scar. Shield brings the clanwar up again, things happen, suddenly LS is out of Shield.
I'm sure there is some other stuff, like his general disposition to other foreigners, calling them all bad, they don't know what their doing etc, very IdrA-esque in many ways. He usually always has an excuse for losing or playing bad, be it sickness or lag (loses in Playhem to random mid/high masters players, blames lag in a tourney dominated by koreans playing from Korea, also always using a smurf that up until a few weeks ago had no rank). He also talks himself up enormously, being GM with zerg and terran (no evidence of this, the accusations of Juan playing on the account as well), saying that he plays tons, yet never really having that much games played on all the accounts he has used in Korea and otherwise. I remember someone was asking about ForGG's hotkeys on stream and LS said "oh yeah I told him to stop hotkeying his CC's like that, its bad", to probably one of the most mechanically sound SC2 players out there. "I have ~300eapm" is a common line as well despite SC2gears only putting it at 130, he always cites a mysterious korean sc2gears giving that number like program which he has never shown or linked to. The blatant mislabeling of barcode players in his replay packs. Leaving the Red Bull LAN early is just a classical example of just giving up (@ Playhem whenever he is matched up vs say Juan or a good Korean he'll either give up or play sub par. There was a time where he beat Tails with mech on Entombed though, that was pretty sick).
Obviously LS has done really great stuff for the community, his strategy vlogs are an amazing resource, he is really open to talking to fans/players on skype and in chat, helping them out with questions etc. His replay packs are one of the best places to get a glimpse at really high level Korean ladder play. His insistence on staying in Korea is also admirable. Those are the reasons that I was a fan.
His shenanigans at the RBL this weekend were reprehensible as well as slightly hypocritical, given his line about not attending foreign tournies and focusing on GSL, it being the Code A qualifier as well. Obviously it kind of makes sense as it was a free $500 instead of being knocked out in the qualifiers. He seriously undermined Day9 by just disappearing. I don't think anyone was expecting LS to make it out of the group of death but simply disappearing with no explanations is unacceptable, no matter how sick LS was (not very if he traveled back the next day). It was insulting to someone who clearly believes a lot in him and probably caused quite a headache for the tourney organizers. LS will never ever be invited to any LAN ever again due to this, unless he makes it to Code S and people have to deal with his issues, much in the fashion of Stephano or IdrA. It also makes him completely unemployable for any team, Korean or not. What sort of team would pick up a player with zero relevant results and an attitude such as that displayed last weekend?
LS clearly has potential to be a great player but his actions and demanour are so terrible sometimes that it precludes him from making connections in the scene or progressing as a player. Good luck in the future, I hope you can sort yourself out.
@Klonere I fully agree, he needs to pipe down and let his play do the talking. Also the fact that he wants other people to get his acc into GM. He has some pretty big issues..
@Klonere I hope LastShadow responds to all of this in full, it would probably do a lot to gain some legitimacy back. I don't know a lot of the guy's history, he seems like he's really talented, but has a storm cloud following him because of some definite bad manners towards other players.
I play Terran and I would really enjoy following another talented NA player who has such a high understanding of the game from what I've seen in his vlogs (please do more!), but it's really depressing to know that his own mentality could be destroying any chance of being as good as he could be.
Despite ls's character flaws, ls is a strategic genius, and I think the fact that he's willing to share that with the community through his vlogs alone is enough to make me an ls fan. I also can't deny his dedication to staying in Korea to practice, despite all the illnesses he's been faced with recently. Maybe he doesn't play well with others and maybe his aversion to foreigners and foreign teams is slightly disturbing (I don't think being a foreigner is nearly so bad in SC2 as it was in Brood War, but the fact remains that the NA ladder is pathetic compared to Korea's so it's at least somewhat understandable), but still, sign me up.
To be honest, I was really sad when I saw the groups for for the RBBG: LS was in the worst group possible, and I really wanted to see him win whole thing, but ST_PartinG (quite possibly the best PvTer in the world), ST_Squirtle (2nd in GSL not too bad, taking IM_Mvp to a 7th game even better), and Liquid'Ret (Best foreigner zerg hands down)? I bet money that lastshadow could have made it out of any other group, but he drew the shortest straw - these three players have huge amounts of tournament experience.
There was so much working against lastshadow in this tournament - the recent day9 dailies about him (three different ones, I think) probably didn't help much, as lastshadow's greatest strength was his anonymity. He has also had so many hurdles to overcome recently, I know he spent months in a row barely practicing because of his hand.
It just wasn't lastshadow's tournament this time, but give it some time - lastshadow can make it to code A easily, especially when you consider that every korean at the RBBG was Code S.
Don't give up, lastshadow! Can't wait to see you in Code S GSL!
Incidentally, add me to the list. Somewhere near the top :D

Why would you say that? It's pretty clear that he would have had trouble advancing from any of the other groups. What players at the event do you consider him superior to? I think the only case that could possibly be made is Ostojiy and Illusion.

