Remember that ByuN has played a lot of TvP this season, including against strong players like sOs and Classic. This gave Dear & Stork an amazing opportunity to analyse ByuN's TvP and ByuN basically crushed him (except for that one mistake he made in g1).

There's more to the story than just him being teamless though. He virtually disappeared for more than a year and I can only assume he wasn't living in the Prime house during this time. Then he appears out of nowhere towards the end of HotS starts winning 2-3 online cups per week (almost everyone he entered) -- probably his only source of income. Then LotV arrives and he's qualifying for all the korean starleagues. No official team, proper practice partners, taking a 2-hour train journey to the studio with no coach accompanying him. People were doubting whether he can take his performance to offline events and in the first season finished 5-6th in SSL but didn't get reach code S. Second season, another reasonable good finish in SSL and now the chance to win a GSL. While there is talk about sc2 dying in Korea, if there was ever a player who could attract new talent, it would be this guy.

He's even got KT on his side. And he's joking around, saying "Oh all I've got is JYP! And he sucks!!" but in reality, he's got a whole armada of Protoss partners! The meta mindgames right there.
