Been a fan since 10-09-05 when he beat MorroW 3-1 who was the best TvT player in Europe at the time. Back then there was nothing about this guy out there, not even replays, now he's a little star
Ummm I am pretty sure Fenix did not want a fanclub and asked the person before to close the thread. No disrespect to Fenix, but he personally requested it.

That was the past : ) I was asked to do this one, don't worry : )

Even if you do poorly (which you wont) you are showing tremendous courage for playing in Korea and help bridge the Korean/Foreigner gap. I commend you for being one of the first to set the path in the GSL exchange.

I hope we will get an official statement of this coming in after the conclusion of the GSTL match. It has been known that Fenix will be staying in the IM house, but if he has been signed to the team that is pretty much huge news. I know that TSL hinted at wanting Thorzain, but Fenix signing with IM would be an incredibly interesting counter-example to a lot of Koreans joining foreign teams.
Wow I've always been a fan of Fenix. But after watching that I need to have my name on his fanclub. Sign me up! Fenix Fighting qualify for GSL again i need to see you beat more koreans!
Wasn't expecting much from fenix when I heard that he was going to korea but damn he's proven me wrong! He's gotten SO much better since going to korea! Will be cheering for him in his future endeavors!
So sick, joined IM! That is fucking awesome as well, Fenix is just impressing me all over the place. I'm having flashbacks to IEM when he fricken dominated.
I'd love to officially join this Bandwagon, always liked his multitasking and micro style of play, but seeing improve so much after being in Korea is amazing. Also pumped to see a foreigner commit to Korea and join the mighty IM team! Massive respect to fenix, keep it up
Congratulations to Fenix. He looked really confident in himself during today's and last week's games - and now it's clear why.
On a side-note, it's funny how until a week ago so many people were bashing on him for no reason apart from the fact that he lost some matches vs Koreans - and now is suddenly everyone's new hero.

Well obviously he was right about Fenix!
But based on the GSTL, trusting the IM coach's decisions isn't always prudent.
I meant more on judging talent. Still, people give him crap for choosing Younghwa over NesTea but they gloss over the fact that NesTea had not played in 1 week and NesTea himself did not think he could do well. I cannot explain the decisions vs FXO though as they were...shocking.

You dont have to always look at the record. Personality means a lot here. I believe that he has that potential to be GSL Korean level, and with best practice partners in the world it will be easier.
wow, I remember thinking recently "Huh, I wonder what happened with IM wanting to grab a foreign player". then when Fenix left Fnatic I wondered if maybe, just maybe, he'd go to IM.
i'm glad to see that I was right, this is really cool for him. i've been really impressed by fenix's play recently, and now he gets to practice with two of the best players in the world. congratulations fenix!
Good try at the qualifiers Fenix, nothing to be ashamed of. I hope you return to Korea, you've already shown so much improvement from staying there. You should have no problems qualifying for WCG in Peru so Good Luck in the WCG finals in Korea!

I don't know for sure b/c I don't know Spanish but I think there's a thread of the TL about how he won WCG Peru, also on his facebook, if so someone should put that on liquipedia.
Edit: Translated the interview for those who can't understand spanish, it's really rough but for the most part it is accurate.
Interviewer: Well we are here with the first place player that will be going to Brazil, Fenix. First of all congratulations and tell us how you felt about this tournament?
Fenix: I feel really good to be able to qualify and I hope to give my best in Brazil.
Fenix: I think the crowd behaved really well and the rules were reasonable, it was very well organized and punctual.
Interviewer: Were you comfortable?
Fenix: It felt like a really well handled event that would be respected internationally.
Fenix: I feel like this will create a big impact. . . (something about Platinum Cup?) . . .I feel like this is a big step forward for South America and the finals in Brazil will be very moving.
Interview: How do you feel you will do in Brazil, nervous?
Fenix: Uhh.. a little, with good preparation I shouldn't need to worry much but there will be really good players attending.
The second interview is the guy who placed second who I don't really know but he mentions that it's his first tournament that he qualified for and he hopes to represent his country (Peru).