His twitter said he's going back to Korea so maybe we'll hear from him once he's settled in again. He said he would make another vlog from what I remember, I hope he goes through with that regardless of what happened with RBBG. I distinctly remember Incontrol mentioning on SotG that continuing to make vlogs would be beneficial to him.
You should re-prioritize if and how you want to go about being a "professional gamer".
I hope you consider some behavioral/environmental changes. Your mentality towards professional gaming, especially toward the foreign community, is terrible and your hubris is really alienating a lot of potential supporters.
You lost a fan, but not because you lost, but about how you behave. Forfeiting... How did it even go through your mind? You said you didn't care shit about foreign tournaments, but you join one, then after losing some games you quit? I don't care if your opponents were the best of the best, play and experience a competitive ground. It would have been only beneficial to you.

obviously the youtube video is fake, and i don't know who made it or whatever. everything else that happened (regarding the FF vs parting at redbull) goes way beyond SC2 for a best of 3 that didn't matter (I talked with redbull/day9/etc before officially making the call to forfeit). A lot of other things happened following that, so people shouldn't talk with ignorance.

A statement would be better instead of just disappearing, smt like " Due to personal matters I will not be able to keep playing in this tournament. I will keep practicing bla bla fan stuff etc"
But keep doing what you do, it seems to work great...

What do you think about Klonere's post excluding the RBL part?
thats understandable, but its also understandable why there will be so much backlash. If you cant explain and all we have to go by is the testimony of the haters and people who still hold a grudge from BW its sort of hard to be a lastshadow fan
I think he could become an awesome player, if he had the right mind, but atm I feel he has an unstable mind. Try to enjoy life lastshadow, and stop overthinking things. Focus on the game, not on the things around it.

how they don't matter? If you win parting it's a 3way tie and ret can advance with walkover Ret can't advance or maybe there's something I'm not understanding here

I PM'd him responding to everything he said, 99% of the stuff he said is incorrect/untrue/misformed/skewed perception, it was annoying he just posts something like this because this is how bullshit spreads.

When I was talking backstage, it was stated it didn't matter and thus I forfeited, PartinG had the series over ret and thus in a "3-way tie" ret gets the shortend of the stick was how everything was described. Also the chances of me 2-0'ing parting given how I was already playing / the mindset I was in, was basically close to zero. And thus at the end of the conversation/day the forfeit was accepted.
edit: The best part is I don't know if that was fakeposting or it was real and the guy was typing so fast it ended up in hilariously misspelled words peppering his post.
Yeah I talked about this in an interview a long time ago, this was a post I pulled from another forum, editted out details to look like me (because some of my friends followed the forums back then) and I was in school at the time wanting to kill time when I posted that. I forgot to edit out a few things (olive skin / honey hazel eyes part) obviously people who have seen me know I'm pale as a vampire and my eyes aren't hazel. But none the less its comical to look back on lol, it got me through the school day etc~

Ganzi, Sheth, Ostojiy, Huk, Violet (maybe),
He only has to beat 2 people in the group to advance (except in some 3-way tie cases). I know lastshadow can beat illusion, and illusion beat Ganzi (although it was close). Sheth's worst matchup is ZvT, and illusion gave Violet a real run for his money.

GL back in Korea LS. Ignore the douchebags!
I don't know if you know, but Illusion is pretty damn good... as well as Ganzi, Violet, and HuK. LS could beat Ostojiy for sure, but I mean, he's not favored vs Illusion/Ganzi/Violet/Huk, maybe equal to Illusion.

That's crazy, there is no way that LS is comparable to HuK or Violet. I know that some bias is to be expected in a fan club but you can't just say totally baseless things. I don't even see what the point is of saying something like that. Even if I was the biggest LS fan in the world I would understand that he can't be compared to elite players yet.

There's a very easy way to know and it's called looking at results. You're free to have a baseless opinion but when you present it in a thread, even a fan club, people are also free to point out how silly it is.

Well, they run into each other on the korean ladder, and lastshadow tends to win (at least in games that I've seen).

I'm by no means saying that lastshadow would definitively beat these players. Like you said, they're the elite in the starcraft community. I'm saying that he has a better chance vs. violet and HuK than he would against PartinG and Squirtle. And as for results, I can only judge lastshadow on his ladder performance since he has no recent tournament experience (before RBBG). When I watch his stream, I see him playing against high code A and a few code S players and winning. Not all the time, maybe not even half the time, but he has the potential to do it. Also, as I said before, illusion pushed violet to his limits, and even though illusion is a very good player, he isn't lastshadow. If he can beat Nestea, he can probably beat violet too.
I don't even see what the point is of saying something like that.
Just trying to be encouraging. No one is at their best after taking a loss like lastshadow did in the RBBG.

That's fine, but what you said earlier is that you would bet money that LS would have made it out of any other group and that's just not realistic at all.
I'm willing to bet money that LS will tell you himself that the way he was playing, he would have got crushed in any other group.

We've been over this so many times in the SC2 community, that logic just doesn't work. Anyone can take a game off a Code S player on ladder. It does absolutely nothing to prove that they would have a chance against them in a tournament. Tournament results are how we judge players, not cherry picking games on ladder.

That's a nice sentiment but you can be encouraging without saying things that clearly aren't true.
He rages quite often. Last public one was at NESC2 S2 grand finals where he lost to Boyo and accused him of cheating due to his unorthodox bo's(he's a young gamer, the young ones tend to create the new bo's).
After speaking with people that were at the event, yes he's a good player, but seems too full of himself and obviously can't keep his cool esp when losing to GM toss at Boyo's level.

Rotterdam was talking yesterday about how he talked shit to Snute about how foreigners are all bad etc. And even IdrA said that he has a bad attitude..
Raging is nothing. Idra's broken stuff after matches, tells people to apologize for playing a race, and is always BMing something. Not that I don't like him, or enjoy that, the scene needs bad guys too.
But there are replays that exist showing LS beating players like MC (Who won the tournament). He deserved to be there just as much as Ostojiy. And both of them deserved it, it's fine to invite underdogs to tournaments, even invite only ones.
Also: Here's the real "Foreigners are trash" quote
I think foreigners are terrible in StarCraft2 and don't deserve to beat Koreans. I mean obvious exceptions to this are foreigners who reside in Korea (even if they're not known or as good as the Koreans, they at least commit the same way Koreans do) and/or honestly good foreigners like Stephano, Thorzain, Ret, Juan, IdrA, etc, I could name a few more but that's the general gist.

Agreed. But keep in mind, that's what was going through my head before the tournament. Obviously lastshadow wasn't playing his best, but I don't think many people could play at their maximum potential with that kind of pressure on them.

Well, yes, it is more accurate to use tournament results rather than ladder - but as I said before, lastshadow hasn't been at tournaments, so his ladder record is all I have to look at, and it's pretty good. We saw the same thing happen with Jjakji - He didn't really do any tournaments for a long time - he just practiced a bunch, laddered hard, and came out of nowhere to win GSL.
That's fine, but what you said earlier is that you would bet money that LS would have made it out of any other group and that's just not realistic at all.
I'm willing to bet money that LS will tell you himself that the way he was playing, he would have got crushed in any other group.
Agreed. But keep in mind, that's what was going through my head before the tournament. Obviously lastshadow wasn't playing his best, but I don't think many people could play at their maximum potential with that kind of pressure on them.
We've been over this so many times in the SC2 community, that logic just doesn't work. Anyone can take a game off a Code S player on ladder. It does absolutely nothing to prove that they would have a chance against them in a tournament. Tournament results are how we judge players, not cherry picking games on ladder.
Do not compare LS to Jjakji, there is no comparison. Yes to them not having tourney results in anything big for a long time, but Jjakji is a GSL champ and LS is a chump, he's still better then me, but I still have better manners
On May 30 2012 23:24 Felnarion wrote: Raging is nothing.
It's not his raging but his BM, also no he did not deserve to be there IMO
I actually thought about reasons why he was there in the first place and they'd all make sense in a way.
It's been said that all these good ladder players need a way to get recognized and get more exposure in some way then trying to fight for passes for MLG open brackets that get taken by low league people that dont deserve them. So by Day9 advertising his stream and such got him on the map again. Then after hearing about all the BM he's done and such and bringing up that he's beaten them on KR ladder (Which is way different than playing in a tournament and beating koreans on ladder means nothing as its just a testing ground for them when they're not using practice partners) and saying only GSL really matters and all that other stuff. So why not throw him into a tournament to have him back up what he said? Bring him into the tournament scene and see if he's really as good as he's said to be by bragging about beating alot of the invited koreans on ladder and see how he adapts to their different play (Because they obviously mix it up alot more in tournaments then on ladder). His mechanics weren't bad but his BO's and such just seemed pretty bad and instead of walling off like every other terran does he used bunkers as defense which didnt really make sense and didnt work (dont even have to mention the proof game as everyone already knows what im talking about ) So he was just generally there to get exposure and see if he was actually as good as was said and he just completely fell apart.
Plus by forfieting the last meaningless game showed he didnt really care. Anyone else would have played that game anyways (even though they knew they werent going ot make it to groups) just to show that they still had some fight in them and that they had pride to atleast fight for a meaningless win and possibly make it an epic game. And using a sickness isnt really an excuse because from what i heard Violet won MLG spring Arena 2 when he was sick and played through that whole tournament not using it as an excuse for bad play.
So this pretty much gives him no right for any BM at all because he got exposed pretty badly at Redbull Battlegrounds
To be fair, Jjakji has a pro team, and his main form of practice is probably not laddering, but actually facing GSL Code S players on a regular basis
And also, just cause you can beat someone in a BO1 (aka ladder match) doesn't mean you can beat them in a BO3 or BO5...etc, no one really takes ladder seriously as a pro.
Although I appreciate lastshadow's strategy vlogs and his commitment to practicing in Korea, I cannot support him anymore after seeing his immature display at RBBG and hearing about him bullying Desrow in Korea.
NO offence but i heard he was being such an asshole towards desrow and harrasing him because he´s fat? That´s why desrow finally lost it and pushed him over.... i think desrow was interviewd about this at MLG before losing to SaSe
desRow bein' bullied? Have y'all ever watched his stream...dude is a total ass to everyone. I honestly think people are just takin' shots at lastshadow now cause he's back on the scene and gettin' his name out there again. Its the same situation as with that other pro who was recently "caught maphackin' " (I can't remember his name...) I highly doubt lastshadow was bullyin' anyone, especially desRow of all people (seriously don't like this dude and never have because my first visit to his stream was just a total BM shitfest).
The problem with current SC2 pro scene: if you had a negative incident in BW, the entire SC2 scene digs it up and then starts tryin' to burn you from every angle. Give lastshadow a chance and others in Korea a chance to speak up and say what's goin' on. So far we've only heard desRow's story and all we know as a fact so far is desRow came out of nowhere and began attackin' lastshadow.
Edit: For clarity for desRow's reputation not to be squandered (he sent a polite PM about it as well as others), his stream has changed a lot and he is not the same desRow I saw the first time I watched his stream. So please take my statement in the first part with a grain of salt because it has been a while since I saw the stream, give him the benefit of a doubt at the very least. I do apologize desRow if this has any negative impact on you and please feel free to throw any blame my way.
I will still stand my ground that I do not believe you can be pushed around as easily as people make it sound and havin' talked to lastshadow before, I don't think he's a mean guy, but I'm not in Korea and I don't know the whole story as with everyone else in the thread. I don't believe anyone should unsubscribe to either party in the whole ordeal because no one knows the whole situation other than the people who were/are in Korea.

Well, it looks like he has.
Pretty terrible to be honest. There was so much this guy could have done but it just never came together for him. I really want a good NA Terran to look to as competitive in the SC2 scene and LS was probably the best hope for NA to see someone step up. Nice job making the "foreigners are shit" mentality become a self-fulfilling prophecy for yourself.
Never been a fan of this guy but I admired his dedication. Seeing that hes quitting is just going to fuel people hared towards him. From what I've seen he lets peoples negativity get to him. He just needs time to chill out and get passed all the crap hes getting. I think he should stick with it. He should focus less on Korea right now and learn to deal with his emotions better. He lets them get the better of him.
did he really delete all of his vids T_T i think he is retiring for sure, he said it many times on his stream. I hope he gets through this 'depression' or whatever is bringing him down.

Him overrating himself is holding him down...he`s a good player, no doubt about that, but he is putting himself at a tier which he cannot compete, and when results are lacking, he lashes out at everyone...

QuanticIllusion is the best hope for sure, he is really good. Anyway his mentality/attitude towards the game was really bad, so I don't think that he would of been able to do anything in the scene anyway.
So on his stream he just said he's done playing comp starcraft and is switching to poker, but will still stream to make money :/. I hope he still plays a lot of terran though, his builds are so well thought out.
Damn, I really liked his vlogs and watched the stream from time to time. Now all the youtube vids are private, the stream does not keep recordings and I can't find any mirrors, anywhere.
LS, please consider sharing the videos with rest of us again.
In the meantime did anyone by any chance saved his tvp vlogs somewhere?
I'm kind of hoping that by quitting he will find that he misses the game more than he hates it. Maybe so. Either way, I wish him luck and had fun watching him play
I am currently watching LS's stream, and I see him wearing a fnatic hoodie, and fnatic mousepad, and what I presume is a steelseries xai. Could this mean LS to the Fnatic Academy Team?

Not quite sure. He may be takin' a break until Heart of the Swarm is out. He could definitely use it, lot of stress he could lose. Hope to see him back and better than ever when he returns!
DO NOT buy coaching from him. He will not give you the lessons. The guys is a complete liar and fraud. Check out the other forums on here about his stream and you will see i am not the only one he has done this to. Do not support such a lying cheat, and protect your money. There are far more honest and more talented players out there.
Do not support Last Shadow, I bought a "coaching package from him" and still haven't gotten my coaching. He keeps coming up with an excuse or delays or changes the coaching dates and then gets extremely aggravated if you challenge him about this behaviour.
Whether he is actually trying to cheat ppl out of there money or just too busy for his students, the fact of the matter is that I bought 5 coaching sessions from him and only received ONE. UNO. I bought these lessons in August. Nuff said
Lol, LS was talking about what actually happened on his stream. Like, ive purchased coaching from him on multiple occasions, and they have went really well. He explained that you guys just didnt message him after multiple months going by, and blame him for not getting the coaching. In any sort of industry, if you don't ask/request a time for which your lesson is supposed to be had, the person DOES NOT have to chase after you in any sort of way, nor does he have to refund you. He will sort a time out with you when he can, and yes it may take him a while to actually sort out a time cus he is very busy, streaming almost 10-12 hours a day. But you are the one that is obligated to request a time for which the coaching is supposed to be at, not him, that is not his obligation. If you say you purchased them in august, when was the last time you actually messaged him and were like "hey is there a time you are free?" its not his fault if hes not, just stop being so whiny. Youre living in the real world, not high school, your teacher does not have to chase after you.

I guess LS made to pretend he is a good coach and person. This is laughable! And first of all if you read everyone's posts about this, they ask for the coaching anbd they ask for the times, and he ignores them and refuses to set a time. And then tells you to wait and then blames you for waiting, after he said wait. I wanted my coaching over a year ago in Sept 2012, and he refused to give them to me, and finally said he wanted to wait until march of 2013 and then he just didn't play the game or make any effort to learn the game. And i asked for my money back when he refused to give me the lessons back in sept 2012 and then he gets mad when he won't give you the lessons or your money back. Don't listen to this lying cheat, the guy is a complete fraud. Otherwise several people would not be coming out saying what a liar he is.
Lol, this guy did the same thing to me. Do not support or watch this guy, he will take your mnoney for coaching and you will never see it again. He is such a piece of crap.

edit - edited photos out per request.
You're the same person (also sure TL can check Ip's)
TL's already heard your story and I made a youtube video about it in the past.
So the other 4 people on the other threads, are they me too? And please show them your message logs to me when i initially asked for the coaching. Also please show the message logs to the other people who are accusing you of this too. Accusing is the wrong word, coming forward because it is obvious you did it.
Also correct me if i am wrong, but i did pay for coaching?
Also i wanted the coaching in Sept 2012?
You wanted to wait until march 2013, and for me to contact your manager Ardnt?
So that means you made me wait 6-7 months for the coaching i paid for (more if you count the fact i bought it in JUne or July 2012).
And i messaged Ardnt in Oct 2013, he is the person you both told me to contact when i was ready, and march 15th to Oct is about 6-7 months.
And so i paid for coaching, wanted it over a year ago, you demanded i wait 6-7 months and contact your friend. I apparently had a time limit you informed no one about, and now still refuse to give me the coaching or my money back.
Nothing here can be argued, those are all facts. And yes there are others who didn't get their coaching, since their IPs are completely diff on TL, so there are others and i am sure they will happily confirm it if they bother to see this, nice try though

4/21/2012 - initial purchase of coaching, first 2 lessons out of 6 were given during this time too apparently. 4/24/2012 - the guy creates Paypal dispute since lastshadow doesn't send promised coaching material, cancels dispute after lastshadow types it out on Skype.
5-8/x/2012 - After that, he tries multiple times to set up coaching sessions with lastshadow, and in the timeframe of contacting him like 5+ times over many months, lastshadow is unable to set up a single coaching time. Until finally lastshadow says he's available sunday morning:
8/24/2012 - they try to set up a time for coaching and lastshadow doesn't show up. After that, the relationship between those two goes even worse than before and the chatlog ends with them arguing, with lastshadow blaming the guy, and the guy trying to get a refund.
Clearly lastshadow is in the fault: - Constant very late replies to any question (completely inexcusable) - Inability to let the purchaser know when he's available to do coaching - If you're unable to do coaching, a refund should be given

I bought it well over a year ago when he was very active, and he refuseed to give it to me then. Look at the comment just above yours, it gives a very good example of the situation.

If he accepted the money, he's obligated to follow through with the coaching, whether he plays the game or not.
I was asked to provide proof, so here is a chatlog between myself and Last Shadow when I requested a refund from him after he was unable to coach on 3 of the previous occasions where we had arranged a specific time for coaching and he had to cancel. This was due to his PC malfunctioning, Visa Run problems, and his boyfriend breaking his xiphoid (possibly during sexual activity). Those were the 3 excuses, whether you choose to believe him or not, that is up to you. I will not accuse him of being a liar, since I have no tangible proof of that. I can post the excuses from my chat history as well, if requested, I posted the xiphoid one just cause I found it amusing. + Show Spoiler +

So if you bothered to read all of that, you can clearly see that even after delivering no service whatsoever, he refuses to give his clients a refund. He then argues that this is common practise in the business environment. WELL MR LS, I am actually a grown-up working as a registered professional Engineer for my country's utility service, and this is not how things work. I was then forced to deal with this child since he refused to give me a refund. Over the course of the next 2 months we managed to arrange a total of 3 coaching sessions, which was extremely tedious for me to set up as he is such an elusive creature. He still owes me a total of 4 hours of coaching and 2 hours of replay review, for which I paid $100.
I would like to request a partial refund of $80. I do not want the coaching, it takes too much time and effort to try and set up. I have since found another coach, and am really happy with his service and punctuality. (He happens to be German :D ).
come here looking to see who would actually still be having a convo on a fan club like this one and have walked in to a shit storm. this is just awful, even if he is not trying to rip people off ( looks like he is to me) he is a being a dick, i have actually never really heard good things about LS. when every he is mentioned it kinda in a cloud of o that guy who got in to this tournament or something threw other methods then his playing ability.
Yea the guy is a total liar, he will take your money and run. I doubt he has eye trouble, he is playing on people's sympathy and going to take their money. That is what sociopaths or at least ASP's do, the guy is trash. Do not donate or support him.

Our chat log is posted in another thread but someone posted a reply and analysis of it, and it is the same thing, difference is he just tries to wait you out and then makes up shit to not do them for any reason imaginable.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it fraud or scamming, as from my experience with his coaching we did get SOME, and when it did happen, he was very good and helpful. It was more just incredibly unprofessional, plagued with frequent last minute delays and postponements.
A typical example would be agreeing to coaching at 11:00, at 11:20 he would show up asking for a delay as he's just woken up and needed to eat/sort something out/w.e, with us waiting around until coaching eventually starts at 13:00. This in itself is not the end of the world, but 3 of us would often have now rearranged our schedule to have 2 hours free for the coaching and have other plans/commitments we need to attend to (I think I missed about half of the sessions that did happen, due to not being able to wait around for hours until it eventually started).
Now, we understand shit happens, a single delay isn't a problem, and the first few times we just accepted it and carried on, but when EVERY coaching session has a last minute delay/cancellation and sometimes he just doesn't show up at all, that, is unacceptable behavior. In the end, as Bakchiadai mentioned, it eventually just became not worth our time to try and organize.
Now I actually like LS and have no ill will towards him, but in my working environment, anyone giving this level of service delivery would be dismissed. So maybe as professionals ourselves, we're expecting too much from a gaming coach, but surely a level of professionalism/punctuality when you've been paid for a service is not too much to ask.
So, I might as well pitch in my experiences, since this seems to be the "we hate LS" train.
I have never had a negative experience with his coaching, whilst there were some small delays, every now and then, small delays for access to an incredible database of knowledge of Starcraft and League of Legends seems to me, a small ask. Often, when we organized times, he would be on time, with maybe a delay of 5-10 minutes, and would go overtime, playing games, going over replays, or generally just discussing theory, and whilst there were some times it took a few hours to reply, again, he is a professional gamer in Korea, his schedule must be incredibly different to anything we're used to.
Overall, I'm super happy with how LS has done, in terms of coaching, and I would 100% recommend him for anyone who was interested in expanding their game knowledge, or experience. It should also be noted that LS has given away multiple HS keys, done countless free coaching lessons on stream, and is incredibly INCREDIBLY considerate towards his students, helping us with his knowledge, his experience and his time, and I have had no problems with anything, and if you don't expect delays or time mishaps when talking about timezones half way around the world (I found it hard from Australia to Korea) then, you're a fool.
tl;dr LS is a god, we love you, and I would 100% recommend him for ANY person looking to improve in LoL or SC2

Let's leave out all the times you request reschedule and I say no problem with no hassles. Or how I went over time on numerous lessons with you(even once by 30minutes) and told you no-charge (even though you insisted, I insisted back no charge). Let's also leave out how you didn't message me once in the last 70days almost and I was the one making the attempts towards the end because I enjoyed our coaching sessions even if there was some difficulties setting them (SA timezone a bit different compared to some EU and NA timezones).

These are the last messages before he posts in this thread claiming I'm unresponsive, unavailable. I message him and truth be told respond like a douchebag, because I feel wronged by someone whom I actually really enjoyed coaching. That in part with a really bad set of games for the day/other life stressors going on lead to me acting super childish in a bad manner skype chat that I'm super sorry for and have said so a few hours after the fact.
I really like you actually, as a person and also as a student. I'm sorry you feel the way you do towards me. How do you post here two days ago claiming you can't reach me? I tweet/post on FB daily. I stream 12-14hrs a day, if you feel like I'm "avoiding you" why not call me out in public forum such as my stream or something?
As I said, I have no problems with you, you were one of my favorite students, and thus I also tried to go overboard with some knowledge stuff (searching stuff up before/after lessons to bring to your attention in relation to current meta trends on Korea). However, I will not be lied about. Everyone seems to try to make me out as this villain, it's disgusting and sickening for the last six years, due to something I do when I'm 13/14? I would implore people to try to say I don't actively/publicly freely help all communities whenever I can. (saying this as a general statement, obviously there are very good players that are active) My Skype. Personal Facebook. Twitter. Everything is public for people seeking quick questions. I always respond and try to help anyone who messages me. And you try to speak ill of this?

This is the humor it all. All my social medias are publicly available (including my personal Facebook, and Skype). I negotiate prices of coaching to people who show me they can't afford certain set prices. I go over on coaching sessions often with people. I make vLogs/guides for SC2/LoL(I'm Diamond Korea in LoL, not like I just randomly picked up the game) and Hearthstone. I gave away over 40 HS betakeys (wouldn't someone as toxic as me just have rather sold them or something?). I answer anyone, and everyone (even those who wish ill towards me) who wants help with a game and has some questions. I allow anyone to essentially bm me on any public forum without me responding because I accept responsibility for cheating when I was 13/14 in SC1.
I'm not perfect. I am bm, and I have high standards (viewed as Korean-elitism. I do act childish sometimes and am regretful of that. I do make mistakes. However through this I still try to be helpful to anyone who asks or seeks it.
To quote something: "Aren't you guy that cheated against me numerous times and now you're sleeping on my couch and you watch my house/dog when I'm not here? Wow that's so crazy you cheated in SC1 when you were 13, six/seven years ago. I guess you're a bad person for that, cause everyone knew what they were doing at that age." - Artosis during one of his streams with me coaching him.
EDIT - In lieu of all of this stuff (originally didn't even want to post) will be taking a recommendation that numerous friends had stated in which I will have to set guidelines on coaching being completed within 2-3 months from purchase, but the "sessions" will hold true to their hours even if prices change/fluctuate. Will also have to start issuing policies on reschedules (for both parties, including refunds if I fail to miss time) where the party will lose the hour if I end up waiting(unless reasonable cause is presented by the other party).
"Let's leave out all the times you request reschedule and I say no problem with no hassles. Or how I went over time on numerous lessons with you(even once by 30minutes) and told you no-charge (even though you insisted, I insisted back no charge). Let's also leave out how you didn't message me once in the last 70days almost and I was the one making the attempts towards the end because I enjoyed our coaching sessions even if there was some difficulties setting them (SA timezone a bit different compared to some EU and NA timezones)"
Numerous times that I requested reschedule?? IIRC it was only once that I asked for a reschedule (which I included in the spoiler). You went over the time yes, I in turn told you that I would pay the second half of the coaching fee, even though I still had 1h replay review and 1h coaching left of my package. I told you that because you went over we can scratch those hours and start with the second half, therefore covering the time you went over. I then paid the second half of the coaching fee even though my initial package was not completed. Since your requested that I do so, as you wanted to make a PayPal withdrawal during that weekend.
I only received 1h of coaching from the second half of the package, and gave up trying to organise with you.
As to why I didn't challenge you publically if I had a problem? Honestly I just gave up on the matter, but now since I see so many other people with the same complaints I thought it would be worthwhile to also raise my grievances. Yes I enjoyed coaching, would I recommend you to anyone as a coach, hell no. You are disorganised, not punctual, and refuse your students refunds when they have literally been denied service due to problems on your side.

PS this is what Last Shadow calls trying to organise with me. Look at the timestamps and dates of his replies ( often 1-2days lead time before you can get a reply). Saying things like, yeah ill be available sometime Friday. then on Saturday replying is not trying to organise. In the spoiler you will find the last 3 times I tried to organise with him. Once I had to cancel (which I also included ), but I notified him before our session started, a courtesy that was often not extended to myself or GzStrom.
You realize the entire chat-log is posted and I bold out most of what I'm talking about? Why would you re-post the same chat log and then cut it out at the very end mid-discussion to better favor for you?
Anyway I'm done posting in here, chat-logs speak for themselves. I put everything in bold/italics that needed to be pointed out.
This whole thing is frustrating to read. As a person coaching you should realize you are delivering a service and thus when the service has not been delivered then compensation is in order, through refunds or discounts. Why not just refund the part, not coached as it is clearly evident that there is a breakdown in this contract and there is no way to complete the sessions... Why not just clear your bad name (and clearly there is a plenty of bad) and just refund a person without fighting it. He paid for a service, the service was not delivered. All this could have been avoided by a common courtesy. People are not only flaming you about when you were 13 but also the way you are conducting yourself now. On one hand you are giving away beta keys and on the other you playing tight ass with clients, it does not make sense.
I love how he acts like people are out to get him and act like it has to do with his past. I got coaching inspite of his past. I paid in April 2012, and over the course of 5 months tried to get lessons and he simply wouldn't respond or wouldn't show up. We had our public argument in late Aug/Sept 2012 where he says lets do it after hots comes out. So that means he is making me wait an entire YEAR almost to get the lessons i paid for....... And then i message him now and he simply refuses to do them and says i waited to long to ask for them, lol. And i messaged his manager like i was told back in Oct, but apparently he wasn't his manager anymore, guess i need to be psychic to know there was a time limit and new manager. So he makes me wait a year, then after that year i waited 6-7 months and now they are no longer available. Yep this has nothing to do with your past, buit it does show you haven't changed at all. And clearly i am not the only one, this is obviously an issue on your end. And when you fail to give the lessons people pay for, and they simply want their money back, you then get even worse towards them.
I would never in a million years reccomend his coaching, unless you pay him only after he did a lesson (his lessons are decent). And thats the sad part, doesn't matter how good or bad the lessons are if you never get them and get refused refunds on top of that. I have had 4 coaches for either equal or less price, lessons were as good, except 1 not quite as good, but the difference is, they were very responsive and very punctual and professional. I never had to ask for a refund nor did i have a problem scheduling. So people can get lessons that are as good and none of this hassle. Because if you pay in advance with LS you will lose your money.

Now tell artosis that he paid for coaching but you don't time to do it, and if he wants his money back you start calling him names and refusing. Then see if his quote changes.
are you not aware the +EV move here LS would be to refund? Why are you dragging this out, you're losing potential clients out of this shitstorm and your ego or w/e the fuck is preventing you from making the proper decision

Just want to say, yeah, this
Also, this is a public forum... and it seems like he is bringing it up in a public forum to discuss it with you.
To be honest, I understand that people can be busy, and that people need to reschedule, but this is the internet. for every one person that posts something negative there is probably 3/4 more who can't be bothered. On the other hand, there is one person, who created an account to post, saying you are a coaching god (which tbh, no one has denied)
The problem is that you arent delivering a service. If you cannot deliver the service, sure you don't HAVE to give a refund, but its not cool business behaviour. Even if its part of the whole, for time spent researching etc, a refund or escape clause should be included. In this case, since its gone so far, prob best to just refund them both for whats owed, and move on, smarter and wiser. From what it seems like, since you're so busy, it doesnt even look like you've done the prep until the actual day of the lesson (installing HOTS? wtf? be prepared. Flashdrive ftw, no matter the reason. You don't rick up to DJ and say, soz man, I know the slot was 8, but let me set up until 9)
On a more personal note, dam man, this is pretty messed up. How can you in good conscience conduct yourself this way? Its not even like anything you've posted has denied what these guys are claiming... you're just not caring
Everytime I see this guy mentioned it's the same bullcrap and reading through all the logs and taking into account the last time I saw him was on a stream of Tasteless where he looked more dead then alive I dare to say he doesn't even have the money, so it's not a matter of wanting to pay, he just doesn't have it. I don't even get why he has a fanclub tbh.

becose he has fans ? I personaly see LS as a pirate of gaming scene , get in to stream and make a bit of cash then disapears again . I find LS role in gaming very unique . btw sign me up hehe !
